Orrin and Olson reading 1

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. When/if I say that something happened, in any part of a reading description, I mean that is what I am interpreting from the cards, their positions, and other related factors.

Summary:

On December 21st of 2020, Orrin and Orson West were reported as missing by their adoptive parents. The two boys lived in California City, California. Orrin was 4 years old at the time and Orson was only 3. Despite efforts to locate the boys, neither have since been found and little is known about how or why they disappeared.

Reading

I’m going to begin by pointing out that three separate cards have the number 7, along with the appearance of the Chariot reversed which is the seventh major arcana card. From a numerology perspective, this points to spiritual and/or psychic guidance that is or will be provided regarding this case.

The Chariot reversed is the first card in the reading. In these readings, the Chariot reversed points to a matter that likely involves a vehicle. The way I am seeing this – coming up this early in the reading – is that it was the mechanism by which the boys were taken from their home.

The Queen of Pentacles is appearing as a motherly figure who would typically be characterized as someone who is nurturing and down to earth. This is someone who probably fends for herself financially or has the capacity to do that.

The Page of Swords reversed, in relation to the Queen card, could be communicating a couple of things. First, it is showing me hasty and speedy action on the part of the person in the Queen position. Second, it denotes a lack of planning. It’s also pointing to this person spreading gossip or saying things that could be construed as insulting and negative.

I pulled the Strength reversed card in relation to both of the above and it suggests that action was taken due to a moment or time of weakness. It is almost as though it is showing me someone who felt desperate and believed that the action or actions the person took were their only real option.

The Moon is a card that shows me that what people think they know is probably illusion. It’s smoke and mirrors basically. On a very strong intuitive level, I am seeing this situation as being somewhat more complex than people are imagining. The Moon can be a card of secrets and confusion – real or fabricated. Things are not exactly what they seem here.

The Seven of Swords reversed is a hopeful card in this case because it suggests there is a person involved in this situation who has a guilty conscience – guilty to the point that they may outright confess what they know. At least one person regrets what they did or how they handled the situation and since the Queen is the only person introduced in this reading thus far, I have to wonder if it is talking about her specifically.

I want to point out that I have seen the Seven of Swords reversed in cases where a child was abducted and later returned. It is a card that can sometimes indicate a theft and the concept of getting away with something – at least temporarily. It came up in the reading I did for Cleo Smith.

The Seven of Cups reversed is conveying to me that there are attempts to create diversions and distractions. Someone involved in this is trying to put the blame on someone else and is also taking active measures to draw attention away from people or places in a manner that misleads or confuses. It might also be communicating that one or more people involved in this feel trapped by their choices. They might regret whatever they have done but feel like they’ve gone too far.

The Three of Cups reversed is showing a situation that is driven by gossip. Also, this is a card indicating a sense of self-isolation or solitude. Did someone take the boys who is hiding them somewhere? Are they trying to divert attention by spreading rumors and gossip because they are afraid someone might realize what they’ve done? Those are questions that come to mind at this point.

The Five of Swords is a conflict card. It can reflect real or internal types of conflict. It might also convey a situation where this is a lot of arguing over whatever has occurred. I just see multiple people at odds over the events that surround the boys’ disappearance. There might even be threats to keep quiet or some kind of intimidation aimed at keeping the truth from emerging here.

The Seven of Pentacles is a card that depicts someone as lacking in terms of the effort they put into something. It gives off the sense of incomplete or unfinished work. If a person, or people, set out to kidnap the boys – just as an example – it has not proven as easy or rewarding of a situation as they hoped. There’s more work involved than they thought. I don’t know if that’s work related to covering up what happened or maintaining certain appearances, but the outcome is not as hoped.

Here is the weirdest card in this entire reading. I have strong thoughts and opinions about what it means, but I’m really hesitant to even put them down in writing. I will put this as simply as I can, without really pushing my own beliefs on anyone. The Three of Wands, upright or reversed, often comes up as a travel card in these kinds of readings. Upright, it often points to travel away from home. Reversed indicates a possible return home from travels. The reversed position suggests obstacles and delays that prevent that from happening quickly. So two distinct possibilities here include: 1) the boys might be returned home at some point or 2) they already have been.

I always feel compelled to repeat that this is just a tarot reading. Tarot is an art. Forensics and things of that nature are a science. Nothing I say here should be taken as fact unless there is proof that exists or emerges to back it up.

Orrin and Olson reading 2

Reading:

The second reading begins by showing me a mature female. The Queen of Swords is the answer to my question concerning who or what caused Orrin and Orson to disappear. However, it is a little more complicated since I pulled the Knight of Swords reversed in connect with the Queen. Then I pulled the King of Cups reversed for the Knight card. Finally, I pulled the Nine of Cups reversed for the King reversed card. This is telling me there is more than one person involved. The cards are communicating that there are at least three people involved: the woman, a man, and a younger man – if the people depicted match the gender and general age group typically associated with each.

The Nine of Cups reversed is a loaded card here because it shows a situation that has gone in a nightmarish or upsetting direction. If there really are three or more people involved, there is a general sense that whatever they did was not successful in the way that they hoped. The abundance of Cups cards is telling me this is an emotionally charged situation. It reads like the boys knew the people involved and also as though at least one of those people had or has an attachment to them.

The Five of Pentacles is showing me financial and spiritual hardships. It is as though whatever happened is directly at odds with at least one person’s sense of spirituality. Basically, no matter how justified they might feel about what they did, they are fully aware that from a religious standpoint it was wrong. There’s a strong indication of struggle and difficulties associated with this particular card.

Temperance reversed is showing a lack of balance in this situation. Maybe the person was trying to gain a sense of balance by taking whatever action, but it had the opposite effect. The main person involved went to extremes here and they made hasty decisions that were not well thought out.

The Two of Pentacles is a card that depicts the person or people involved as trying to balance their material resources. For some reason, money seems to be a problem and it is impacting the situation. Traditional images of this card show a person balancing or juggling two pentacles, with choppy waters depicted behind them and boats attempting to navigate. It basically shows a person who is trying to focus and plan amidst chaos.

The Ten of Swords reversed is difficult to discern here. On one hand, it might suggest that the people involved barely averted a disaster or serious problem. Maybe they almost got caught doing whatever they did. It’s the card showing someone hitting absolute rock bottom – where there is really only one way to go from there. But it also hints to me that there are patterns or cycles of behavior at play here.

The Two of Swords reversed is telling me the truth is going to come out about this. That is what the main person involved fears the most and I do see their worst anxieties manifesting into a reality for them. They would probably be wise to do what the first reading suggested someone close to this situation might: confess. When I did an after-the-fact reading on Jaycee Dugard – once she was already home – I got the Two of Swords reversed in a position that indicated that showed her abductor’s actions and lies were exposed. Hopefully the same meaning applies here.

Strength is a card that is coming across as positive in that I have not outright seen any cards that have communicated that Orrin or Olson are deceased. The cards have not yet indicated this either way, but the last card of the first reading has me leaning toward the possibility they were at a minimum alive after they were taken or removed from where they were living. I am not sure what else to do with this card. It likely has more significance, but I cannot quite pinpoint it yet.

This reading produced the Page of Swords reversed yet again. It wants us to pay attention to this card. To reiterate, this card is sometimes associated with bad news. I also see this card come up when someone is spreading gossip or making malicious and untruthful statements about other people. It is also strongly associated with an overall lack of planning. Someone involved is probably prone to speaking before they think and if people pay attention to this it might clue them in on what is really happening here.

The Two of Cups came up as a card associated with the Page. It seems to suggest a partnership – probably of a romantic nature – between two people involved. However, this card is not coming across clearly to me in this reading.

The Five of Cups reversed is a card associated with the acceptance of a situation. People that get this card are usually moving on from hardships or working toward finding the silver lining associated with their situation. If this card stays true to others in the reading, it might be showing someone who achieves peace of mind by unburdening themselves and sharing the truth.

I will conclude by saying that these readings left me with the impression that I can’t rule in or rule out the possibility exists that the adoptive family is not responsible for the Orrin and Olson’s disappearance. I also. cannot rule out the possibility that someone else the boys know is involved in this instead. It could go either way here, but it might be worthwhile to shift some of the focus off the adoptive family and exhaust other possible avenues just in case there is a completely different explanation for their disappearance. I do feel confident that the boys know one or more people involved, however. That came across clearly. I got nothing definitive about whether they might still be alive or not. The cards did not dispute this possibility within these readings. I hope that’s the case here but I just don’t know.

Though I have no way to know for sure if these beautiful boys are alive, I do hope for a happy ending. I believe in my heart that time will eventually tell what happened here. Remember, I do not intend for anything I write in relation to these readings to be taken as fact – not without proof backing anything discussed.
