April Bailey

Disappearance: January 15, 2020 (reportedly)
Location: Nashua, New Hampshire

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Summary:

April Bailey is described as having disappeared after taking out the trash in Nashua, NH. She was said to have been wearing only a jacket, slippers, and pajamas.

Question: What circumstances caused April’s disappearance?

Row 1
Empress – Ace of Pentacles – Star (r)

Row 2
Magician – Page of Pentacles (r) – 10 of Swords
Card pulled for Page of Pentacles (r): 7 of Pentacles

Row 3
Hierophant – 4 of Wands – 7 of Wands

Reading

The reading is starting out with the Empress, Ace of Pentacles, and the Star reversed. It looks like April was in a place in her life where she was trying to initiate new beginnings, or important changes – particularly in areas involving money, family, and possibly work. Sometimes the Ace of Pentacles indicates new work or job opportunities. However, the Star reversed suggests that whatever she had in mind, or was hoping to accomplish, was not working out for her. She may have been feeling some degree of hopelessness about one or more aspects of her situation.

The Magician is a person who is resourceful. The card can carry positive or negative meaning, but the cards surrounding it suggest that it represents a person in April’s life – who is connected to her disappearance – who was (is) manipulative and dishonest.

The Page of Pentacles reversed, paired with the Seven of Pentacles, is suggesting that April received some bad news regarding money and/or career matters. The news pertains to something she had been working on or working to achieve – with the understanding that it was going to be a situation where she would not likely see positive results from the effort or work, she had been putting in for quite some time. Things were not going as she hoped or planned.

And the Ten of Swords shows a situation where she would have minimally felt that she hit rock bottom. It is always a concerning card to see in these readings – especially among other cards suggesting that people, forces, or situations were not quite working in someone’s favor – because it can point to actual destruction or ruin. Either way, it is all connected to this seemingly resourceful person and something that she had been working toward.

The Hierophant, Four of Wands, and Seven of Wands are interesting. In combination, they seem to suggest a situation where there was the desire on someone’s part – either April or someone else that she knew – to basically lay down roots and go a traditional route with something. My first thought is that it might relate to marriage or a desire to get married, or to make a situation or relationship more formal basically. But the Seven of Wands is showing a person who is on the defensive regarding these matters, or someone who feels under pressure or under attack in connection with them. In April’s case, it might mean a literal kind of attack.

Question: Who or what caused April’s disappearance?

Row 1
Star – Emperor – 9 of Pentacles

Row 2
9 of Cups (r) – 2 of Cups (r) – Devil

Row 3
Ace of Wands – 8 of Swords – 8 of Pentacles (r)

Reading:

The answer to the question as to who or what caused April’s disappearance begins with the Star in its upright position. What is interesting about this is that it is opposite of the mindset portrayed by the first reading, which makes me think that the who/what was not April herself – meaning it does not appear she disappeared of her own volition. The Emperor positions the person responsible as someone who is possibly a father figure – or an actual father – who had some degree of power and authority. I am using the past tense because April disappeared almost three years ago. The Nine of Pentacles indicates the person had a means of making money. Which circles back to the Magician in the first reading – a person who is resourceful in varying ways.

The Nine of Cups reversed is a card that can indicate addiction, arrogance, and self-hatred. It’s also an indicator that whatever this person was doing in their life, it was not causing them to feel fulfilled and it was probably creating some serious problems. The Two of Cups reversed is showing this person as either being in a bad relationship at the time of April’s disappearance or they had just gotten out of one. The Devil is another card that really makes me wonder about this person’s lifestyle because it can also point to addiction, secrecy, possible infidelity, cruelty, etc.

The person felt trapped by a situation or person in their life and probably had (have) psychological issues that are profound enough that other people know about them. Sometimes the Eight of Swords can point to someone who has been in jail or prison, but I don’t really know if that’s relevant here or not. It certainly could be – considering all of the other cards that make me think this person might have had shady dealings. The person might have been motivated to cause April’s disappearance by a desire to start new and free themselves somehow. But I don’t really see all that as having played out the way they wanted because the Eight of Pentacles reversed is usually someone who is in a dead-end job and has a bad reputation in general.

Oracle Reading

Question: What do we need to know about April’s disappearance?

The two oracle cards pulled are the Werewolf and the Three Fates. The Werewolf tells me there is someone connected to this who has two different ways of presenting themselves. Their innate nature is wild and probably looked upon as unconventional, as well as dangerous. But they don’t always show that side to them.

The Three Fates is saying that unlearned past lessons were behind April’s disappearance. Whether it was a person, relationship, or something that she had already learned was not good for her is hard to say. And there is a possibility that she did have plans to break the pattern or cut ties with whoever this refers to (if a person), but if so, it did not go as planned/hoped.

Question: What do we need to know about the person or people directly involved?

The Witch could be saying that the person involved weaves their own reality. They have a way of manipulating people and situations that usually works in their favor. The card can be positive or negative, but in this context, I’m placing the emphasis on the illusionary aspect in which this person creates a fake kind of reality for themselves and presents that to others.

Storm Angel is saying that this is a person with whom there was a lot of conflict and fighting. April did not have a stable and harmonious relationship with this person. This card also shows a situation where anything involving lying, deception, cheating, etc. was exposed. So it is reading like there was a situation where something significant, and troubling, was uncovered and then there was some kind of reaction to that which culminated in her disappearance.

Heather Elvis

Disappearance: December 18, 2013

Location: Carolina Forest, South Carolina

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Summary:

Heather Elvis was 20 years old when she disappeared from Carolina Forest in South Caroline. It appears that two people have been convicted of crimes connected to her disappearance, though it seems they claim they are innocent. Heather is still missing.

Question: What circumstances caused Heather’s disappearance?

Row 1
Queen of Swords (r) – 9 of Pentacles (r) – Judgement
Card pulled for Queen of Swords (r): King of Swords
Card pulled for King of Swords: 3 of Pentacles

Row 2
4 of Pentacles (r) – 3 of Wands (r) – 4 of Wands (r)

Row 3
The World (r) – Page of Pentacles (r) – Ace of Swords

Card pulled for Page of Pentacles (r): The Tower

Reading

The Queen of Swords reversed, paired with the King of Swords, is suggesting that Heather was dealing with two people. The person with the adult female energy would have been someone who could be spiteful and mean with their words. This person can behave maliciously and is sometimes overly dependent on others. The King of Swords may represent someone with masculine and adult energy who tends to overthink things. This person may have – or may still – come across as cold and unemotional. The Three of Pentacles indicate these two people were either literally working together or they were working together toward a specific goal.

The Nine of Pentacles reversed shows a situation where one person may have been financially dependent on another. There is a feminine component to this card, and it can sometimes point to fertility or reproductive issues. The Queen of Swords reversed can as well.

Judgement could position Heather as looking at her life and feeling compelled to make changes for the better. There’s a sense of strong self-assessment concerning one’s past and present behavior or choices.

The Four of Pentacles reversed might indicate that Heather was trying to rid herself of people or things in her life that were not really serving her or acting as a positive influence.

The Three of Wands reversed makes it seem like Heather was not finding it as easy to move on with her life, or unburden herself, as she had originally expected or hoped. She was met with unexpected obstacles and delays, which was probably frustrating to her.

The Four of Wands reversed – the card directly blocking her progress – is one that can represent unhappy families or conflict within a home environment. I don’t know if this pertained to her own home environment or if it goes back to the two people the reading opened with. Those two people have a really strong presence and energy over this entire reading – to the extent that it almost overshadows anything I’m getting about Heather individually.

The World reversed shows that Heather was still in the process of trying to rid herself of people or problems when she disappeared. She had not yet been successful at it. I get the sense from this and other cards that she was likely feeling a lot of frustration about her situation (and the lack of progress).

The Page of Pentacles reversed typically represents some kind of bad news or a negative influence. Often it is related to a person’s past and current choices. For example, if Heather felt that she wasn’t making the progress she should in her goals to get a person – or people – out of her life then there’s the possibility she hadn’t completely cut the cord, so to speak.  And the Tower shows that situation as leading her into a disaster that was outside of her control and influence. Something very bad and significant happened at this point.

The Ace of Swords is a card about ideas, clarity, and truth. The details surrounding this situation have already become clearer.

Question: Who or what caused Heather’s disappearance?

Row 1
3 of Pentacles (r) – 2 of Swords (r) – 9 of Wands

Row 2
7 of Swords – Justice – King of Cups
Card pulled for King of Cups: 5 of Cups (r)

Row 3
The World – High Priestess (r) – 3 of Swords

Reading:

This reading shifts our perspective to the person or people involved. The Three of Pentacles reversed suggests that there was more than one person involved and that there was a lack of alignment in terms of these people’s goals. There was a lot of conflict, and the people involved were not on the same page.

The Two of Swords reversed suggest that either we already know who is responsible for this or we will know. Neither reading gives a sense of a lot being hidden in this regard. I think there are some lesser-known motives and happenings associated with all of this, but the people involved are not a secret. Many of their lies have been exposed already.

The person or people involved are still fighting this situation. I don’t really know what that means, but there is a sense of there being this ongoing battle.

The Seven of Swords shows the person or people as being deceitful and engaging in risky behavior. They believe – or believed – they would get away with what they did.

But Justice is saying they got – or will get – what they have coming to them in a legal and ethical sense.

The King of Cups, paired with the Five of Cups reversed, suggest that the person with the adult masculine energy is doing a better job of moving on from the situation and accepting it – from an emotional standpoint – than the other individual. Their energy comes across very differently here than it did previously, which could indicate the other person’s influence on them (or the combined influence of energies on the relationship/partnership) was negative.

The World shows the situation as having come full circle. High Priestess reversed is another card suggesting possible fertility issues. I don’t know why this theme keeps coming up, but it is prominent when considering both of the readings. It also points to some remaining mysterious elements with regard to agendas, motives, etc.

The Three of Swords shows this situation as ending in heartbreak for one or more people involved. It did not end as hoped and at least one of the people involved feels as though they have been betrayed by the other to some degree.

Oracle Card Readings

Question: What do we need to know about Heather’s disappearance?

The Witch – Sewer Mermaid

The Witch is a card about magic and change – bringing about change through ritual or magic. An interesting thing to note, that could mean nothing at all, is the Page of Pentacles reversed is sometimes a card indicating dark magic as having some involvement. The Sewer Mermaid indicates that there was someone involved with a poor body image – whose deep insecurities were a major contributor to the situation/events.

Question: What do we need to know about the person or people directly involved?

Nightsong – Shallow Grave

The Nightsong either recommends that someone pursue a new path to reach their goals, or it warns of someone continuing on the same path. Shallow Grave indicates that one or more of the people that caused Heather’s disappearance are finding it difficult to move on. They are really stuck in the past and probably talk about it a lot – portraying it in a false and idealized fashion.

Question: Why is Heather missing?

Winter – Violet Dutchess

Winter is a card about moving on from something that isn’t good for you or no longer serves you. She disappeared because she was trying to get away from something or someone. On the flip side, it can also point to someone else making her disappear as a means of releasing what they felt was a burden on them. Violet Dutchess can come up when someone feels that they have been wronged, or that something that has happened is unjust. Sometimes it points to breaking real, or spiritual, law to bring about change. The circumstances of a situation dictate if this is good or bad.

Henry Fields

Disappearance: July 17, 2022
Location: Detroit, MI

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Question: What circumstances caused Henry’s disappearance?

Row 1
7 of Wands (r) – Chariot – Hanged Man

Row 2
9 of Cups – Wheel (r) – Queen of Pentacles
Card pulled for Queen of Pentacles: Page of Pentacles
Card pulled for Page of Pentacles: Knight of Wands (r)
Card pulled for Knight of Wands (r): 7 of Pentacles

Row 3
Ace of Pentacles – Ace of Wands – 7 of Cups (r)

Reading

The first row of cards appears to show Henry as being in a position or situation where he felt completely overwhelmed and exhausted. The Chariot is showing him as having an underlying desire to overcome his problems, or the obstacles preventing him from reaching his goals, but its positioning between the Seven of Wands reversed and the Hanged Man suggest that there were some difficulties beyond his control.

The Hanged Man represents a feeling of being trapped and the need to let go of problems or circumstances that have held a person back. The problem with this card is that it points to self-limiting thoughts or behaviors that prevent a person from moving on. Henry might have felt that aspects of his life were in limbo, and he may have felt uncertain about what to do in the immediate future.

The second row shows that Henry had a change in luck that was caused by outside forces. The Nine of Cups shows him as having transitioned, at some point, from a place that was positive and hopeful to one that became very difficult. The inspiration for this change is the person represented by the Queen of Pentacles card. The energy surrounding this person is female and adult. The Page of Pentacles is either a child associated with the Queen, or it was a message that Henry received from this person. When I say message, I mean that it could represent a communication or relaying of information between them that took place. If the Page represents some type of news or message, then it would have likely come across as positive and pertained to financial, career, or material matters. It can also refer to learning opportunities.

The news might have also been about the Knight of Wands reversed. This can represent a younger and masculine energy. The person represented by this card would be someone who can be arrogant, overly confident, and prone to losing their temper easily. The Seven of Pentacles reversed, pulled in connection with the Knight, shows someone who makes poor choices – particularly ones relating to money or material matters – and someone who comes across as unwilling to put in the effort needed to succeed.

The two Aces, referred to in the third row of the reading, refer to new beginnings. The Ace of Pentacles may point to a job offer, a desire for a career change, or some type of financial opportunity that was presented. The Ace of Wands is also a new beginnings card that indicates that something new or exciting was impending – such as the birth of a child, plans to travel, or something else of significance.

The Seven of Cups reversed could indicate that Henry felt overwhelmed by all of these changes and was not sure of the best way to proceed.

Question: Who or what caused Henry’s disappearance?

Row 1
2 of Pentacles (r) – The Star (r) – Death

Row 2
10 of Swords (r) – 8 of Swords (r) – 10 of Pentacles (r)

Row 3
3 of Cups (r) – Knight of Swords – 10 of Wands
Card pulled for Knight of Swords: 10 of Cups

Reading:

There is an abundance of 10s in this reading, which signifies that events surrounding this person and situation have come full circle. Since I don’t know if Henry disappeared on his own, or if someone else caused his disappearance directly, then I have to look at the reading from at least two perspectives: one in which Henry’s actions caused his own disappearance – either intentionally or unintentionally – and one where one or more third parties is involved.

The first row points to financial problems and the person feeling a sense of hopelessness about their situation. The person knew they needed to make changes in their life, but they were resisting or avoiding making them.

The second row makes me think this person has felt trapped by something that happened in their past. They are or were trying to learn important lessons from past experiences, but there was something holding them back. The Ten of Pentacles reversed could point to fighting that was going on between this person and one or more people around them (probably family – through blood or marriage). There seems to be a lot of conflict surrounding money.

This person may have had some kind of situation going on that involved a romantic partner or one or more close friends. The Three of Cups can suggest there was possibly a break-up, infidelity, or a situation that left this person feeling as though they were on their own. The Knight of Swords could represent someone involved in the conflict that tends to stir things up with their words and their unwillingness to just sit back and watch events unfold. I can also suggest there is imminent change on the horizon.

Now an interesting thing about the Knight of Swords is that it is paired with the Ten of Cups. Maybe this person had a good home life, or what felt like a good relationship, that changed dramatically. The Ten of Wands shows the person this reading refers to as feeling overburdened by everything that happened. There is just this sense, with whoever this refers to, that they were (or are) under a lot of stress and everything feels like a struggle right now.

Oracle Readings

Question: What do we need to know about Henry’s disappearance?

The Veil – Strange Valentine

The Veil refers to the boundary separated those that are living and those that have died. It indicates that information can be, or is being, communicated through these channels. If a person close to this situation feels that they are receiving these kinds of messages, it is worthwhile to listen to them as someone is probably trying to communicate.

Strange Valentine indicates that around the time of his disappearance, someone may have entered Henry’s life. This person is someone who is very different from Henry in many distinct ways.

Question: What do we need to know about the person or people directly involved?

Midnight – Fairy of the Highlands

Midnight is another card that can indicate there are messages coming from beyond, so to speak. However, it also points to the fact that people have both darkness and light in them.

Fairy of the Highlands shows that whoever was directly involved has felt it is time to speak or act upon their truth. They may have felt people were taking advantage of them or oppressing them in some manner.

Question: What is Henry’s current status?

Nightsong

The card can be a positive or negative type of omen, depending on the circumstances surrounding it. In a positive light, it tells a person they need to claim their full potential. In a negative light, it warns against continuing to go down a particular path.

Paul Sanders

Disappearance: 08/12/2001
Location: Mesa, Arizona

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Summary:

Paul Sanders disappeared on August 12th of 2001, at the age of 17, in Mesa, Arizona. He was reportedly living with his father at the time of his disappearance. He is still missing and no one appears to have reported seeing him since the date he vanished.

Question: Who or what caused Paul’s disappearance?

Row 1
2 of Pentacles (r) – 5 of Wands (r) – 3 of Cups

Row 2
King of Cups (r) – 7 of Swords – 7 of Wands
Card pulled for King of Cups (r): 9 of Cups (r)

Row 3
9 of Wands – 8 of Pentacles (r) – 6 of Swords

Reading:

As always, it is important to consider this reading from two different perspectives. The first is that a person caused their own disappearance. The second is that others were involved. There are strong suggestions in this reading, and the next one (I did the one that follows this reading first), that there were at least two other people. Either they were directly involved, or they have specific knowledge about what happened, if the scenario in which Paul caused his own disappearance is true.

The person or people involved were experiencing financial problems. It is as though they were overextended somehow – probably financially – and couldn’t get a handle on it all. It feels as though this person also felt that they had something to lose – like they may have viewed Paul as a threat to them (if Paul did not cause his own disappearance) or an opportunity.

The Five of Wands reversed shows this person – or these people – as wanting to put an end to the conflict or struggle. I have mentioned in other readings that this card can indicate a peaceful conclusion or a violent one. There can also be a sense of competition associated with this card as well.

The Three of Cups could suggest there was some kind of reunion between Paul and one or more other people. It is a card that depicts a happy type of situation on its face, but I can tell you that there is a lot of dishonesty surrounding all of this. I don’t think anyone can or should take events, situations, or people at face value here. Things are not as they may have seemed at the time.

The King of Cups reversed comes across as a person with energy that is consistent with someone who is older and male. That doesn’t mean the person is male, but they are coming across that way to me. The Nine of Cups reversed is a disturbing card to see paired with the King of Cups in its reversed positioning. The card likely points to someone who caused (and perhaps still causes) a lot of destruction and unhappiness. It could also be someone who has had addiction problems (may still have).

The person involved – or the main one at least – is a really dishonest person. The Seven of Swords shows them as deceitful and cunning. This is a person who does some very bad things and were/are used to getting away with a lot of them. Whatever involvement they have in Paul’s disappearance, this person believes they have been clever and resourceful enough to get away with it. This is also a card that can indicate a theft took place.

The Seven of Wands shows this person as having felt cornered or defensive about something involving Paul. I have to say that none of this feels like a situation where Paul orchestrated his own disappearance, or death if that is the case here, himself. Obviously, I could be wrong about that. However, if even half of the cards are accurate then there is one or more other people involved in this entire situation.

What I don’t know – and can’t see very clearly – is whether other people were aware that this person, or people, had a problem with Paul. I also feel there were aspects of this that were not made obvious. Perhaps the passage of time has changed that, and more is known about this aspect to other people that knew Paul.

The last row, which usually gives me insight into what motivated or motivates a person, shows me someone who had some kind of chip on their shoulder. At the time of Paul’s disappearance, this person would likely have been someone with a bad reputation and someone viewed as a failure in many regards. If Paul was not responsible for his own disappearance, then I would say there are enough cards to conclude that someone had a real issue with him. I’m not convinced that they immediately made that known to Paul though. If this scenario is the case, they were extremely deceptive.

Question: What circumstances caused Paul’s disappearance?

Row 1
2 of Wands (r) – 4 of Swords – 2 of Swords (r)

Row 2
7 of Wands (r) – 10 of Cups (r) – 6 of Cups (r)

Row 3
Justice – 5 of Pentacles – King of Cups (r)
Card pulled for King of Cups (r): King of Pentacles (r)
Card pulled for King of Pentacles (r): The Moon

Reading

The Two of Wands reversed suggests that Paul was at some kind of crossroads in his life. He could probably see change coming down the line and he may have had some concerns or fears about it. A lot of this was likely fear of the unknown and worries about impending changes.

The Four of Swords usually shows a situation where a person feels overwhelmed emotionally or mentally. If true, Paul may have felt that he needed some time to think and possibly some time away from the challenges in his life so that he could think and regroup.

The Two of Swords reversed continues to suggest that there was a lot going on in Paul’s mind with regard to him having anxiety, fears, and concerns about various aspects of his life. Many of these appear – based on some of the other cards – to pertain to people or family that were known to him. It can also show him as beginning to see some people and/or situations with increased clarity. He may have previously wanted to deny certain truths, or look away from them, but this card suggests he was at a point where he wanted to begin to face them.

The next row of cards is what makes it seem as though the issues weighing heavily on Paul’s mind were relating to family or people close to him in his life. The Seven of Wands reversed shows him feeling as though he lost a sense of power or control over his life. He had a strong sense of responsibility when it came to other people – like he didn’t want to turn to them for help because he was supposed to be the one helping (in his mind). The Ten of Cups reversed suggests disputes or conflict with a person, or people, known to him. It is a card that can point to broken homes or a lack of stability in terms of having a home. The Six of Cups reversed can point to someone who is thinking too much about the past – such as things that may have happened in their childhood or issues that they might have had in the past with people close to them.

The Ten of Cups reversed, combined with the Six of Cups reversed, make me think that there was some kind of abuse situation in his past. The implication is that his circumstances were motivated by these matters. They were on his mind and there may have been a good reason for it. I don’t know if this simply put him in an unusually vulnerable state of mind or if these are directly related to all of this.

The third row consists of Justice and the Five of Pentacles. The first possibility regarding this is that Paul may have had some kind of legal issue hanging over his head. The second is that he was seeking to put something right or get some kind of closure on an issue – in a way that would fall in his favor. In the upright position, it tells me

The Five of Pentacles makes me think he had recently gone through – or was in the midst of experiencing – something significant in his life. To give an example, people that get this card might be impoverished or severely lacking in resources. The unfortunate aspect of this card is that it has much more to do with perspective than reality. It depicts a person who feels as though they have been left out in the cold and have no one to help them; however, this is not always the truth of the situation with this card. Often other people want to help but the person is unable or unwilling to see or accept it. Again, I get this sense that Paul was someone who wanted to take care of other people and not be the person in need of being taken care of. Hard to explain beyond that.

The King of Cups reversed could represent an adult with masculine energy that can react to situations based on emotion. It is someone that may have appeared, or reappeared, in Paul’s life under the guise of offering friendship or help of some kind. There appears to be another person, with similar masculine and adult energy that is linked to this individual. The person connected to them is represented by the King of Pentacles reversed. This usually points to someone who has money issues and is unstable. Sometimes it represents a person that has money but is obsessed with material matters and status. More often than not, it is someone who is very bad with money and material issues though.

The Moon tells me that whatever person, people, or issue that Paul was dealing with was surrounding by lies and deception. A situation and/or person (maybe people) appeared to be something they weren’t. I think that someone may have also been playing on Paul’s vulnerabilities and insecurities too. If the readings are generally accurate, that is.

Question: What do we need to know about Paul’s disappearance?

I pulled the Winter card from the Halloween Oracle deck, as well as the Sea Storm from the Oracle of Shadows and Light. Winter is a card that represents the end of something. It can represent a metaphorical or literal kind of death. The Sea Storm card tells me that whatever drama or problems he faced in his life at the time of his disappearance, he has moved on from them. I’m not saying he’s alive or deceased. I have no way to know that. However, if he is deceased then he is in a better place or situation than he was at the time all this happened.

Question: What do we need to know about the person/people involved in Paul’s disappearance?

I pulled the Skeleton from the Halloween Oracle deck and the Angel of Time from the other one. The person – the primary one at least – comes across in a way that makes them seems stronger than they really are. The person has underlying vulnerabilities, such as their tendency to hold grudges and their refusal to move on from people or matters that make them upset. The Angel of Time is a card that either points to someone who is burned out or overworked, or someone who is experiencing health problems (mental, physical, or a combination).

This person would be known for, and potentially identifiable by, the above qualities and characteristics.

Elaine Park (revisited)

Disappearance: January 28, 2017
Location: Calabasas, California

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Question: Who or what caused Elaine’s disappearance?

Row 1
Queen of Pentacles – Strength (r) – Star (r)
Card for Queen of Pentacles: The Wheel (r)

Row 2
3 of Swords – 9 of Wands – Ace of Pentacles (r)

Row 3
Chariot (r) – 5 of Swords (r) – 2 of Pentacles

Reading:

I said a while back that I would do more readings about Elaine and so here I am now, fulfilling that promise.

In response to the question concerning who or what caused Elaine’s disappearance, the first card that came up was the Queen of Pentacles. The Wheel reversed was the card pulled in relation to that one. The Queen card could represent an adult female (or someone with that energy) who focuses on material and/or money matters. In the upright position, this card usually has positive attributes. However, paired with the Wheel reversed, it looks like something major happened or changed in this person’s life that contributed to all of the events that unfolded surrounding Elaine’s disappearance. It was probably something out of this person’s control and was likely viewed as something negative – whether it was or wasn’t, in reality.

Strength reversed and the Star reversed can point to a situation where someone feels overcome by their circumstances. Whatever the change in fortune represented, it made this person feel weak and concerned about the security of their future (their goals, hopes, dreams, etc.). There’s another side to the Star reversed that is worth considering. It can represent a significant loss, abandonment, or theft. So this person may have felt like something, or someone, that was rightfully theirs was taken from them.

The Three of Swords, Nine of Wands, and Ace of Pentacles reversed are showing some interesting dynamics at play. The first is that there is this sense of heartbreak and betrayal associated with the Three of Swords. The Nine of Wands can be a last stand type of card, where someone feels exhausted and drained from ongoing conflict. The Ace of Pentacles reversed might show this person as experiencing a financial or material setback. It can also indicate a sense of greed or extreme worry about financial matters.

The Chariot reversed can show a person who feels like circumstances are outside of their control. Sometimes this leads to aggression or forcefulness. The Five of Swords reversed throws in that idea of doing something – or making a decision – that allows a person to move on with their life or overcome whatever conflict they are experiencing. The Two of Cards is a card that comes up when someone is seeking out stability and balance – usually pertaining to financial or material matters.

Reading

The Wheel reversed came up again – this time in response to the question about the circumstances that led to Elaine’s disappearance. There might have been something that happened – or came up – that changed Elaine’s luck and her fate. She probably wasn’t prepared for it, as indicated by the Ace of Wands reversed. I’m not saying this is the case but sometimes it indicates a pregnancy. In the reversed position, it could be an unplanned pregnancy, issues with a pregnancy, etc.

And the Page of Cups, King of Wands reversed, and the High Priestess are really interesting to me. First, the Page of Cups indicates there might have been some news about something, or a proposal of some kind (likely a romantic one). It’s another card that could point to the possibility of a pregnancy. The King of Wands reversed, pulled in connection with the Page, is someone with adult male energy. In the reversed position, this could have been someone who was behaving in a way that was abusive or forceful. Not necessarily physically, but those are the kinds of attributes you might see with a person represented by that particular card at a given point in time. It’s also someone action-oriented and quick to lose their temper.

The High Priestess is a card I have seen come up sometimes in relation to pregnancy. It’s also a card that is suggestive of mystery and information pertaining to this situation that is unknown. I don’t know if it is referring to information that is still unknown, about these circumstances, or information that was unknown in relation to the person represented by the King card. That part is not clear to me. My feeling is that this person withholds information and that they have a piece of this puzzle that would bring together a much clearer picture about what happened.

I don’t know if the above news or situation triggered this, but the Hermit reversed usually represents someone who feels like an outsider or who has chosen to withdraw from other people for some reason. The Eight of Pentacles can be a person who is focusing or refocusing their attention to money matters or to those related to a career. It can represent someone that is trying to learn a particular trade or set of skills and has chosen to follow a path that allows them to do that. But the Sun reversed implies that they weren’t yet able or ready to really put in the work. Maybe they had unrealistic expectations or felt they should have achieved more than they already had.

The Page of Pentacles might represent good news regarding something material or financial in nature, or it can show a person who is trying to lay a foundation to become successful in the future. If it refers to Elaine, it is showing her as someone who had the ability to work slowly and steadfastly toward achieving her goals. She wouldn’t have been the kind of person to give up on a pursuit very easily. The Ten of Swords reversed is showing that she was probably trying to rise about issues or problems she was experiencing. It’s often a card about survival and an unwillingness to just lay down and die, so to speak.

The Six of Cups might mean that Elaine was trying to get back to better times in her life or get to a point where she felt happier. There’s a sense of nostalgia with this card – especially in the upright position, but the downside is that it can also be indicative of someone who is stuck in the past or overly focused on something that happened in the past.

Finally, the Six of Pentacles reversed shows a dynamic between Elaine and someone else that was not equal. It looks like she was giving a person – or people – more than they were returning. Elaine might not have been focusing on herself and her own needs as much as she needed. Someone might have been taking advantage of this too. There are situations where this card indicates gifts, money, or attention received – but with strings attached. There is no sense of equality inherent in this card.

The appearance of cups shows me that there was an emotional component to these circumstances that make me think that what happened to her wasn’t random. That said, sometimes the readings bring attention to matters that were happening at the time that may influence people to put too much emphasis on certain details. The abundance of pentacles could hint toward financial or material motives that drove these circumstances, or at least set in motion the events that caused it all.

Question: What do we need to know about Elaine’s disappearance?

Halloween Oracle: The Witch, Ancestors, Nightsong

Question: What do we need to know about the person/people involved in Elaine’s disappearance?

Oracle of Shadows and Light: Eclipse Mermaid, Sea Storm, Storm Angel

Reading

The Witch is a card that marks a catalyst for change. It can also represent a situation where a person is experiencing or seeking changes in their life that might not be looked upon, by every person in their life, as positive. That doesn’t mean the changes aren’t positive; it just means that there is a suggestion here that it is possible someone did not like them. So in this case, it is important to consider what kinds of changes were happening in Elaine’s life at the time of her disappearance and how they impacted those around her – specifically. The devil does truly seem to lie in the details with Elaine’s entire situation. And I really think there are some important details that most people don’t know yet.

The Ancestors card, appearing in this reading, points to past and present familial ties. It also points to how our ancestors have shaped us and how, despite what we see as imperfections, we are the way we are for a reason: the achieve a particular purpose.

The Nightsong can be a warning card in that it suggests not to continue on a current path unless it is directed at unearthing skills, talents, or abilities that a person possesses.

The three cards are showing that there was a lot of change happening in Elaine’s life. Not everyone seemed happy about it.

We don’t know for certain whether Elaine disappeared on her own accord or if one or more other people caused her disappearance. For this reason, the next three cards can be read a couple of different ways.

The Eclipse Mermaid points to a major shift in a person’s life. It also suggests the changes that occurred in the person’s life (the question is directed at whoever was responsible for Elaine’s disappearance) were not invited, nor were they necessarily even wanted. All of the readings really seem to want to stress this shift of circumstances in her life.

The Sea Storm card has a lot of similarities with the Tower in that it marks major, and sometimes quite destructive, change. Whoever was involved was experiencing a lot of emotional drama in their life/lives.

The Storm Angel can represent conflict that occurs because of different views, perceptions, or goals. The person (or people) felt they were going up against something or someone that was completely different from who they were as a person, or who they wanted to be. Or two people wanted completely different things and that was causing conflict.

The cards, as a whole (when considering all of the card pulls done today), do seem to lean more in favor of Elaine having difficulties with a person – or people – that she knew. Those difficulties appear to have acted as the catalyst for her disappearance, regardless of whether met with foul play or something else happened.

I pulled two more oracle cards from the oracle decks, to try to clarify the issue of whether Elaine disappeared on her own or someone else caused it. I asked: Did Elaine intentionally cause herself to disappear?

I pulled Apple from the Halloween deck and Autumn is My Last Chance from Shadows and Light. The first thing I noticed is that there is an apple in both of the images. I am getting the strongest impression that this pertains to an iPhone or some Apple technology. That isn’t the meaning that the cards are officially assigned, but it is just a strong impression that came into my mind when I saw these cards.

The symbolism for an apple in general seems varied. I did find some references to it referencing fertility, but there appear to be a lot of meanings. I just think it’s interesting that it showed up in two cards from two completely different decks. Perhaps it means something specific to someone who knows Elaine well. Hard to say for sure.

Apple is a card with meaning that can point to someone who has taken too many risks or took a risk that did not serve them well. Autumn is My Last Chance is a card that warns against relying too much on other people for comfort, help, or support. It can show a person who is going through a hard time, but still has hope that things will get better. The apple is meant to represent that hope as the image shows someone who is sad, and perhaps somewhat lost, but knows they still have this one thing that can nourish and help them when they need it. Another aspect of this card is that it can show a person who is in the process of turning to their own resources to take control of their life.

I’m leaving these open to interpretation as to what they say about who caused Elaine’s disappearance. I asked the Halloween oracle what Elaine’s current status was and I got Zombie.

Shannan Gilbert

Disappearance: May 1, 2010
Location: Oak Beach, New York

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Summary:

Shannon Gilbert was 24-years-old when she reportedly met up with a man in Oak Beach. She was a sex worker and had gone to meet with a client. While at the man’s house, she called the police and told them that someone was trying to kill her. She eventually ran from the house and disappeared, only to be found deceased in a marsh. She was found in fairly close proximity to the remains of many other women who worked in the same profession.

Question: What happened to cause Shannan’s death?

Row 1
Strength (r) – 2 of Wands (r) – Queen of Wands (r)
Card pulled for Queen of Wands (r): 10 of Swords

Row 2
King of Cups (r) – Judgement (r) – 5 of Wands (r)
Card pulled for King of Cups (r): The Moon

Row 3
8 of Wands (r) – 6 of Pentacles – 4 of Wands

Reading

Before I got done shuffling, I had the King of Swords reversed pop out on me so I’m going to include it in this reading. This could represent a masculine, mature (adult) type of energy. One of the reasons this card is significant is because it can represent people who work in particular fields – such as lawyers, law enforcement, military, etc. In the reversed position, this would be someone abusing their authority though. A lot of times, people represented by this card are outspoken. They can be articulate, but they use their words to manipulate situations, people, and facts.

That card aside, straight away in the reading we have Strength reversed. This shows Shannan as having been in a vulnerable situation where she felt uncertain and lacked confidence. There is a sense of weakness associated with this card on emotional, physical, and/or mental levels.

The Two of Wands reversed can indicate a lack of planning and a general fear of the unknown. Shannan may have gone into something thinking she was playing it safe and avoiding risk, but the card indicates there were possibly obstacles or issues that she just was not quite picking up on right away.

The Queen of Wands reversed tends to be a card with feminine and adult female energy. I think this card might represent Shannan because when it is combined with the Ten of Swords, it is showing someone who has hit their bottom. The worst has happened to them, is what this card is basically saying. If that’s true, and it does represent Shannan around the time of her death, then it’s showing that she was not in a great place mentally or emotionally. There would have been things going on in her life, and with her, that made her especially vulnerable to a person or people inclined to take advantage. The only real alternative here is that this card represents someone else entirely and they are a direct contributor to the worst happening. It’s like an ending of sorts occurred, and it was not pleasant emotionally and/or physically. It may or may not directly represent her death.

The King of Cups reversed can be someone who comes across as sympathetic and a friend, but that is typically a façade when the card is reversed. It is likely representative of someone who is overly sensitive, emotional, or behaves in a way that is immature considering their age. The Moon, combined with this card, is telling me there was a lot of deception involved in what happened to Shannan. This person probably deceived her and may have somehow lured her to her death. The card can sometimes point to hidden danger or people with bad intentions that are adept at hiding it.

Judgement reversed can have a lot of meanings. My first sense of this card, in the context of this reading, is that it’s showing a situation where someone repeatedly makes poor decisions and continues cycles that are destructive. I also feel like there is this component of being the target of malicious words or gossip. Maybe someone targeted her because they were making judgements about her as a person and her choices. The card indicates an outcome outside of Shannan’s control.

Five of Wands reversed can represent the end or resolution of something. I’ve talked about this card before in terms of it either representing a peaceful end to a conflict or a violent one. Someone perceived there was a conflict or problem, and then it was solved. Whatever that means or entails.

The Eight of Wands reversed is basically showing me that events did not align in Shannan’s favor. She would have felt like everything was working against her and her situation was out of her control. It can represent someone who feels a strong sense of fear or panic. There’s also this feeling of bad timing or being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The Six of Pentacles is showing someone in a better position financially and/or materially and offering something to her that probably would have felt generous – something big enough to motivate her to get involved in whatever it was that got her into the situation she ended up in.

Normally, the Four of Wands is a positive card. This reading is far from that and so it more than likely communicates a sense of teamwork or working together. My impression is that there were people and/or forces that all came together to make this happen. She was presented with a situation that looked like it was beneficial, surrounding by at least one person who pretended to be something they weren’t, and something terrible happened.

Question: Who or what caused Shannan’s death?

Row 1
3 of Wands – 6 of Swords – 9 of Wands (r)

Row 2
King of Cups (r) – 8 of Wands – Queen of Wands (r)
Card pulled for King of Cups (r): Empress
Card pulled for King of Wands (r): 9 of Pentacles

Row 3
5 of Wands – Queen of Pentacles (r) – Emperor (r)
Card pulled for Queen of Pentacles (r): 3 of Swords (r)

Reading:

It definitely seems there was more than one person involved in all this. I got the King of Cups reversed and the Queen of Wands reversed again. I got them in the first reading. Now I am not so sure that the Queen of Wands reversed represented Shannan. I think there might be a woman involved in this – possibly someone who helped lure her or convince her the situation was safe – or someone who has the energy of a female. There is a lot of female energy in this reading, and I can’t shake this impression that there is a woman directly linked to all of this. I’ll get into that all more though as I go through the cards.

The Three of Wands is showing me someone who probably did – or does – travel. This is probably someone who feels good about the choices they have made and has experienced success. They felt – or feel – like they worked hard, and it has paid off.

The Six of Swords is suggesting to me that this person feels like they have moved beyond whatever happened with Shannan and those surrounding circumstances. There is a kind of calm-after-the-storm sense to this card and so maybe they came under suspicion at one time, or felt they had some heat on them, but they have moved on from that.

The Nine of Wands reversed is a person that is stubborn and does not learn from past mistakes or situations. They might be prone to paranoia or feeling overwhelmed by situations or problems. There are multiple cards in these readings that suggest there is a lack of learning from the past, but I can’t tell if this is the card’s way of saying that what happened with Shannan is a part of someone’s repetitive mistake cycle or what.

This person comes across – or did – as someone with good intentions. People perceive that this person is safe and friendly. They aren’t. The Empress likely represents a female that was – or still is – involved with this person. I am not getting the sense that this is someone that merely has some suspicions about this person; instead, it feels like they are a direct force in all of this. And the Empress would come across positively as well. Like I always say, it’s just a tarot reading, and it could be completely off. However, if this is even remotely accurate then we are probably looking at two primary players in this and one of them is likely a woman.

What I don’t like about this reading is that cards like the Three of Wands and the Eight of Wands make it seem like the person – or people – have been living a good or decent life in terms of being enjoyable for them. The person or people might feel like the universe supports their endeavors. I don’t know how else to explain that part, but in both readings, there is this impression that there is a feeling of being justified – almost like someone is doing something beneficial. I can’t explain that. I can only say I am compelled to share that.

The Queen of Wands reversed came up before. This time the card appeared with the 9 of Pentacles which is a card that depicts someone successful and probably mature in age (not a teenager or young adult). I think this probably represents the female. It can be someone who has achieved financial and material independence – either on their own or through marriage. They may even come across as elegant to people. Ironically, the Nine of Pentacles reversed can come up when there is prostitution associated with a situation. But in this reading, it is upright.

The Five of Wands shows a lot of conflict and disagreements. There can be a competitive side to this card also. I don’t know if it is denoting what is going on in the person or people’s life or if it is just showing them as being someone that causes conflict. Someone that likes to argue and get their way. Someone who does not shy away from a problem or a fight. Perhaps, right now, they are experiencing significant problems or disruption. I’m not really sure with this one.

The Queen of Pentacles reversed could be someone already mentioned, or it could be another person with knowledge or involvement in what happened to Shannan. Sometimes this card is linked to prostitution. It can be connected to people that are social climbers and use people for material or financial ends.

The Emperor reversed is someone who is – or was – likely in a respectable kind of position or profession. However, it is someone who would have used whatever power and respect they had in harmful ways. Such a person is usually controlling. They can be rigid in their thinking and behavior. Other people may view them as a leader or as someone with notable accomplishments. It can indicate significant corruption as well – either personal or systemic.

There is definitely a sense of something bigger going on with all of this and I think there is at least one person who has been directly involved that might come as a surprise to people. I don’t think that what happened to Shannan was an accident. Based entirely on the readings, I think more than one person is involved – but I’m not sure of their exact role. The person that came up in the first reading – with the King of Swords reversed – is probably out there spreading false information and talking about the case. I just see this person being active in discussions (possibly even online) about the case and intent on shifting blame or victim-shaming even.

There’s a lot of information that we don’t have here – that is available in some way (I don’t know how but I do think it’s out there) – that would shed a lot more light on this if we had it.

Suzanne Morphew

Disappearance: 05/10/2022
Location: Chaffee County, Colorado

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Summary:

Suzanne Morphew is said to have gone out to ride her bike on May 10th of 2020 – on Mother’s Day. She has reportedly not been seen since.

Question: What happened to cause Suzanne to disappear?

Row 1
Star (r) – Knight of Pentacles – The Fool
Card pulled for Knight of Pentacles: Death (r)

Row 2
Strength (r) – Justice – 5 of Pentacles

Row 3
Temperance (r) – 2 of Wands (r) – 7 of Pentacles (r)

Reading:

When Suzanne disappeared, the Star reversed is showing that she wasn’t going through a great time in her life. She might have been feeling a sense of hopelessness, despair, and a lack of faith that everything would work out the way it should.

The Knight of Pentacles is a younger and more masculine type of energy (doesn’t mean it has to be a young adult or a male; that’s just the energy it projects) that is focused on the practical things in life. There’s an air of being stubborn and working slowly toward a goal. I’m not sure if this was a person in Suzanne’s life – or someone she came in contact with – or if it’s more of an energy surrounding what was going on with her. Death reversed, pulled in connection with the Knight card, could indicate a change that was forced upon someone – or an anticipated one that someone didn’t really want. It’s usually something major, such as the death of someone close or a divorce.

The Fool makes me think there was some kind of plan in place, or serious thoughts of a plan, for travel or something along those lines. I don’t know if Suzanne was planning to take a trip or embark on something new, but I’m really leaning toward some kind of travel here because the Two of Wands reversed – a card coming up – is showing the possibility of canceled plans or just poor planning in general. The Fool would be a lack of concrete planning or perhaps just not thinking everything through ahead of time. It could also be an attempt to put this all together without the benefit of having time to really plan for it.

Strength reversed is another card that makes me think that Suzanne was going through something significant and emotionally difficult. It’s another card that can indicate depression, self-esteem issues, and overall insecurity. It is also something people might get when they know they need to make a big change, but they have a lot of fear about it. Or resistance to it as Death reversed could suggest as well.

The Justice card makes me also think that maybe there was something going on with Suzanne that was coming down on her in terms of accountability – or cause-and-effect. Everyone’s actions have consequences. The card could also point to some kind of legal issue or dispute – or one that was anticipated if Suzanne were to make the changes that the other cards are suggesting she felt she needed to make, but that she also feared. It’s a major force in all of this. One of many triggers, perhaps.

The Five of Pentacles is another card suggesting some financial or material difficulty that might have been occurring or looming in the near future. It can come up when a person does not feel they have the support they need or feel left out in the cold, so to speak. I have seen it come up in situations where there is a divorce or a breakup of a relationship. We have multiple cards pointing this way and so that could be the source of her depression, as well as the indication of some kind of possible legal situation.

Temperance reversed is a card showing imbalance and conflict. Whatever was going on kind of reached a boiling point. There was a rapidly escalating situation.

The Two of Wands reversed can be equated to not taking action or canceling plans. If Suzanne was seriously considering doing something in particular – travel-related or otherwise – there was a sudden cancelation of these plans. I don’t know if it was because something happened to her or if something threw a wrench into whatever it was that she was hoping to do, but something went wrong there.

The Seven of Pentacles reversed is one of those cards that comes up when someone doesn’t finish a project they started or doesn’t follow through with something – either because they choose not to or because they are stopped from doing so by something or someone else. So did someone find out what she was planning to do and react to it? I’m truly not sure. But there was a lot of conflict, despair, and uncertainty in Suzanne’s life around the time she disappeared. I would expect people close to her to have knowledge of that. It was too significant to hide, I would think.

There are enough pentacles that cropped up to make me think there were some money problems or issues connected to all this as well. Or ones that exacerbated the situation beyond what it already was.

Question: Who caused Suzanne’s disappearance?

Reading

There are a lot of influences here and while that doesn’t mean there were multiple people involved in whatever happened to Suzanne, it’s important to consider that a lot of different people have pieces of the larger puzzle that are needed to solve it.

The Nine of Pentacles is usually associated with people that are independent and have the ability to be financially independent. There’s a sense of age and maturity that often comes with this card, though not always.

There are two Queen cards in the reversed position. The Queen of Swords reversed can be someone making accusations without necessarily having all of the information, or someone who can be prone to spreading gossip. The Queen of Wands reversed is someone who might be behaving in a jealous manner or a malicious one – someone with a bad temper and someone possibly prone to acting impulsively. It can be someone acting as a bully and someone who is extremely manipulative. While the Queen of Swords reversed energy is someone who approaches their fights using words, the Queen of Wands reversed is more action-oriented. Do one of these represent Suzanne, with the other representing someone else? Or are we looking at two totally different people creating drama for Suzanne?

The Four of Swords reversed is a card that makes me think that Suzanne was trying to find a way of coping with – or resolving – the situation she was in. But I would think that she must have felt under attack in a lot of ways, and this was definitely impacting her mental state in terms of what she felt equipped to handle.

The Knight of Cups is a younger, masculine type of energy that could represent a romantic type of proposal or a person that made that kind of gesture. The Ace of Swords reversed is some kind of idea or initial plan that for whatever reason was not coming to fruition. It was one in the really early stages of planning, and possibly not really vocalized to a lot of people yet. But it can also represent a situation where a person is not seeing what is really going on because their perception is clouded or they have been led to think one thing, when really something else is happening.

The Six of Swords reversed is someone seeing that trouble is coming and trying to delay the inevitable. It probably pertains to whoever is responsible for Suzanne’s disappearance because the main question pertains to them. But it can also be a card showing someone as feeling trapped by someone and as though they have nowhere left to run, as well as a cancelation of travel plans. It’s like if someone were confronted and cornered, is how it comes across. Literally trapped is what I keep getting.

See, I really think Suzanne had some kind of plan to leave somewhere or go on a trip or something, and someone put a stop to those plans. It feels like more than just her planning to end a relationship too. There are a lot of cards indicating travel that is either canceled or does not occur for whatever reason.

The Knight of Wands was probably someone in her life, or that she came in contact with, that she viewed positively, who was adventurous and could be romantic. It’s also someone who could be impulsive and maybe a bit of a flirt with more than one person. So I think maybe Suzanne felt swept off her feet by someone like this. But then the Page of Cups reversed is showing her as possibly receiving some kind of bad news from or about or in connection with this person. Another thing that I don’t love about this card is the hint at a situation where someone might have behaved vindictively or in a way that was exploitative in reference to this person. So is this a matter of someone different reacting to whatever was happening with this Knight person? Or is this trying to say the Knight person is someone else to consider? It can get confusing when there is so much going on in a person’s life when they disappear, or when something happens to them.

The High Priestess reversed is suggesting there were secrets involving this Knight person. There was also a sense of nostalgia. I’m not sure what that means exactly, but there is someone here that was involved in Suzanne in a way that wouldn’t have been as obvious to everyone as a known boyfriend or husband. Maybe infidelity or a secret relationship of sorts. There is this sense of secrets and betrayal from multiple sides? Or at least, that feels like it was the perception on the part of more than one person. Sometimes the High Priestess reversed is an obvious or a hidden enemy as well. Perhaps someone trusted with secrets who shouldn’t have been.

The Tower reversed is one of those cards where there is a resistance to change, but also this sense of impending doom. It’s like waiting for the other shoe to drop. Maybe the person responsible is kind of surprised they haven’t been caught or thought they would go down for this early on, and then didn’t. Maybe they were already considered a person of interest with the police, but police didn’t pursue it further. It is basically a situation that was a near disaster for this person. They almost got caught and they are concerned they might still.

The Six of Cups reversed is a weird one to come up. It’s someone who is stuck in the past. It’s usually the distant past. Someone that gets stuck on things that happened in their much earlier past. It can also be someone who is trying to rid themselves of the past or let go of it. This almost certainly pertains to whoever is responsible for Suzanne’s disappearance, but I don’t really know how this one fits in here exactly. Is it saying that Suzanne goes way back with this person? Or is it something else altogether?

The Hermit shows this person as kind of going off and doing their own thing. In a way they are probably reflecting on everything and contemplating it all. There is a sense of isolation and the seeking of solitude to process everything. They’ve disconnected from people – even though those around them might not realize it fully.

I wish I could say that I think Suzanne is okay, but if I were just to go by these readings then I would say I highly doubt that. But these are just tarot readings and as always, I hope I’m wrong in this interpretation. Time will tell on this one though.

And that’s the thing that I want to stress here… I do think time will reveal what really happened.

Timmothy Pitzen

Disappearance: May 11, 2011
Location: Aurora, Illinois

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Summary:

Timmothy Pitzen was six-years-old when he was last seen on May 11th of 2011. His mother, Amy Fry-Pitzen, is said to have taken him on a trip for three days to various water and amusement parks. She was found deceased in a motel room in Rockford, Illinois, and the cause of death was ruled as a suicide. She did not indicate where Timmothy was or what happened to him, except to say that he was safe and in someone’s care.

Question: What circumstances caused Timmothy’s disappearance?

Row 1
The Fool – 7 of Wands – The Hermit (r)

Row 2
Queen of Pentacles – Strength – Knight of Swords
Card pulled for the Queen of Pentacles: 9 of Swords
Card pulled for the Knight of Swords: 6 of Wands

Row 3
8 of Wands (r) – 2 of Swords (r) – 4 of Swords

Reading

The Fool is the first card in the reading and probably represents the trip that Timmothy and his mom took. The card suggests there was spontaneity to those circumstances and that it was not something that was well planned in advance. It could have been planned, just not with a lot of clear or advanced notice.

The Seven of Wands is showing a person who felt under attack and protective (and potentially territorial).

The Hermit reversed shows a person feeling as though they have been cast aside and are not wanted. It’s someone who feels withdrawn and rejected.

The Queen of Pentacles would normally be a positive card in that it usually represents an older feminine type of energy. It is associated with mother or motherly figures who put a lot of time and effort into their home life (and work life if they are career minded). However, the Nine of Swords came up in connection with this person and this shows me someone experiencing a deep depression or a deep sense of unhappiness, anxiety, and overall negativity. It can indicate significant mental health issues.

The Strength card seems to indicate that there was an effort to push through it all and overcome those internal feelings of self-doubt, regret, negativity, etc.

Strength is situated between the Queen and the Knight of Swords, which tells me that whoever falls into the position of the Knight was perceived as the main obstacle preventing the person in the Queen’s position from overcoming what she was going through. The Knight of Swords comes across as a younger adult energy – or younger in terms of their behavior and thought patterns – who was (or still is) good with words and opinionated. This is a person that would tell you how they are feeling about something directly and clearly.

The Six of Wands came up in connection with the Knight of Swords. This card indicates a desire for recognition, attention, praise, and/or support. It’s also a card about winning and that desire that a person might have to achieve victory or gain an advantage.

The Eight of Wands reversed can represent impulsivity and a lack of control. It also indicates bad timing – such as being in the wrong place at the wrong time, or circumstances not going in one’s favor.

The Two of Swords reversed is interesting because it suggests that there was something that came to light that would explain what triggered all of this. It’s a card about lies being exposed and the truth coming out. It’s also representative of emotional turmoil and feelings that have become overwhelming.

The Four of Swords is the card that comes up when someone has experiences complete mental and/or emotional overload and need to find relief or rest from it. In this case, it seems to point to Amy’s suicide and the culmination of emotions that appear to have led up to it.

Question: Who or what caused Timmothy’s disappearance?

Row 1
5 of Cups (r) – Judgement – 2 of Pentacles

Row 2
6 of Cups – 8 of Cups – Strength

Row 3
5 of Swords – Hanged Man – 4 of Cups (r)

Reading:

This doesn’t come across as a situation where there was an outside person that got involved in the circumstances surrounding Timmothy’s disappearance. What I mean by this is that it’s reading like the mom is the who and the what here.

The Five of Cups reversed is a card about overcoming despair and letting go of sorrow.

Judgement can represent a self-evaluation of sorts and the idea of a rebirth or life changing opportunity. It can also be about transformation and starting again. It makes me wonder what Amy’s religious or spiritual beliefs were because there is this sense that she did what she did with this expectation in mind that it wasn’t the actual end. It’s possible that she believed in life after death and that the only way to get relief from the emotions and problems she was experiencing was through the process of dying. I don’t know how to explain that better, but it’s just a strong feeling I got as I read these cards.

The Two of Pentacles shows someone who experienced ups and downs – likely trying to find balance or a way to deal with the chaos they felt was surrounding them or within them.

The Six of Cups can be a card about reminiscing – for better or worse – about one’s childhood or past experiences. Sometimes it can indicate that a person was abused as a child, but not always.

The Eight of Cups is walking away from a person or situation that one feels is no longer beneficial to them. What’s odd about it is that is often comes with this dynamic of gathering strength and courage to accomplish this. So I don’t know if Amy felt torn about her plans and was trying to gather the courage to execute them, or if there is another component to this card that I’m not seeing.

Strength came up again in this reading and is about overcoming hardships. Often it pertains to feelings of doubt or disbelief in a person’s ability to persevere.

The Five of Swords is a conflict card, but it can also indicate self-sabotage and violence. It usually denotes situations where a person doesn’t feel like they can completely overcome the problem or whoever is associated with it, and so they either admit defeat or they take other action.

The Hanged Man is showing the need for release and a feeling of being confined or trapped. It’s also a card of sacrifice – usually with the belief that it is for a greater good or a higher cause/power.

The Four of Cups reversed is when a person leaves a period of stagnation. They feel they have a viable opportunity to do something, and they take it.

Neither of the readings gave me clear insight into what happened to Timmothy specifically. There are definitely a lot of cards suggesting emotional distress/mental illness on the part of the mom. Like I always say, these are just tarot readings, and I don’t have a way to know what happened for sure or what the facts are surrounding these situations. I didn’t see cards that suggested Timmothy is alive, but there weren’t any that outright showed him as deceased either. The mom might have possibly had some beliefs about the afterlife and/or reincarnation that fueled some of the decisions she made. It would be interesting to know what her religious and spiritual beliefs were regarding all that because I think it would tell people a lot about what really happened here and why.

Claudia Lawrence

Disappearance: March 19, 2009
Location: Heworth, York, England

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Summary:

Claudia was last described as being seen on March 19th of 2009. She is said to have left her home to go to work and then disappeared. She was 35-years-old at the time.

Question: What circumstances caused Claudia’s disappearance?

Row 1
9 of Cups – Page of Cups – 5 of Swords
Card pulled for the Page of Cups: 7 of Wands

Row 2
2 of Pentacles (r) – Queen of Cups (r) – 6 of Swords (r)
Card pulled for the Queen of Cups (r): Ace of Wands

Row 3
The Lovers – The Devil – 8 of Swords (r)

Reading

There was a lot going on around the time that Claudia disappeared. The Nine of Cups is suggesting that she went into these circumstances (the ones that caused or contributed to her disappearing) in a good place mentally and emotionally. It’s a card that indicates satisfaction with a person’s accomplishments, happiness, and just a general sense of wellbeing.

The Page of Cups is either a young person, such as a child, or a message. In this case, it is likely a message that she received in reference to a relationship. Upright, it is usually good news and so it’s interesting that it is coming up in reference to all this as a contributing factor. Sometimes it represents a proposal, a marriage, a pregnancy, or the revelation that someone has romantic type feelings for someone.

But the odd thing is that the Seven of Wands, pulled in relation to the Page of Cups, is showing a situation where someone feels like they have to defend themselves. It is a card where someone stands firm regarding their beliefs, interests, or position on a matter. Sometimes the person who is taking this defensive stance is responding to a situation that calls for it – like an accusation or something definitive; however, there are times when a person reacts this way and there are not necessarily circumstances to warrant it. I don’t know what the case is here.

The Five of Swords is showing me conflict arising from this situation though. It is another defensive type of card, where someone feels as though they are under attack. However, given that it is the second one presenting this general theme, I feel like it is trying to drive home that the conflict was real (not imagined) and that it escalated quickly.

The Two of Pentacles reversed is showing a situation where Claudia was trying to find a balance. It can come up in times of financial distress, but it can also indicate a situation where someone is trying to juggle too many things at once – and it is just too much. Maybe a plan went awry – or perhaps the news kicked off a change in the course of her life – and she didn’t have a contingency plan in place. So maybe she also didn’t expect whatever came her way.

The Queen of Cups reversed could represent Claudia’s mindset at this particular point in time, or it could represent an entirely different person. It would be someone with energy consistent with an adult female – who is responding to things in an overly sensitive and/or emotional way and is likely depressed over their circumstances. The Ace of Wands, pulled in relation to this card, is about new beginnings and is generally positive. It can indicate plans to travel, a pregnancy, or a new business/creative idea. If it doesn’t represent Claudia, then I wonder if it represents whoever she felt on the defensive with, and someone directly involved in the conflict mentioned previously.

What’s interesting about the Queen card is that the next one – the Six of Swords reversed – is a card that can indicate canceled travel plans. It can also indicate drowning in some cases or being put in a situation where you have nowhere to go – nowhere to run.

The Lovers could represent an important decision that Claudia was faced with making or it could indicate a romantic type of relationship situation.

The Devil is troubling in this reading because it’s showing these potential issues surrounding the situation, such as addiction, obsession, infidelity, cruelty, etc. It can indicate acts of violence as well.

The Eight of Swords reversed is a card that comes up when someone is trying to achieve a sense of freedom. It can also indicate standing up to someone who is abusive. It comes up sometimes when a person has had enough of something, and they seek freedom from it.

We will see what the next reading shows, but this is reading almost like a situation where someone had a romantic interest in Claudia that was beyond what would be considered normal or healthy. Maybe she didn’t realize this at first, but if accurate, then something seems to have happened to tip her off and that’s when everything might have gotten crazy for Claudia.

Question: Who or what caused Claudia’s disappearance?

Row 1
6 of Wands – 5 of Pentacles (r) – 7 of Pentacles

Row 2
5 of Wands (r) – 4 of Pentacles – The Wheel (r)

Row 3
10 of Wands – The Devil – 4 of Cups

Reading:

This reading refers to whoever is responsible for Claudia disappearing and so the cards pertain to them. I’m not getting a bunch of court cards or anything that is suggesting a lot of people were involved. It seems and feels like there is just one main player who is responsible for all this, but that doesn’t mean that didn’t have someone helping. It’s just not clear from all this.

The Six of Wands shows a person who wants public recognition and admiration.

The Five of Pentacles reversed suggests the person may have once experienced hardships pertaining to financial or material matters but overcame them. It can indicate employment or the paying off of debts.

The Seven of Pentacles is showing that the person was experiencing some of the fruits of their labor, so to speak. They might have put some hard work into something, and it appeared to be paying off.

The Five of Wands reversed can indicate the end of a struggle or a conflict. But it can also have another facet where someone is experiencing a lot of pent-up energy, suppressing their temper, and/or acting in a way that seeks to avoid conflict.

This person has some issues with regard to holding on too tightly to possessions, money, and/or people. This card does not necessarily represent someone who has money; it is more a representation of someone who does not want to share whatever it is they have.

The Wheel reversed shows them as having experienced a complete change of luck or fortune. Something threw a wrench into their plans or life, it seems.

The Ten of Wands shows them as feeling overburdened and stressed out – with too many responsibilities and a lack of focus.

The Devil is showing that the issues that came up in the first reading, as indicated by the exact same card, as associated with this person in particular. It’s possible this is someone who had addictions, but there’s definitely an obsessive quality about this person.

The Four of Cups is showing them as refusing or missing out on opportunities, feeling disillusioned, and maybe even living in a fantasy land of sorts. Often the focus of the person represented by this card is either negative or apathetic.

So for a person with no understanding of who might be involved in all this, the above doesn’t tell me enough to identify them. However, that could be a completely different story for someone who does have extensive knowledge and knows of a suspect – or multiple – and can narrow it down.

Merna Kasha

Found deceased: May 28th, 2022
Location: Sydney, Australia

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Summary:

Merna Kasha was 18-year-old when she disappeared on April 28th of 2022 in Sydney, Australia. A month later, Merna’s body was recovered from a creek.

Question: What circumstances caused Merna’s death?

Row 1
Wheel of Fortune – 9 of Swords – 10 of Swords

Row 2
Ace of Cups (r) – 4 of Wands – The Star (r)

Row 3
2 of Pentacles – 4 of Swords – 7 of Swords (r)

Reading

The Wheel of Fortune is showing a massive shift in Merna’s circumstances, luck, and fate. It marks a major turning point that occurred in her life. The shift likely occurred quickly too. There is an implication with this card that the changes are due to external forces and not necessarily caused by the person or people experiencing the situational shift.

The Nine of Swords is showing me that Merna was experiencing a lot of fear and anxiety prior to her death. The level of distress and emotion that is usually tied to this card is significant. It also shows her as being or feeling isolated.

The Ten of Swords is a card of hitting rock bottom or reaching the end of something. It can also signify situations involving betrayal or backstabbing – real or imagined. Merna’s situation had become very dire.

The Ace of Cups reversed could be suggesting that her sadness and upset stemmed from something like a breakup, a miscarriage, the cancelation of some kind of event that was supposed to occur, or something along those general lines.

The Four of Wands is a card that is supposed to represent happy families, celebrations, and success. However, it is situated between the Ace of Cups reversed and the Star reversed – not a great place to be because it can denote desire and wishes, versus how a situation is in reality.

The Star reversed can represent despair, hopelessness, a situation that didn’t turn out as one hoped, a lack of faith that things will get better, etc.

The Two of Pentacles is a card associated with attempts to achieve balance, uncover financial resources, address possible issues in a partnership of some kind, and the experiencing of ups and downs.

The Four of Swords is a card that can come up when a person feels completely overwhelmed emotional and needs solitude or sanctuary. It can depict someone going into a state of self-protection or preservation. It is another card that can show people and circumstances surrounded by anxiety and fear.

The Seven of Swords reversed can have a lot of meanings, but it often relates to keeping secrets, deceiving oneself, ignoring people’s warnings, and getting caught doing something bad.

Question: Who or what caused Merna’s death?

Row 1
Hierophant (r) – Temperance – 2 of Pentacles (r)

Row 2
4 of Pentacles (r) – 6 of Swords – 8 of Cups (r)

Row 3
10 of Pentacles – 9 of Cups (r) – 8 of Wands (r)

Reading:

As is the case with some readings, we are faced with considering two different scenarios here. The first is that Merna died by her own hand or because of her own actions – even if unintentionally. The second is that this reading is referring specifically to a person who caused her death – on purpose or accidentally.

The Hierophant reversed is someone behaving in a way that is rebellious or unconventional. It could also indicate someone receiving bad advice about something.

Temperance shows that the person responsible was seeking to find balance and middle ground.

But the Two of Pentacles shows that everything was off balance, and it shows someone who was making poor decisions. A lot of times there is a money or material element to the decision-making, but not always. There is also this sense of not having a contingency plan when it seemed that everything (life?) was not going as hoped.

The Four of Pentacles reversed is another card that is suggesting there were financial issues or hardships going on here. It might also depict the person responsible, intentionally or unintentionally, as giving things away or getting rid of people and things in their life.

The Six of Swords is a person seeking calm after a storm or conflict. It can indicate running away from problems or traveling to put distance between a person and whatever issues they are facing.

Something was holding this person back from taking whatever action they needed to take to begin fixing their problems. The Eight of Cups reversed usually represents a person that is having trouble letting go of something or someone. It can be as simple as a person that knows they need to overcome addiction issues but is not doing so successfully. It can also be indicative of a person pretending they are happy and pretending everything is okay, when in reality they are struggling a lot. Such a person likely has a fear of being abandoned and if something were to happen that made them feel that fear was realized, it could cause them to have a breakdown of sorts.

The Ten of Pentacles can go one of two ways. In some cases, it indicates a situation where someone gets a lot of money or items of material value – such as an inheritance. In other cases, it refers to disputes over money. There is often an emphasis on these disputes being related to family in some way, but it can also refer to relationships or marriages.

The Nine of Cups reversed shows that this person’s hopes and dreams were shattered for some reason. Something was going on that was making them miserable. Sometimes addictions and eating disorders are linked to this card in the reversed position. It’s a rough one to get.

The Eight of Wands reversed is a lack of action or occurrence. It can also indicate losing control or acting impulsively – sometimes merely out of panic.

Okay, so if we read them (and remember, this is just a reading and it’s not remotely proof of anything that may or may not have happened) as though they are referring to Merna then we are possibly looking at a situation where someone is behaving in an uncharacteristic or rebellious way (Hierophant reversed), possibly triggered by emotional and/or financial matters related to family (Two of Pentacles reversed; 10 of Pentacles). She struggled with letting something or someone go (Four of Pentacles reversed). She was not successful in accomplishing this (Eight of Cups reversed). She had a conflict over money or material matters – likely involving family (Ten of Pentacles) that could have been new or something older that was brought back to the forefront. Her hopes and dreams were shattered (Nine of Cups reversed). And then we know that something happened to her that ended her life.

If we read them as though someone else caused her death, then we are looking at someone who acted in a way that they normally don’t. The triggers would have been the same as what I described before. The person attempted to rid Merna from their life (Four of Pentacles reversed), or at least tried to and was not successful (Eight of Cups reversed). The person attempted to make peace with Merna and find some kind of middle ground (Temperance) and were seeking some kind of end to the conflict or struggle (Six of Swords). There’s either a new dispute or fight over money or material matters, or an old one is renewed (Ten of Pentacles) and the situation ends in a nightmarish way – with a main person involved who is left struggling with it all (Nine of Cups). The Eight of Wands reversed would likely be this person reacting impulsively and losing control, thus intentionally or unintentionally causing Merna’s death.

How she died would probably clarify the perspective issue and I don’t know the determined cause.
