Summary:

Khayman Welch was last described as saying he was taking a short walk on August 12th of 2020, in the Superstition Mountains. He was 25-years-old at the time of his disappearance.

Question: What circumstances caused Khayman’s disappearance?

Reading

The Page of Swords reversed can represent bad news that is usually delivered quickly (in person, text, etc.) and/or a situation where someone is not thinking clearly or is having destructive thoughts. There is a sense of paranoia that can be associated with this card, as well as defensiveness. The Three of Pentacles reversed was pulled in relation to the Page card and it’s showing a situation characterized by poor collaboration – typically in a home or work environment, but not always. The card can point to a lack of motivation, someone who isn’t producing quality work, or someone who is making mistakes and not learning from them.

Since the reading is on Khayman, the Six of Wands reversed almost certainly pertains to him and how he was feeling around the time of his disappearance. It shows a person who feels like they are a failure and who is deeply disappointed. There can be a sense of feeling like a person is being set up to fail or is being targeted in some negative way. But given the first couple of cards, these feelings might not represent what was happening in actuality and might truly more reflect how Khayman was feeling (his thought process).

The Emperor is coming up as a kind of father figure or person who felt protective toward Khayman. This would have been someone who had an air of authority, was practical, and someone who can be counted on to do their part. It is in the upright position and so it isn’t reading like a negative influence or person that was seeking to harm Khayman. It’s more like a person who could see that things were not going well for him and was trying to provide support. That’s the appearance of it, at least, and I’m not seeing other cards that call that into question.

The Six of Cups shows me that the past was influencing Khayman and his situation a lot. He might have been thinking a lot about his childhood or things that happened in his life over the years.

Death reversed is a period of stagnation and can also represent depression. It can come up when a person knows that they need to make changes in their life, but for whatever reason are struggling to do that. This is another card pointing to a person not learning the lessons they are supposed to learn, and it can also suggest an impending inevitable end to something.

The Knight of Wands reversed is the energy of a younger adult male who can come across as rebellious, reckless, overly confident, and lacking in self-discipline at times. It’s also someone prone to making hasty decisions – acting before thinking things out. I don’t know if this is meant to represent Khayman or someone else in the picture at the time he disappeared. However, the Six of Pentacles reversed is showing a power dynamic between at least two people that was not balanced. If the Knight represents Khayman, it is like someone was trying to help him or offering him help that either had strings attached or that Khayman perceived as such. Or it could be an abuse of help or charity, on the part of the person receiving it.

The King of Cups represents an older mature male energy. This is a person who comes across as sympathetic, compassionate, and helpful. The Two of Cups is coming up as a partnership or relationship card where there was a sense of mutual respect and harmony. It can refer to any type of relationship – friendship, romantic, etc.

The Seven of Wands is a card that usually depicts defensiveness. It’s like when a person gets accused of something, or thinks they are being accused of something, and they try to stand up for themselves.

The Queen of Wands reversed is a card that depicts a feminine type of adult female energy – or someone that comes across that way. In it’s reversed position, it’s someone acting in a pushy or demanding way. The Magician is linked to this card and is someone who is very intelligent, skilled at whatever it is they do, and is resourceful. Sometimes it indicates a person with psychic powers or abilities that are somewhat scare or outside of the norm.

The Seven of Wands is situated between the King card and the Queen and so there is a possibility that the defensiveness or feelings associated with that card in particular have to do with one or both of these other people.

Question: Who or what caused Khayman’s disappearance?

Row 1
7 of Swords (r) – The World (r) – King of Swords (r)
Card pulled for the King of Swords (r): Justice

Row 2
6 of Swords – Hierophant (r) – 3 of Cups

Row 3
5 of Wands (r) – Hermit (r) – 3 of Pentacles (r)

Reading:

When reading the cards, it’s important to consider them from two different perspectives in relation to the question of “who or what.” On one hand, they might all represent Khayman – particularly if he is the primary cause of his own disappearance for reasons intended or unintended. On the other hand, if someone else was involved in his disappearance then they are more likely referring to that person (or people).

The Seven of Swords reversed is showing a person who either got caught doing something they shouldn’t have been doing or were about to. It can refer to someone admitting to something they did as well.

The World reversed depicts a lack of success, feeling like a burden or disappointment, and the potential imposition of an unwanted beginning. So it’s like something specific might have happened that was a catalyst for all this.

The King of Swords reversed is someone who tells self-serving stories, manipulates situations and facts, and can come across as overly opinionated or biased. It’s often someone who comes across with an adult masculine type of energy. Now what is interesting here is that the Justice card is directly connected to this person. This card can come up in reference to lawsuits, karmic justice, and other types of cause-and-effect consequences.

The Six of Swords depicts a calmer situation that typically follows a pretty significant time of conflict or problems. It can refer to someone who is running away from their problems because they are seeking relief from them. In some contexts, it indicates travel.

The Hierophant reversed can represent bad advice that was given, someone who is unconventional and rebellious, and a desire for freedom from conventions.

The Three of Cups is usually a card signifying social gatherings, parties, happy times, etc. I don’t know if there was a belief or perception that normal life expectations or conventions were blocking Khayman from achieving a sense of happiness or what. It could be that Khayman had these supports around him, but he was unable or unwilling to acknowledge them. I’m really not sure with this one.

The Five of Wands reversed is someone who feels like they are fatigued from battle, is ready to try to find a solution or compromise and is seeking a resolution to a conflict.

The Hermit reversed depicts someone who is behaving reclusively, withdrawing from others, feeling as though they have been rejected, and someone who sees themselves as an outsider. This is someone who feels really alone and isolated, for whatever reason. It can sometimes show a person who self-isolates and goes off on their own, which is what we are basically told Khayman did when he walked away from the rest stop area where he and his uncle are said to have parked.

And the reading ends with the Three of Pentacles reversed making its second appearance. Again, this depicts a situation where there is poor collaboration, a person not learning from past mistakes, a lack of determination, and the absence of motivation.

These readings come across as a situation where Khayman was experiencing significant emotional and mental conflict/confusion. I don’t see cards indicating he was physically attacked or murdered. It really reads like his mental state contributed to a situation where he put himself in danger by going off on his own. I don’t know if he planned to disappear for good or not, but his lack of motivation and willingness to put in the hard work – for himself – might have contributed to his ultimate fate. When I say he lacked motivation, I’m not saying he didn’t want his life to get better or anything like that. I’m saying that whatever was going on with him was powerful enough to act as an unwavering obstacle to that. It’s a really sad situation. There was such a sense of palpable despair and disappointment that accompanied both readings.

Michael Kitchener

Disappearance: 10/22/2021
Location: Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Summary:

Michael Kitchener was 21-years-old when he disappeared. He was last seen on October 22nd of 2021, running on Highway 16, at about 5:30pm.

Question: What circumstances caused Michael’s disappearance?

Row 1
Lovers (r) – Page of Pentacles (r) – Justice
Card pulled for the Page of Pentacles (r): The Star

Row 2
8 of Cups – 3 of Swords – The Fool (r)

Row 3
4 of Pentacles (r) – Death – Strength

Reading

The Lovers reversed is the first card of the reading. It’s a card that can indicate a relationship that has gone bad, or is unhealthy, or a poor decision that someone has made. Sometimes it can mean both. It can indicate a need for accountability.

The Page of Pentacles reversed could be bad news that Michael received. The Star, in connection with the Page card, suggests that the news was bad enough to crush a hope or dream that Michael had at the time he received it.

Justice is a consequences card and one that denotes cause and effect. It is almost like whatever happened to kick off this reading with the Lovers reversed set in motion all of the events thereafter, and that they were a result.

The Eight of Cups is about walking away or letting go of something. It’s usually associated with feelings of disappointment, but not always.

The Three of Swords suggests some kind of heartbreak situation that occurred around this time. That could potentially tie in with the Lovers reversed in that a problem in a current (as of the time this all happened) or past relationship contributed to a poor decision.

The Fool reversed is reiterating that one or more poor decisions were made because it is a card of recklessness, impulsivity, and carelessness. It can also depict someone who takes unnecessary risks or is naïve about a situation or problem.

The Four of Pentacles reversed can come up if someone has experienced a financial loss or if they are trying to rid themselves of people or possessions. It can represent generosity, but there’s usually a purpose behind any giving that occurs in reference to this card.

Death is a complicated card because it can mean a major upheaval or transition in a person’s life. It can sometimes mean actual physical death. It can also refer to new beginnings or situations that seem to work out unfavorably but are really a blessing in disguise.

The last card is Strength which refers to drawing upon inner strength, having the courage of a person’s convictions, showing determination, etc. Given that Michael seems to have completely disappeared, I am not even sure what to make of this card and its placement at the end of this reading. The next reading might yield more insight though.

Question: Who or what caused Michael’s disappearance?

Row 1
8 of Swords – 9 of Swords (r) – Queen of Wands (r)
Card pulled for the Queen of Wands (r): Death

Row 2
2 of Cups (r) – Queen of Swords – The World
Card pulled for the Queen of Swords: Justice (r)

Row 3
Tower (r) – 10 of Swords – 10 of Wands

Reading:

Well, before I begin to break this reading down, I want to reiterate that it’s a tarot reading, and it can absolutely be wrong, or I can misinterpret cards. I’m putting that out there because the cards in this reading are concerning and they aren’t especially hopeful.

The first card is depicting a situation where someone felt trapped, victimized, and helpless. The Nine of Swords reversed can be a coping card or a situation where someone tries to accept help.

The Queen of Wands reversed comes across as a female energy, and an adult person. Death – a card that we already saw in the last reading – is back. In this case, the Queen is the primary cause of whatever situation or upheaval the Death card is depicting. Someone with attributes consistent with the Queen of Wands in the reversed position is pushy, demanding, angry, manipulative, spiteful, etc.

The Two of Cups reversed is again pointing to there being some kind of relationship issue or trigger. Most often, it represents unhappy couples or those that are breaking up – or have already done so. It can also be a card pertaining to the loss of a friendship though. Was Michael having arguments with someone in particular? I don’t know how that situation relates to all of this exactly, but the cards seem to imply a link or connection.

The Queen of Swords is appearing as a potentially female adult person who is good with words and makes decisions according to rational thought, versus emotion. Justice was present in the first reading regarding the circumstances surrounding Michael’s disappearance, but this time it comes up in a reversed position in connection with the Queen of Swords card. In the reversed position, it suggests a lack of accountability – like whoever was involved in all this or responsible for it, whether it was intended or an accident or indirect, hasn’t been held responsible. There is a lot of dishonesty surrounding all of this and Justice reversed communicates that as well.

The World shows something that has come full circle. In a good reading, it can mean an outcome was completely successful. However, in the context of a person’s disappearance, it can take on a more ominous meaning in that I have seen it come up in readings where the person was ultimately found deceased. I’m not saying that is the case here, but if the cards are remotely accurate then it’s concerning.

The Tower reversed is like a crisis that is either averted or is looming. If someone other than Michael caused his disappearance then it could be depicting them in this place of limbo – where they haven’t been caught or held accountable, but they know it could be coming.

The Ten of Swords is a card where a person hits rock bottom. It can indicate an emotional or physical attack. It usually involves a betrayal or a sincere belief that one has occurred.

The Ten of Wands is indicating that if Michael did not disappear accidentally or by his own hand, then the person that knows what happened feels like they are carrying the entire burden of the situation. This would feel like a constant and uphill struggle to them.

This is all a really strange situation. It feels like something really bad happened here, but I don’t understand the full nature of it or what specifically caused it. I wish I had something more definitive. Some of this might make a lot more sense if I had any background information on Michael or the circumstances surrounding the time he went missing. I just don’t.

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Summary:

Logan Losurdo was 20 years old when he was last seen on November 26th of 2021. His body was recovered on March 10th of 2022, near Soldier’s Beach, Norah Head. Logan is described as being from Magenta on the New South Wales Central Coast.

Ace of Pentacles – 7 of Wands (r) – 2 of Cups (r)

Reading

This initial reading on the circumstances surrounding Logan’s disappearance, and subsequent death, shows a lot of different things going on. I’ve talked before about how the readings will touch on all of these people, events, and influences that were around a person when they disappeared or died. While that can shed a lot of light on the situation, it can also create confusion when some of those are not directly related to it all. So it’s important to keep that in mind when going through everything here. And again, it’s just a tarot reading.

The first card is the Queen of Pentacles reversed. When a person is represented by this card in its reversed position, all of the negative attributes are highlighted. Minimally, people depicted by this card are manipulative and have a mean streak. However, some are actual sociopaths and so there is a spectrum there. Such a person could be a motherly figure in that they may have one or more children. The Ace of Wands reversed is showing that there was some kind of bad news that came up with regard to this person. Maybe Logan had some kind of plans that were delayed or derailed by this person. I don’t know. It’s not the only card that has an underlying meaning that could pertain to travel plans.

The next card is the King of Swords. The cards pulled in connection with it include the Queen of Swords reversed, the Page of Pentacles reversed, and the World reversed. The person depicted by the King card has positive attributed. This would be someone who is articulate, has goals, achieves their goals, and is considered an expert in whatever it is they do for work. The card might represent Logan. The Queen of Swords reversed is someone directly connected to the person in the King position. This is a person who is a poor communicator, and it can sometimes represent an absent or neglectful mother. The Page of Pentacles reversed may represent some bad news that Logan received – probably from or about the person in the Queen position. It could have been related to money or living arrangements or anything else that is material in nature. Finally, the World reversed is showing an incomplete situation in which success was not achieved. So I don’t know if Logan had a plan or desire to do something specific, but the means to accomplish it fell through, or if there is some other explanation to all that.

The King of Pentacles reversed is striking me as a father figure who would be – or have been – distinguishable by specific attributes associated with their personality. This is a card with masculine energy. When it represents a person, it is someone who can be greedy, selfish, corrupt, a failure in terms of business endeavors, etc. The Six of Cups was pulled in reference to this person, and it can represent a person’s childhood, childhood memories, family, issues experienced in childhood, and other similar types of themes.

The Knight of Pentacles reversed, when depicting a person, is someone with male energy who is likely younger than the people in the Queen and King positions – or at least, it is someone who is operating at the emotional level of a young adult. This is a person who is irresponsible, unstable, focused on money, and prone to breaking promises. The Five of Wands reversed is the card pulled with the Knight and it is a solution card or one that represents the end of a struggle. It is possible that Logan was having an issue with someone, and it was resolved by some means – or was thought to be resolved – or what this is pointing to specifically.

The Three of Wands is another card that makes me think that Logan might have had some kind of plan to go somewhere or travel. Sometimes, it is a card that just refers to a person who is planning ahead and seeking to live their life to the fullest in terms of going after their goals or enjoying the results of their hard work. But the first two cards suggest that there was some kind of plan that was either canceled or delayed.

The Emperor would be a father figure type of person that was either in Logan’s life at the time, or who he came in contact with around the time that he disappeared (and was later found deceased). Typically, this is a male person who is protective, authoritative, and dependable. Minimally, they come across that way at least, and they are viewed as having some kind of influence or power.

The Ace of Pentacles is suggesting that there might have been some kind of new job opportunity, or a goal or finding a new job, at the time that this all happened. I don’t know what Logan did for work, but perhaps he was thinking of starting his own business? I’m not sure. Maybe that is tied in with whatever other plans he seemed to have, or maybe he just came across a potential job opportunity or chance to make money.

The Seven of Wands reversed is a card of defeat. It can come up when someone gets completely burned out, gives in to the wishes of others – even if it is to their own detriment, or just surrenders to their circumstances. So I would say that regardless of what actually happened to Logan, and caused his death, he had a lot on his mind at the time and there were a lot of human influences.

The final card is the Two of Cups reversed. This is usually a breakup card or one that can signify a divorce. It is basically a relationship that has gone wrong that a person was emotionally invested in. If the relationship is still going when this card appears, then it points to arguments, conflict, and disharmony within it.

Question: Who or what caused Logan’s death?

Row 1
8 of Cups – Page of Wands – Emperor
Card pulled for the Page of Wands: Hierophant (r)

Row 2
3 of Swords – 9 of Cups – 6 of Cups

Row 3
Temperance – 3 of Cups (r) – 2 of Pentacles

Reading:

The Eight of Cups signifies a person who reaches their limit with something or someone and realizes that they should walk away. That doesn’t mean they actually do it, but it’s a card showing that a person has come to the point where they know something, or someone, is no longer serving them in a positive way (if they ever were in the first place).

The Page of Wands may indicate a young person – such as a child – or a message. It is typically a positive card. But what is odd is that the card pulled in connection with it is the Hierophant reversed. Was there a breakup of a relationship, or a divorce, which involved a child? I can’t really make sense of this combination, but it feels like there is possibly a child connected to a bad relationship or a relationship that didn’t work out. However, Logan was only 20 years old so I’m not sure what to do with those cards because I have no background information on him.

The Emperor appeared in this reading again. It has the same meaning as before. There was some kind of older, probably male, influence that was in Logan’s life – or came into it right around the time of his disappearance and death – that plays a role in all this. Not in that they did anything wrong; just that they have come up twice and so their existence or actions are important somehow to this whole story.

The Three of Swords is a heartbreak card. There are so many cards in this reading that are pointing to emotional distress over relationships. I do think that there is or was a romantic type of relationship influence in all of this because of the last card in the first reading, and this card that goes a step further and almost suggests a kind of betrayal or deception. Now this could simply be something that was on his mind and contributed to his emotional state when all this happened. It doesn’t mean that a partner, or a former partner, was responsible for his death. For instance, in a suicide (I am just using this as an example; I don’t know what the cause of death was for Logan), there are factors that impact how a person is feeling at a given time and they can either help or hinder a person’s mental state.

Nine of Cups is a card of achievement and prosperity. But it’s placement between the Three of Swords and the Six of Cups (that card is back again) suggests to me that those outer cards were blocking what the Nine of Cups had to offer in Logan’s life – or acting as obstacles to it, for lack of a better way of describing it. The Six of Cups makes me think there were unresolved childhood memories or issues that were coloring a lot of Logan’s life and possibly holding him back in some ways.

Temperance is a card of wanting to find peace and balance. It can also apply to relationships – including romantic ones – where a person wants to find solutions or reach a point of calm.

The Three of Cups reversed…Did he have something planned like a wedding or some kind of event that was canceled or broken off? Maybe a celebration of some kind? It can point to issues such as cheating and miscarriages too.

The Two of Pentacles is about trying to find balance and trying to juggle a lot of different matters in one’s life – typically financial or material in nature.

So this reading does not present a specific person in terms of pointing to them as a singular and direct influence. It also ends with an air of uncertainty – as though there were these efforts and actions to find balance and fix problems in Logan’s life, but then he was found deceased. I don’t have enough information to decipher if his death was intentional on anyone’s part – including his own. I simply can’t tell. I can only say he had a lot more going on than people on the outside, who didn’t really know him well, would have imagined. I don’t think he had the easiest life.

Paul Hunsinger

Date of death: 10/29/2018
Location: Pennsylvania

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Summary:

Paul M. Hunsinger was found deceased on October 29th of 2018. I don’t know the circumstances surrounding his death.

Question: What circumstances caused Paul’s death?

Row 1
Queen of Cups – Page of Cups – King of Pentacles (r)
Card pulled for the Queen of Cups: Tower
Card pulled for the Page of Cups: Page of Swords (r)
Card pulled for the Page of Swords (r): 6 of Cups (r)

Row 2
Moon (r) – Queen of Pentacles – The World (r)
Card pulled for the Queen of Pentacles: The Devil (r)

Row 3
Hierophant (r) – Judgement (r) – Hanged Man (r)

Reading

There is a lot going on here. What is going to be somewhat difficult is determining what people, influences, and events truly pertain directly to Paul’s death. Keep in mind that it is possible for all of these surrounding influences and energies to present in a reading – even in cases where a death is not clear cut, is accidental, etc. I haven’t gotten to the who or what part of Paul’s death yet and so I don’t have a strong feel for that aspect yet.

The Queen of Cups is a female energy that was in Paul’s life. It’s not presenting as a negative influence necessarily, but the Tower tells me that there was some kind of shocking revelation or event that occurred to or because of this person. Whatever that was seems to be coloring the reading as a whole. The Queen card is a person who can be emotional and sensitive – for better or worse. It is usually someone highly intuitive and who is more likely to act on emotion.

The Page of Cups could be a message, or a person related to some kind of positive situation or event. It could have to do with a marriage, pregnancy, relationship, etc. But the Page of Swords reversed, pulled in reference to the Page of Cups, is showing there was some kind of bad news about whatever the first card represented. The Six of Cups reversed was pulled in connection with these cards as well. It usually points to issues relating to a person’s childhood – issues that have come to the forefront or that a person is trying to address. Sometimes it just represents someone who is stuck in the past though, for whatever reason.

The King of Pentacles reversed is coming across as a negative influence or person. If it’s a person, it is probably an adult male. This is a person who has experienced a lot of failure, might potentially be corrupt, is cold on an emotional level, and focuses too much on money or material things. It can also point to someone who is unfaithful in a relationship.

The Seven of Cups was pulled in connection with the King card, and this shows someone that might be reluctant to face reality. It can show a situation where there are many different options available, but the person responsible for choosing one of those options is not necessarily seeing everything clearly or as it is in reality.

The Moon reversed represents the unveiling of secrets and so I think, when you consider the first two cards, it is possible that Paul found out the truth about something. The Moon can sometimes indicate infidelity and so that is a possibility, though the nature of whatever was revealed is not clear at this time.

The Queen of Pentacles is a female type of energy, or a person, which is generally business minded or has the ability to provide for themselves. When this card represents a person, it is usually someone with a lot of positive attributes. But the Devil reversed – which is the card connected to this one – suggests there was some kind of situation going on with this person. I don’t know if they overcame an addiction, were trying to overcome an addiction, or what that card might represent. It can be a card of freedom and revelation as well.

The World reversed is signifying a situation where there is a lack of success and/or a lack of completion. It can indicate something disappointing or a burden that someone is dealing with.

The Heirophant reversed could represent a troubled marriage, a divorce, or someone who is rebellious and unconventional. Judgement reversed is a person that doesn’t learn from their mistakes or past, can be malicious, places blame on others unfairly, and has a lot of regrets.

The reading ends with the Hanged Man reversed. This card is a difficult one to interpret here. It comes up in a lot of different situations, such as ones where a person is having health issues or ones where someone is extremely psychologically distressed. Sometimes it represents suicide, but there are too many meanings associated with this card to event speculate on this aspect. Hopefully the second reading will shed more light on these matters.

Question: Who or what caused Paul’s death?

Row 1
Chariot – 10 of Swords (r) – 8 of Cups (r)

Row 2
Knight of Swords (r) – Page of Cups – Temperance
Card pulled for the Knight of Swords (r): Hierophant (r)
Card pulled for the Page of Cups: 6 of Pentacles (r)

Row 3
10 of Cups (r) – 6 of Wands (r) – 8 of Pentacles (r)

Reading:

There are going to be several different perspectives a person can take when interpreting these cards. The first is to consider that if Paul died due to reasons that were not directly caused by another person, then the cards largely pertain directly to him. The second is that the cards represent someone other than Paul. This reading never makes it clear to me which one is the most likely and so my hope is that something in all of this resonates with someone who knew Paul and his circumstances because it might shed light on the entire situation.

The Chariot is a card that typically indicates movement and travel. It can also be a victory card or one indicating that someone is in the process of overcoming obstacles, or that they already have.

The 10 of Swords reversed is often about rising above problems or people that are creating problems. It’s usually more of a card reflecting what is going on in someone’s thinking or psyche then it is one representing specific events. So it’s making me think that Paul was dealing with difficulties from his past and trying to rise above them.

The Eight of Cups reversed is card that can show someone who is afraid of being abandoned or left behind. It can also be a person who should leave a person or problem behind but can’t quite bring themselves to do it and so they basically accept their situation and try to come to terms with it.

The Knight of Swords reversed usually represents a male person or energy. A lot of times, this is someone who has a hard time communicating with others. Sometimes this is because they have a speech impediment, but other times it is just an overall inability to express themselves properly. People represented by this card often engage in aggressive behavior, may behave like a bully, and could have a criminal record. If they don’t have a criminal record, then it is probably only because they weren’t caught doing whatever they’ve done.

The Hierophant reversed has appeared in both readings and so there is definitely significance to this card. It was pulled in connection with the Knight. It could be indicating there was a failed marriage, poor advice or counsel given, or a situation where someone behaved in a rebellious way.

The Page of Cups can represent a child or a positive message of some kind. Sometimes there is a psychic or intuitive nature to the person or message. It could represent romantic news, a pregnancy, or some other kind of positive news. The card pulled in connection with this one was the Six of Pentacles reversed and that could change the meaning of the Page card a lot. It could indicate that there was some kind of scam going on, an abuse of power, or the giving of gifts with some kind of strings attached.

Temperance is a card where someone is seeking balance and harmony.

The Ten of Cups reversed indicates trouble at home or difficulty in one or more close relationships. If it a card of dysfunction and can indicate a broken home or family situation.

The Six of Wands reversed is someone who wanted positive recognition – potentially to the point of wanting fame or widespread attention – but experienced failure in this regard. It can also indicate a kind of fall from grace for whoever this reading represents.

The Eight of Pentacles reversed is a card that I see when a person is bored with their job or career path or is having a difficult time focusing and doing the kind of quality of work that they are probably capable of doing. It can also represent a workaholic or someone who spends too much time thinking about work or engaging in work activities.

Neither of the readings is giving me a clear answer about what caused Paul’s death. I can’t rule much out. He had a lot going on in his life around the time of his death and that makes it appear like there is something more to all this.

Curtis Thorne

Disappearance: 08/06/2021
Location: Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Summary:

Curtis Thorne was last seen on August 6th of 2021. I don’t have details beyond that about what happened to him or what is thought to have happened to him.

Question: What circumstances caused Curtis’ disappearance?

Row 1
The Lovers – Emperor (r) – Justice (r)

Row 2
Page of Cups (r) – Ace of Pentacles (r) – 4 of Pentacles (r)
Card pulled for the Page of Cups (r): 3 of Wands (r)

Row 3
Magician – Empress – 5 of Cups (r)

Reading

The first card for this reading is the Lovers. This card usually represents one of two things. Either it refers to a romantic relationship/partnership between Curtis and another person, or it is referencing an important decision that Curtis was faced with making.

The Emperor reversed is showing me a person that was involved in his life at the time of his disappearance that comes across as an older male. The age and gender can vary, but I usually get this card when it pertains to a male. In the reversed position, this is someone who abuses their power, is a control freak, and behaves recklessly. It’s just an overall oppressive and negative influence.

Justice reverse tells me that something shady happened. Something unfair or unjust happened in reference to Curtis’ disappearance. It’s reading like a foul play card. Remember, though, that these are just tarot readings. They aren’t intended to be taken as fact. So I’m not saying he is deceased, but I am saying that something bad happened here.

The Page of Cups reversed can represent a message or a kind of messenger. It usually relates to emotional matters or news. In the reversed position, it is a negative message or interaction. It can represent a broken marriage proposal, an obsession, an exploitative situation, etc.

The Three of Wands reversed was pulled for the Page of Cups reversed. It’s looking like the news, or the interaction represented by the Page card might have had something to do with travel or a long-distance type of relationship. In some cases, it can just refer to a sense of being unhappy with the decisions that a person has made. However, it is connected to that Page card and so the meaning is related to that specifically.

Ace of Pentacles reversed is showing me serious money troubles. It’s a card of poor financial control or delays in getting money that was needed or expected. It also indicates a lack of planning that can put a person in a financial bind.

The Four of Pentacles reversed is a card that I see when someone is trying to rid themselves of things or people. It can be a positive card in that it sometimes refers to a person being generous and giving gifts to people. However, it can also be a negative card that refers to financial losses, gambling, or debts.

The last row of cards is a little mystifying in that I’m not sure exactly how they fit in here. The Magician is a card of resourcefulness and skill. Ordinarily, the Empress is a positive card. But I’ve seen it appear to take on an alternate meaning in these types of readings and so I’ll see what the next reading says and then circle back to this. The Five of Cups reversed is a card of letting go. It’s usually linked to emotions or things that hold people back psychologically, such as regret or grief.

Question: Who or what caused Curtis’ disappearance?

Row 1
Strength – 8 of Swords – 4 of Cups (r)

Row 2
6 of Pentacles – 9 of Pentacles – 6 of Cups

Row 3
10 of Cups (r) – The Fool (r) – Knight of Pentacles (r)
Card pulled for the Knight of Pentacles (r): The Magician

Reading:

Strength is usually a card about overcoming difficulties, having the courage of one’s convictions, and gathering inner strength. Sometimes it is a card indicating that there is something going on behind the scenes – someone pulling strings, basically. Either way, it’s a card that comes up when a situation or problem calls for courage or inner strength and this suggests that there was some kind of serious problem that Curtis was faced with that he did want to have the strength to confront.

The Eight of Swords is showing someone who is trapped and feels like they were backed into a corner. Since this reading does not appear to present an actual person until the end of it, it is reading like it pertains to Curtis specifically. It can definitely be a victimization card and/or one that shows a person as being silenced.

The Four of Cups reversed is a card that is all about moving on and seizing opportunities.

The Six of Pentacles is a card that depicts someone who has the ability to give as doing so to someone who is in need. Did someone help Curtis out with money? The first reading indicated the possibility (likelihood) of financial problems and could be hinting at some kind of debt that Curtis owed. I don’t necessarily mean monetary, but that’s among the possibilities.

The Nine of Pentacles is a card that usually represents financial freedom, abundance, and/or independence. If there is another person involved in Curtis’ disappearance somehow, it is reading like they were better off than him financially – at least at the time that all this happened. Because I have the Six of Pentacles showing me someone in a giving position and then next to it is a card that shows someone who has achieved some degree of wealth or financial independence. The first reading, which focused on Curtis, did not present him in this light and so it sounds like this is someone else.

The Six of Cups is kind of like a reminiscing about childhood card. It can be positive memories about childhood or in some cases may refer to matters relating to childhood abuse.

And the above card is important here because the Ten of Cups reversed is showing that there was trouble at home. Now when I say there were problems at home, I don’t necessarily mean within the residence where he lived necessarily. What I’m really trying to say is that I think that someone that was close to Curtis, and knew him on an emotional level, does know what happened here. They know details about how and why he is missing.

The Fool reversed, in the context of this reading, represents carelessness or recklessness. The first reading talked about either a romantic partnership (the Lovers) or an important decision, and this card almost seems to be saying that a choice was made – maybe hastily and without enough thought. I don’t know if Curtis made it or if the person that seems to have knowledge about all of this made it though.

Finally, we have the Knight of Pentacles reversed and the Magician as the card pulled in reference to it. The Knight of Pentacles is a person or energy that typically comes across as masculine and on the younger adult side of things. It is someone who has been irresponsible, possibly disloyal, and/or someone who has made broken promises. But the Magician is a card representing resourcefulness, skill, and willpower. Much of the meaning behind these cards hinges on who is represented by the Knight card. Minimally, the two cards are showing someone who probably used whatever skills or resources they had to cause Curtis’ disappearance.

The financial matters stand out prominently, as does the suggestion that there was someone providing support or material assistance of some kind. If there is someone who can be pinpointed as having done this for Curtis, then the reading seems to point to them having answers about all this. No matter what happened here, there is a person – besides Curtis – who knows. I’m not saying they did something wrong either. I’m just saying they have answers to critical questions here.

Alan Eugene Buckels Sr.

Death: December 18, 2020
Location: Jefferson County, Arkansas

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Summary:

Alan was last seen on December 18th of 2020. His body was found near the Arkansas River – on its banks – on April 30th of 2020.

Question: What circumstances caused Alan’s death?

Row 1

Card pulled for the Page of Wands: 3 of Cups
Card pulled for the Queen of Wands: King of Pentacles (r)
Card pulled for the King of Pentacles (r): High Priestess (r)

Row 2

8 of Swords (r) – Hierophant – Ace of Pentacles (r)

Row 3

4 of Cups (r) – Knight of Cups (r) – Ace of Wands
Card pulled for the Knight of Cups (r): Knight of Pentacles (r)
Card pulled for the Knight of Pentacles (r): 8 of Cups

Reading

A challenge associated with all readings is separating ordinary and non-meaningful (not directly pertaining to what happened) event from true contributing factors. That said, the goal is always to try to isolate instances or occurrences that provide some kind of explanation.

The Page of Wands is often a messenger or a message. If it’s a message, then it is one that comes quickly, and it usually relates to work or love matters. The message was about some kind of event or something happy/positive. Examples include social events, weddings, gatherings, etc. So Alan got positive news about something relating to that.

The Queen of Wands is usually a female (or female energy) with strong and courageous energy. The card can represent a mother or someone who has those qualities. In its upright position it is emphasizing the positive traits associated with this person.

However, the King of Pentacles reversed was pulled in connection to the Queen and this is not a positive card. This usually represents someone who is corrupt, unsuccessful, and shows a pattern of failure. People represented by this card are focused on material matters, even if they are experiencing financial problems (which they usually are in the reversed position), and they can be ruthless.

The High Priestess reversed, pulled in connection with both the King and the Queen, indicates some kind of betrayal and secrets. Sometimes it represents fertility issues. But the positioning is showing that there was some kind of situation between these two people. I don’t know if they were harboring some kind of secret pertaining to Alan or what. Maybe the person in the King position had an issue with Alan that related to the person in the Queen position.

The Ten of Wands is a card that shows Alan in a situation where he felt overwhelmed and perhaps over-burdened. It shows a situation where someone is doing – or at least feels they are – the majority of the heavy lifting when responsibilities or problems should be spread out more evenly. Regardless, it shows Alan as being intent on pushing through whatever it was.

The Eight of Swords reversed is a card that can indicate becoming free of something or standing up to abuse of some kind. It could be verbal, physical, psychological, etc. It suggests Alan might have stood up to someone or pushed back on someone who was causing problems in his life.

The Hierophant is tough to pinpoint here. It can be a card that represents a marriage or some kind of traditional institution along those lines. But it can also represent someone who acts as a mentor or provides some kind of counseling. Alan might have gotten advice from someone regarding his situation. The card is coming up for a reason and perhaps someone closer to all of this can better distinguish its exact meaning here.

Okay there was some kind of financial or material issue associated with whatever happened to Alan. It is as though there was a lack of planning regarding something and there is this sense that greed or insecurity influenced the situation. I’m not saying Alan was greedy or insecure. The card feels disconnected to him and his personality – as though it is referring to an influence or person surrounding him.

An interesting thing that I am getting throughout this reading is that Alan was not someone to just give up on things. I think that he had an underlying sense of optimism and enthusiasm that propelled him through the harder times. I am not sure how else to explain that. But the Four of Cups reversed is another card that is saying to me that he was trying to appreciate the good things in his life. He was trying to focus on the positive aspects or what could potentially become positive if he got through whatever challenges he was facing. So though this is just a tarot reading, and I can never be sure about these things, I do not get the sense he killed himself. I feel like the cards are trying to dispel some kind of beliefs about this.

The Knight of Cups reversed is showing me a person that turned out to be dishonest and was just bad news in general. Sometimes, instead of representing an actual person, it can show a situation where there was unrequited love or some kind of negative feeling matter that is kind of clouding everything.

The Knight of Pentacles reversed can be a person or energy. If it is a person then it is someone who breaks promises, someone who is probably a gambler or terrible with money, and someone who does not finish the things they start.

The Eight of Cups, pulled in relation to the two Knight cards, is showing someone walking away from a situation or abandoning a relationship that has caused distress.

The Ace of Wands is a new beginnings card. I don’t want to push any beliefs or anything like that but since I was told that Alan is deceased, it is likely a card that is communicating to one or more of his loved ones that the journey didn’t end for him and that all of these issues that were presented in the reading are not overshadowing his soul, energy, or existence. I don’t know how else to explain it. It’s like a message from Alan to one or more people in particular that are really struggling with his passing.

Based on the first reading, I cannot say with any certainty whether someone else deliberately caused his death. But I can say there were some shady people in his life that did not have his best interests at heart and the reading was intent on conveying this.

Question: Who or what caused Alan’s death?

Row 1

Justice (r) – Hanged Man (r) – 6 of Swords

Row 2

3 of Cups – 4 of Pentacles (r) – 4 of Cups (r)

Row 3

3 of Pentacles (r) – 5 of Wands – Judgement (r)

Reading:

Well, these cards definitely answer some questions that I have from the first reading. My main question, in my own mind, was whether this was an accidental death or one that someone else caused or contributed to.

Justice reversed is telling me that something shady is connected to all this. There was an injustice here. The card is extremely clear on that, and you will see that combined with some of the other cards, it is telling me someone did something they shouldn’t have done. It doesn’t tell me if the death was an outright murder, but if it wasn’t then I would say that some kind of selfish actions, or significant neglect of duties, was a major contributor.

The Hanged Man reversed can indicate several things. First, I have to put it out there that it can represent a suicide. This is not always the case. If it does indicate that here, then at least one person did something – or multiple things – that directly contributed. I’m not talking about the people who loved him. I’m talking about the person or people who were somehow involved in his life and only cared about themselves.

Alternately, I asked the cards specifically about the who or the what. So the first potential meaning only applies if Alan represents the who in my question. A second possibility is that someone else represents the who and that can take this in a different direction. I’ve seen this card come up for people who have had problems with the law in the past and either have served prison time (or been in jail) or are doing so currently. It’s a card of negative patterns and just basically repeating the same – or similar – mistakes. Never learning and this will be strongly reiterated by the last card in this reading, which is Judgement reversed. We’ll get there.

Six of Swords is a card indicating the calm after a storm. It can indicate resting after a conflict or hard time. It can also refer to travel. So if someone is involved in this somehow, perhaps they traveled shortly thereafter. I’m not sure.

The Three of Cups is back. This would represent some kind of gathering, event, or social situation that either happened or was going to happen. The readings seem to want to emphasize this and so if a person reading this knows what it is referring to, there is some kind of connection there. Maybe the person or people he had problems with attended or was planning to? I don’t know, but whatever this represents specifically, it’s important.

The Four of Pentacles reversed is saying that the person responsible, directly or indirectly, has financial issues. They are either really struggling financially or they hoard the money they do have. If they are lacking financially then I would expect to see someone who spends more than they have, gambles, or just does not have financial stability for whatever reason – it is usually a reason caused by them though.

We had the Four of Cups reversed in the first reading. It has returned for this one as well. It’s a card about seizing an opportunity or becoming motivated to do something to reach a goal.

The Three of Pentacles reversed is showing a situation where there was or is poor collaboration. It can indicate people that have a shared goal or are working on something together (could be work, parenting, etc.) and it is just not going well. It’s not an effective partnership. There are real problems or were around the time of Alan’s passing.

The Five of Wands is a conflict card typically. It can represent anything from a minor argument to something major. It also indicates different purposes or agendas as the source of the conflict. There is a competitive feel to this card at times and so I don’t know if all this pertains to work or a relationship or what. I definitely think that someone who knew Alan well may be able to piece a lot of this together much better than I can.

Judgement reversed shows me someone who didn’t learn from their mistakes or from their past. They don’t want to be held accountable for the wrongs that they do, but they are forgetting that no amount of lying, or misleading can hide truths the universe wants known. There is a backstabbing and gossip element to this card sometimes too – putting the blame on others unfairly or making false accusations. If there is someone who had badmouthed Alan around the time of his death, or even to this day, I would look closely at that person in terms of questioning their motive for doing that.

Kyle Leblanc

Disappearance: 12/31/2020
Location: Saint John in New Brunswick, Canada

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Summary:

Kyle Leblanc was 31 years old when he was last seen on December 31st of 2020. He is said to have lived in Saint John in New Brunswick, Canada.

Question: Who or what caused Kyle’s disappearance?

Row 1
Queen of Cups (reversed) – The Wheel – Emperor (reversed)
Card pulled for the Queen of Cups (r): 8 of Swords (reversed)

Row 2
4 of Cups (reversed) – Hierophant – 8 of Cups

Row 3
10 of Pentacles (reversed) – Page of Wands (reversed) – Strength
Card pulled for the Page of Wands (r): Ace of Cups (reversed)

Reading:

The meaning behind the cards in this first reading is going to depend on whether Kyle disappeared willingly, and on his own, or whether someone else caused it. I’ll provide both breakdowns and then my hope is the second reading will provide a clearer picture of which one is the most likely here.

The first card is the Queen of Cups reversed. The card pulled in connection with it is the Eight of Swords (reversed). Scenario one is that someone caused his disappearance. Scenario two is that he caused his own (either willingly or unintentionally). For scenario one, this combination is showing me a woman who did something to get out of what she perceived to be a bad situation in which she felt trapped. The Queen could refer to either male or female, but the energy is female, and it comes across as an adult. In its reversed position, this is a person who is behaving in ways that emphasize the more negative aspects of this court card. This is someone who – at least at the time this all happened – probably would have come across as very emotional and sensitive to the things people said to or about them, someone who was possibly depressed, and someone who was perceived as emotionally immature.

So either this person, depicted in the first card, caused Kyle’s disappearance, or Kyle disappeared on his own for reasons linking back to this person.

The Wheel shows a change of luck for the person the reading is about – at least in the beginning. If the person depicted by the card caused Kyle’s disappearance, then it is suggesting that individual benefited from it in terms of their luck or situation changing for the better (or at least, that might have been their belief at the time). By contrast, if Kyle was primarily responsible for his disappearance, through his own actions, then it was his luck that appeared to improve for a short time.

The Emperor reversed is a father-type figure. While a person in this position is not necessarily a literal father (in general), it is typically someone in a position of authority or someone who has a degree of power. The reversed position shows someone who is controlling and could embody a range of harsh traits or characteristics. If Kyle’s disappearance was caused by someone else, then it suggests some kind of second person involvement. It doesn’t have to mean they directly contributed to what happened, but minimally they would have known about it early on.

The above card makes less sense if no one else was directly involved in Kyle’s disappearance. It still has the same meaning in terms of the type of person it represents, but it then becomes far less clear what role this person played in all this.

Whoever was involved – someone other than Kyle, or Kyle himself – viewed their escape from the other person as a positive occurrence. Previously they felt trapped and hopeless, but they believed they got out of that situation. That is true in either scenario, but if it pertains to Kyle then I would expect the situation to look a little like this. Kyle had some kind of relationship (doesn’t even have to be a romantic one) with the person depicted by the Queen. It caused him to feel trapped and he wanted to escape. He did escape, or at least put distance between himself and that person, and things looked up for a time. If someone else caused his disappearance than those meaning apply to that person and not Kyle. I know this is confusing, but I haven’t gotten a card that has me leaning in a particular direction yet.

The Hierophant could have a lot of meanings. It is a card of tradition and can at times indicate a marriage. It can also be someone seeking forgiveness for something.

The Eight of Cups is a card that shows a person as walking away from something that is not beneficial to them. It can be a situation that was harmful, or it can just be a person or situation that is no longer serving them for the better.

The Ten of Pentacles shows the person experienced some kind of significant financial hardship or was possibly fighting over money. It can also indicate a divorce. I have no idea what Kyle’s relationships status was when he disappeared so if it pertains directly to him, I don’t know which meaning makes the most sense.

The Page of Wands reversed is often a card depicting delays related to either work or one’s romantic life. The Ace of Cups (reversed) can be pregnancy issues or a canceled celebration. Basically, something happened or was delayed that caused problems. An example (it is just an example) is if two people get engaged and then someone suddenly calls it off or delays it because they don’t want or dare to cancel it outright. The reversed Page is definitely adding a dynamic to this as well, which is impulsiveness and a lack of patience.

Strength is usually a positive card. It shows someone who is drawing on their inner strength to get beyond problems or obstacles. It can sometimes indicate there is someone behind the scenes who is pulling the strings with regard to something. I don’t see that meaning as often as the first one, but I’m just putting it out there.

Question: What circumstances caused Kyle’s disappearance?

Row 1
Devil (reversed) – The World (reversed) – 6 of Swords

Row 2
Page of Pentacles (reversed) – High Priestess (reversed) – 3 of Pentacles
Card pulled for the Page of Pentacles (r): King of Pentacles (reversed)
Card pulled for the King of Pentacles (r): The Fool

Row 3
Page of Swords – Ace of Wands – Temperance
Card pulled for the Page of Wands: 7 of Wands (reversed)

Reading

The first card is the Devil reversed. This can be a card indicating that someone is working toward overcoming an addiction, or a vice of some kind, and attempting to gain control over their life. It’s interesting that both readings started out with a card indicating this type of intent. Now, since I know for sure that Kyle is the direct subject of this reading, it makes sense that it would apply to him.

The World reversed shows an incomplete cycle so it’s coming across like the intent was there, and he may have taken steps toward that goal, but he did not achieve it. In this context, next to the Devil reversed, this is telling me what he wanted to accomplish and it’s saying that he did not fully achieve it.

The Six of Swords comes up when someone has moved past a major upheaval in their life – it can be a single event, or it can be ones that have been ongoing – and they are moving away from it and toward something calmer. It can denote a sense of healing from something or beginning that process at least.

It’s like Kyle was making progress toward something positive and then was stopped from progressing further. The Page of Pentacles reversed can indicate a message or person. If a person, it is usually a younger one or it is someone who is behaving like a child. When it pertains to news, it isn’t good news. It usually relates to finances, material matters, and/or work.

The news was either about, or in reference to, the King of Pentacles (reversed). If a person, this is someone very focused on money and/or material matters. They don’t even have to have money since in the reversed position it could point to a situation where someone is broke, has spent well beyond their means, or gambles. It’s showing a negative financial situation for someone involved that comes across as male energy and an adult. The Fool, pulled in connection with this King card, shows someone as having made a risky – and potentially naïve – decision. They wanted to try something new, and it was a situation with a lot of uncertainty.

The High Priestess reversed is telling me there’s a lot of secrets surrounding whatever the Page, King, and Fool card are presenting. There is also a sense of betrayal and hidden agendas. So what people close to this whole situation see right now is not likely a full representation of what was happening.

The Three of Pentacles is either someone embarking on learning a new trade and/or a collaboration that seemed to be going well at the time. It’s a card that comes up when someone is recognized for having worked hard too sometimes. So did he have some kind of collaboration or work-type thing going that eventually went wrong? All of that factors in, but I’m not sure how since there are multiple possibilities.

The Page of Swords is another card that can indicate messages regarding delays or problems that have come up suddenly. The Seven of Wands shows the person who received it as giving into it. It is coming across as a last straw type of deal where this marked the point in which someone felt they no longer had any control over something.

But the next two cards are interesting because the Ace of Wands is a new beginnings card and it’s coming up in its upright form. Temperance is a card of balance and harmonious relationships. Both cards contrast considerably with many in the other two readings since they are positive and appearing near the end of the reading.

Because I don’t have any information beyond the mere basics (date of disappearance, name, location), it is best for someone who has more to evaluate the first reading to determine what scenario makes sense. No matter what, there is at least one person (probably two) who were involved in these circumstances. Either Kyle caused his own disappearance, anything that may entail, or at least one person (Queen of Cups reversed) was directly involved in it. I wish that I could say with more of a degree of certainty which way this one falls, but I can’t. As always, this is a tarot reading. None of it is to be taken as fact, but I’m hoping some of the information might give someone close to Kyle some ideas on where to look or who might have answers.

Randy Davis

Disappearance: 1/21/2016
Location: Aynor, SC

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. Tarot reading is an art and not a science.

Summary:

Randy Davis disappeared on January 21st of 2016. In May of 2017, he was found deceased in a heavily wooded area near Horse Pen Bay Road.

Question: Who or what caused Randy’s death?

Row 1
Hierophant (reversed) – Magician (reversed) – King of Wands
Card pulled for the King of Wands: The Sun (reversed)

Row 2
7 of Pentacles (reversed) – Devil (reversed) – 9 of Pentacles

Row 3
Judgement – The Emperor (reversed) – Hanged Man (reversed)

Reading:

There is more than one person involved in this and they are all consistent with adult male energy. The Hierophant reversed is showing that the people involved are non-conformists. With the Magician reversed being the second card, I am going to say it is coming across as though these people are involved in some type of trade or industry that goes against the norm. The first thing that comes to mind is drugs, but there are multiple possibilities. The Magician reversed tells me that Randy might have been tricked into going somewhere and/or meeting someone. The Magician reversed is usually a resourceful person who is using their skills and knowledge in negative or harmful way. It also depicts someone who is being deceitful and who basically cons people.

The primary person involved, in terms of who executed whatever happened here is the person in the King of Wands position. It’s upright so this is someone that would probably come across as charismatic or likeable to those they want to make a good impression on. It’s also someone who might lose their temper easily and come across as passionate about things that interest or matter to them. They are also action-oriented so this isn’t someone that says they will do things and doesn’t; they do what they say or threaten they will do. I pulled the Sun reversed in connection with this person, and because I know that Randy was found deceased, I know this card represents his death. It’s telling me that this person did the actual killing. If someone is saying this wasn’t a murder, they are wrong.

There are monetary or financial motives behind all this. The Seven of Pentacles reversed is a card that can point to bad business or financial decisions, as well as delays. It pertains to one or more people involved in Randy’s death because I asked the cards a who or what question. It’s possible he owed someone money and if he did, this would probably not have been a recent debt. It feels like it might have been something already in existence that was kind of hanging over Randy’s head. So if someone who knows him is aware of a specific person, or group of people, that might have felt he owed them then those people are worth looking into.

The Devil reversed is definitely making me feel like this all pertains to drugs or some type of business that is harmful. I think there is at least one person involved in all this who is not who they seem. They hide this really dark side of themselves. Whatever you see on the surface with this person – however bad that might be, this person is actually worse than that.

The Nine of Pentacles is another card that points to a material or financial motive behind all of this. It’s telling me that the person or people involved operate some kind of business. I keep thinking drugs, but it could include any number of illegal activities. It could perhaps involve multiple illegal activities because I am getting the impression from these cards that whatever is going on here is well established. It would be difficult to bring these people down. They have a lot of influence and power – even if they are known as criminals.

Judgement is telling me that even though these people have power, they are fallible. They will answer for this, but I can’t guarantee it will be in a traditional way.

The Emperor reversed is one of the cards that shows me there is at least one person involved in this who has a lot of authority and power. The Emperor is usually a father-type figure and so they are likely someone older. They are controlling, rigid, and tyrannical – that’s the gist of how this person is and how they operate. This is probably the person who set all this in motion, and it’s the person that is probably keeping people from saying too much. This could potentially be someone with law enforcement connections. I am not saying they are law enforcement, or that the connections are immediately local, but there is some kind of influence and/or protection here – for lack of a better word. Some degree of protection against being held criminally responsible.

The Hanged Man reversed is telling me not to expect all of the answers to come quickly or easily with this one. The Emperor reversed is the main reason why this is true. Another thing to consider, and I want to be really clear about this, I would be very careful about trying to get to the bottom of this by going out there and riling these people up. I am always in favor of justice, and believe people should pay for their crimes, but this whole thing feels dangerous.

Question: What circumstances caused Randy’s death?

Row 1
8 of Swords (reversed) – 9 of Cups (reversed) – 3 of Wands (reversed)

Row 2
9 of Wands – 10 of Swords – Knight of Swords
Card pulled for the Knight of Swords: King of Cups
Card pulled for the King of Cups: Queen of Cups
Card pulled for the Queen of Cups: Six of Wands

Row 3
7 of Wands – Temperance (reversed) – Empress (reversed)

Reading

I wanted to delve a little more into the circumstances surrounding Randy’s death. The Eight of Swords reversed is suggesting to me that Randy was trying to get away from something – or someone. Meaning, he either tried to cut ties with them or he took that kind of action and it triggered them. But I see him as trying to become free of them prior to his death.

But the Nine of Cups reversed tells me that his desire for, or attempt to get freedom, caused major issues for him. This is a card associated with deep unhappiness, misery, nightmares, etc. However, it’s a card that also shows someone as wanting to make positive changes after walking a hard road. But there were obstacles.

The Three of Wands reversed is relaying a sense of unhappiness with Randy’s decisions. I think he was experiencing depression and he was trying to get away from his past – and certain people in it. I don’t mean he was trying to run from them by physically disappearing. I just mean that it looks like there was an attempt to – or a hope of – breaking ties.

The Nine of Wands shows me that Randy was really worn down by the circumstances of his life. He was trying to push forward though and get to his objective – which I think was to straighten out aspects of his life. He had an intention there and it was keeping him moving toward his ultimate goal.

The Ten of Swords is about as bad as it can get so these attempts to make changes resulted in his total ruin. I think that whatever he was doing to cut ties, or get away, was being read the wrong way too. I can’t quite pinpoint what that means. It’s like he was looked upon with suspicion when he probably only wanted to go his own way and be done with certain people. That is not how they saw it though and I think they felt he owed them – money, loyalty, something.

The reading is showing me three people. One is probably a younger adult male, or someone who acts like one, and the other two are possibly a couple: King of Cups and Queen of Cups. These people feel that whatever they did was successful – that they accomplished what they intended and that they did it in a way that would keep them from being held accountable. But Judgement is an accountability card, so they are incorrect about that. I don’t see them going through the legal system and so whatever happens with regard to that might be something else entirely.

But it’s important to keep in mind there are multiple people involved in all of this.

The Seven of Wands is where I see Randy as having been accused of doing something he didn’t do. He tried to defend himself. He tried to set the record straight. But no one was having it.

Temperance reversed is telling me a couple of interesting things. The first is that the conflict and problems he was having with at least one – probably more – of these people were probably known to other people. What I mean is, it wasn’t a huge secret that no one knew about. There’s definitely probably talk in the background amongst some of the people who knew him about what really happened here. Second, I could be reading this completely wrong here, but I think he was killed in such a way that it could have been written off as an accident. I don’t know. That’s coming from me and not the cards, so I could very well be wrong there. I just feel that his death was not done in a way that made it clearcut in terms of what it really was.

The Empress reversed could go many ways here. On one hand, it could suggest that Randy knew or lived with one of the people connected to all this. It’s a card that can mean there is trouble stemming from, or connected to, a person’s home life. On the other, it could point to there being a problematic female involved in all this – who might inadvertently give some information away about what happened. Maybe she’s putting misinformation out there also and trying to point people’s attention elsewhere. I’m not entirely sure. The meaning behind this card might make more sense to someone who knew Randy.

So in summary, I think he was murdered. I think it was over something like drugs or money. I think there are some nasty people involved. And I would be really careful about poking around to try to find answers. My advice is to be careful with that.

Summer Moon-Utah Wells

Disappearance: 06/15/2021
Location: Rogersville, Tennessee

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. Tarot reading is an art and not a science.

Summary:

Summer Moon-Utah Wells vanished on June 15th of 2021 in Rogersville, Tennessee. She was reported as missing from her residence, located in the Beech Creek Community, at 6:30pm in the evening. Currently, law enforcement conducted a search of more than 1,000 acres in the area surrounding her home. She has reportedly not been seen since. She was five years old at the time of her disappearance.

Question: Who or what caused Summer’s disappearance?

Row 1
Chariot – King of Swords (reversed) – Devil (reversed)
Card pulled for the King of Swords (r): The Hermit

Row 2
2 of Pentacles (reversed) – Empress – Page of Pentacles (reversed)
Card pulled for the Page of Pentacles (r): The Fool (reversed)

Row 3
3 of Wands – 9 of Pentacles – Knight of Swords (reversed)
Card pulled for the Knight of Swords (r): 2 of Swords

Reading:

The Chariot is a card of travel and movement so right off I get the impression that she was taken away from her home setting. The card can refer to a vehicle or other mode of transportation, but it’s showing this right away in the reading.

Next it is showing me the King of Swords reversed. This is telling me that a man is likely responsible for her disappearance. The King of Swords reversed is someone who can be opinionated and stubborn in the way they view things. They can be biased and lack general objectivity. In the reversed position, this can point to someone who lacks integrity and manipulates facts or information. I pulled the Hermit in connection with this person so it is coming across like this is a person who is known to go off on their own sometimes – to think about things or get away from things.

The Devil reversed is suggesting that at the time of Summer’s disappearance, this person might have been in the process of trying to overcome one or more addictions. Another aspect of this card, in the reversed position, is that it can represent someone with cruel intentions or someone who gets control over situations using psychological manipulation. Most importantly, the Devil reversed usually represents someone who hides their darkness from other people. They have secret fantasies, thoughts, and addictions that the people around them may not see. The person might seem okay on the surface, but there is a dark shadow side to their personality.

The Two of Pentacles reversed is showing that there might have been a financial or material stressor that led up to this. That is not to say that it has anything at all to do with Summer; it is more meant to communicate what was going on in this person’s life as a potential means of identifying them and understanding why they took the action they did.

The Empress is a challenging card in these readings because it does not always seem to hold quite the same meaning as it does in a more traditional type of reading. On it’s face, it represents a female and motherly figure. In its upright position, it typically has positive meaning and implications. The problem is that I get this card consistently in cases where a person was murdered. I’m not saying that it means that Summer is deceased, but for me it is a concerning card to see – in this particular context.

The Page of Pentacles (reversed) refers to bad news or a person who is overly intense. At times, this card refers to people that are into some darker things. For lack of a better way of describing this, it can sometimes point to types of magic or energy that is intended to cause harm. This is not always the case, but that meaning is a possibility and so I’m putting it out there. There is a sense of real darkness in all of this, but it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what it all entails. I pulled the Fool reversed in connection with the Page of Pentacles reversed and that tells me that the person we are dealing with is someone who behaves recklessly. This person takes risks and uses poor judgement to get what they want.

The Three of Wands is both a travel and planning card. It’s showing me that this person feels pretty comfortable in terms of feeling as though they have successfully implemented whatever plan it was that they had. I don’t know if travel refers to this person taking Summer away from her home or if it is suggesting that he left the area at some point after. It is hard to say because I can’t get a clear feel for whether this person was local.

The Nine of Pentacles, in a reading that is coming across to me as a potential abduction situation – or at least one where the person was taken away from their home – usually refers to a secondary location. It basically tells me that this person likely had access to another place or property. Either they lived on their own, or they had a place where they could have taken summer. I got this card in a reading I did for Jayme Closs and Amanda Berry – both of whom were eventually found alive, and who had been kept at a home or property. So if Summer was taken, there is a possibility she was kept for a time. I can’t even rule out the possibility that she still is. Determining for certain whether a person is alive or deceased, via readings like this, is extremely difficult.

Okay, there is potentially someone else directly involved OR a younger male adult who might have suspicions about all of this but either is not voicing them or who is not being heard/taken seriously. I do not know if this is a person related to the man who has already been discussed or if it is someone who knows him. But this person seems to have information that either they are trying to stay in denial about, or that other people are dismissing for some reason. He may have some kind of direct knowledge because the Two of Swords, pulled in connection with his card, is kind of a rock-and-a-hard place card where a person does not really feel they have any good choices to pick from at the moment and so they may not make any at all.

Question: What circumstances caused Summer’s disappearance?

Row 1
Hierophant (reversed) – 5 of Wands (reversed) – 7 of Pentacles

Row 2
Hanged Man (reversed) – The World – Temperance

Row 3
Queen of Swords – The Chariot – The Star
Card pulled for the Queen of Swords: The Magician (reversed)

Reading

The Hierophant reversed is an interesting card to get at the start of a reading like this. It could be as simple as a situation where the main person involved in this was triggered by problems in a marriage, or by a divorce-type situation. However, it can also point to circumstances and/or people that are unconventional. It sometimes comes up where there are odd groups of people involved or cult-type situations. So there’s a few possibilities there.

The Five of Wands reversed is showing the end to a struggle and/or conflict. It is as though something major happened and then it was addressed – either through peaceful means or forceful ones.

The Seven of Pentacles is depicting a situation where one or more people are waiting for the work that they have put into something to pay off. On one hand, it could hint at there being a somewhat longer-term plan involved in all of this. An example would be that if she were abducted, someone might have been kind of stalking her from a distance and waiting until they had an opportune time to act. It could mean something else entirely, but that is what came to my mind.

The Hanged Man reversed shows me someone who makes the same mistakes repeatedly and demonstrates negative patterns of thought and/or behavior. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is someone involved here who has served prison time or been arrested. Sometimes this card comes up when someone commits suicide or is contemplating it. It’s just not typically a positive card. These readings seem overshadowed by this sense that there are serious mental health issues behind all this.

The World shows something coming full circle, but it can also indicate a plan that is implemented successfully. The more I read on this, the more this all feels premeditated.

Temperance is usually about finding balance and harmony. I am not sure what it means here.

The Queen of Swords usually represents an independent kind of adult female who is logical and usually intelligent. The Magician reversed, in connection with this card, either refers to a completely different person associated with the Queen of Swords – or it refers to her. The Magician reversed is someone who is resourceful, but they use their resources and skills in ways that may victimize other people. Such a person might scam people, trick them into doing or saying things that benefit them, etc. It’s a manipulative person and typically a narcissist as well.

The Chariot is again showing travel and movement. I always get this card in readings I do on Summer (I did some in the past, but never posted them online). Because it keeps reappearing, I am taking that to mean it deserves real emphasis. I do think Summer was taken away from her house. I don’t know who took her. I don’t even know for sure who didn’t take her. But I have to wonder if this is trying to stress to me that the person involved is not in her household. I know that’s the popular belief. I’d have to live under a rock not to see some of the things people are saying about the parents. But if I step back, and I put all of that aside, and I tell you what the cards are saying and how my intuition is reading them…this looks like some kind of abduction. Can I rule out one or both parents? No. But are these cards pointing to them? No, they aren’t.

The Star suggests to me that this case will be solved. I don’t know how it will work out in terms of what Summer’s status is now – or will be when the answers are uncovered – but this card is telling me that the answers will come at some point. Maybe the person in the Knight of Swords reversed position will come forth with information. Something will happen.

So based on these readings, I would say that even though there is a ton of focus on the parents, it is worthwhile to entertain other possibilities as well. I really wouldn’t rule anything out here. I think someone likely planned this and there’s more to this than people are seeing.

Jamie Valdez

Disappearance: June of 2020
Location: Booneville, Arkansas

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. Tarot reading is an art and not a science.

Summary:

Jamie Valdez disappeared in June of 2020. Though the exact date of his disappearance is unclear, it has been reported that his vehicle was found abandoned in Sugar Grove, AR on June 17th of 2020. His family, and his wife, have not heard from him since.

Question: Who or what caused Jamie’s disappearance?

Row 1
Empress (reversed) – Knight of Swords – Hierophant (reversed)
Card pulled for the Knight of Swords: 6 of Wands

Row 2
The Moon – Page of Swords (reversed) – 8 of Pentacles
Card pulled for the Page of Swords (r): 9 of Pentacles (reversed)

Row 3
7 of Wands – 5 of Wands – Justice

Reading:

The first thing this reading is conveying to me is that there was trouble in his home life – or home environment. It can sometimes point to a pregnancy issue or an unwanted pregnancy, though this is not always necessarily the case. It can also show someone in a relationship where one person is overbearing. The Empress reversed shows the state of his home life as a prominent issue/contributor.

The Knight of Swords is showing me a person consistent with a younger male adult. It could be an older male, but if it is then it is someone who acts or behaves – on mental and emotional levels – as though they are younger. This is a person who speaks what is on their minds. They come across at times as loud and opinionated. They may show tendencies to speak or act impulsively. It can also be a person who kind of goes against the norm, or against the flow. The Six of Wands shows that this person likely seeks recognition and attention. They might even be someone who gets it – for reasons that are not made clear here.

The Hierophant reversed can go a few ways. Since it is in the first row, combined with the Empress reversed, then the likely meaning pertains to Jamie’s marriage. It can be indicative of problems or a separation – or plans and/or discussion about these kinds of matters. It can also refer to someone who is a nonconformist and goes against tradition. So it does not necessarily pertain to his marriage, but there are other cards in this reading that seem to suggest a higher probability that it does.

The Moon tells me that things with Jamie – and in particular, quite possibly his home life – were not as they seemed. This card comes up in these types of readings when there has been deception concerning the narrative given about what happened or may have happened to someone. It also points to hidden dangers and potential secret enemies. I will probably have a better idea what else this refers to after the second reading.

The Page of Swords reversed is showing me that there was a message sent, or something that was said (or texted, emailed, etc.) that was negative and pertained to Jamie. I don’t know if he received this message or if it was merely about him and it kicked off the circumstances. Because it is reversed, I would expect the intent behind it to be more malicious, vindictive, or intended to cause harm (emotional or otherwise) than I would see if this particular card appeared in its upright position. The Nine of Pentacles reversed, pulled in connection with the Page reversed, is telling me that the message likely pertained to something material or financial in nature. There is also a possibility of a theft or some adverse event.

Because the question is seeking to find out who or what caused Jamie’s disappearance, the Eight of Pentacles could refer to different people. If Jamie disappeared on his own accord, then it refers to him. If one or more people were involved in his disappearance, then it refers to at least one of those people. The card comes up when a person works in a particular trade or has an area of expertise. Sometimes it comes up to communicate that a person has started a new job or has become self-employed in some capacity. I don’t know precisely what this means here, but it might make much more sense to someone who knows more about Jamie and the people in his life.

The Seven of Wands shows a situation where someone is defensive about something. Again, who it pertains to depends on who is involved here. But it is linked to the message or interaction discussed previously and it shows someone as getting upset about it – feeling defensive and potentially as though they are being backed into a corner. In some cases, it can refer to a person as being under attack or being blamed or accused of something.

The Five of Wands shows that there was ongoing conflict between Jamie and whoever else was involved. This reading does not make me feel as though this is a matter of Jamie disappearing on his own. I can’t completely rule that out – because of the nature of these readings and the potential for error – but on an intuitive level that is not how this situation is coming across. So with this card, it is showing me conflict, fighting, and there could be an underlying degree of competitiveness that comes with this card – or clashes of ego.

Justice really gets my attention here because this card suggests that someone has been wronged and that the situation will eventually have a just outcome. Basically, if someone did something to Jamie and hurt him or something that crosses ethical or legal bounds then this card is communicating that the appropriate person or people will be held accountable. I do not have an idea of when or what circumstances will bring that about. I will say there is an air of impulsiveness and reactionary conflict to all this – that I am picking up on – so if something really bad happened here then I highly doubt it was well planned.

Since the Knight of Swords is a person who tends to talk a lot and is opinionated, the odds that they have or will say too much to someone about what has happened are really good. This is the kind of person I would expect to have time work against them in that the more comfortable they become that they will not get in trouble, the more likely they are to start saying things that contradict former statements or that outright provide more details about what really transpired here.

Question: What circumstances caused Jamie’s disappearance?

Row 1
7 of Wands – Death – 4 of Swords (reversed)

Row 2
10 of Wands – 8 of Cups (reversed) – 4 of Wands

Row 3
6 of Wands – 5 of Wands – 4 of Cups

Reading

The Seven of Wands came up before, but in this reading, it refers to the circumstances surrounding Jamie’s disappearance. It still carries the same meaning. Someone was – of felt they were – under attack or blamed for something. It shows someone as being defensive and trying to stand their ground, so to speak. It can also point to someone who is behaving in a way that is territorial. It is not unusual – in missing person’s readings – for a card like this to represent the use of force or an attack.

Death is a card that is often assumed to represent a literal and physical death. However, typically it does not (there are exceptions, and it depends on surrounding cards). In this case, it seems to convey a situation that changed dramatically for some reason. It is as though there was some kind of major upheaval that occurred.

The Four of Swords reversed is showing someone who has been in the process of finding mental strength, and perhaps emerging from some difficult or dark times. My understanding is that Jamie had some addiction problems at one time, but this card supports what has been reported about how that was a part of his past.

The Ten of Wands shows someone who felt overburdened and extremely stressed out. It is someone who felt they were carrying the brunt of the responsibilities and that whatever situation pertains to all of this felt like an uphill battle. But it shows someone as continuing to try to overcome those difficulties and move forward or make progress.

The Eight of Cups reversed is showing me that Jamie was in a situation that he probably knew he should leave or break free from, but for emotional reasons he just couldn’t do it. Another aspect of this card is pretending that a person is happy or in a decent place in their life – when they are really having a difficult time. Some of this stems from a fear of abandonment and a reluctance to move on from something that is known and familiar.

The Four of Wands can represent some kind of gathering or celebration. It can represent teamwork. It can also represent some pride in one’s success or accomplishments. It’s very difficult to say what this refers to specifically here.

The Six of Wands is showing someone as getting positive recognition for something. It is immediately followed by the 5 of Wands, which makes me wonder if this was a trigger or something that might have created a sense of competition between two or more people. The Five of Wands came up in the first reading so it’s evident there was some ongoing conflict going on here. Another aspect of the Five of Wands is that it shows people as having different agendas. People are in conflict because they want different things, or they have different beliefs. It’s indicative of ongoing opposition.

The Four of Cups represents missed opportunities and disillusion. It can convey a sense of apathy or an overall negative viewpoint.

Question: What else do we need to know about Jamie’s disappearance to understand what happened to him?

Row 1
The World – The Fool (reversed) – The Sun (reversed)

Row 2
King of Wands – 6 of Cups (reversed) – 7 of Swords
Card pulled for the King of Wands: Four of Wands

Reading:

The World shows a cycle as being completed. In these readings, there are two main reasons this card comes up. The first is to communicate that the case will be solved – the answers will come. The second is sometimes to show me that a person might not be alive. I really cannot stress enough that I don’t feel confident using these readings to determine if someone is alive or deceased. Once in a while they come across clearly this way, but that is rarely the case.

The Fool reversed shows me someone involved here who acted recklessly and exercised poor judgement. There is a sense of intention with regard to this that points to something that exceeds the seriousness of a person walking away from their life on their own. It can also depict someone who behaves irrationally.

The Sun reversed shows there is some degree of blindness to the truth here. Also, it could be interpreted as the literal opposite of its upright meaning, which is essentially: vitality, positivity, freedom, etc.

The King of Wands and the Four of Wands is throwing me because it can be interpreted in two extremely different ways. So before I get to that, the Six of Cups reversed might show that there are past issues that played a role in all this – perhaps someone was abused as a child, or someone was working on resolving those issues. I’m not sure. But it typically shows someone as progressing beyond those types of problems and trying to move forward.

The Seven of Swords is a person, or people, who has done something bad and gotten away with it. It can be more than one thing, but the main aspect of this card to understand is that the behaviors it conveys are not good ones and may include cheating, stealing, excessive lying, and manipulation. There is a sense of cunning that comes with this card. While I find that people this card is often attached to are on the impulsive side, they tend to have put thought into what they are doing and how they might get away with it. I’m not sure how to explain that better except to say it can be challenging to trip these people up – though possible.

In getting back to the King of Wands…I see there being two possible distinct possibilities. In my mind, one feels a lot more consistent with the overall impressions I got from these readings than the other. I am going to put them both out there with the hope that someone close to Jamie can ascertain which one makes the most sense and is the most consistent with what they personally know about this situation.

The first possibility is one I am not currently buying into. It is that Jamie disappeared on his own because responsibilities or problems got to be too much. There are a lot of cards that I feel contradict this possibility, but it is one I can’t completely discount because of the Four of Wands. Here’s the issue with that card. It has many different meanings, but one of them pertains to reunions and homecomings. So if Jamie disappeared on his own, then this suggests he will return. But that would mean that all of the other cards are merely communicating the contributing factors. This would mean the Seven of Swords would have to represent Jamie and I have to say that does NOT feel consistent with the feelings I have gotten about him throughout all of these readings. He’s not coming across as that kind of person to me. If that is true, and he isn’t that kind of person, then it becomes much easier to completely discount this possibility.

The second possibility is the one that intuitively makes more sense to me, and that is that he disappeared due to a conflict with someone else. The first reading suggests an adult male is involved and the third one does as well. If the adult male is not Jamie, then it is another person. All of this is linked to conflict he was having in his life and oppositional forces that he was up against. That is true, regardless of which possibility proves accurate. The Seven of Swords is one of many cards that has me leaning in favor of this possibility. I think there was one or more fights over something specific and that it may have either gotten out of hand, or someone might have done something they shouldn’t have. If another person is involved, then there is a possibility their identity would be revealed in connection to some kind of celebration (potentially a wedding or something along those lines) – at some point in the future (because of the two appearances of the Four of Wands). The appearance of Justice at the end of the first reading is another reason why this possibility makes much more sense to me.
