Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Paul Sanders disappeared on August 12th of 2001, at the age of 17, in Mesa, Arizona. He was reportedly living with his father at the time of his disappearance. He is still missing and no one appears to have reported seeing him since the date he vanished.

Question: Who or what caused Paul’s disappearance?

Row 1
2 of Pentacles (r) – 5 of Wands (r) – 3 of Cups

Row 2
King of Cups (r) – 7 of Swords – 7 of Wands
Card pulled for King of Cups (r): 9 of Cups (r)

Row 3
9 of Wands – 8 of Pentacles (r) – 6 of Swords

As always, it is important to consider this reading from two different perspectives. The first is that a person caused their own disappearance. The second is that others were involved. There are strong suggestions in this reading, and the next one (I did the one that follows this reading first), that there were at least two other people. Either they were directly involved, or they have specific knowledge about what happened, if the scenario in which Paul caused his own disappearance is true.

The person or people involved were experiencing financial problems. It is as though they were overextended somehow – probably financially – and couldn’t get a handle on it all. It feels as though this person also felt that they had something to lose – like they may have viewed Paul as a threat to them (if Paul did not cause his own disappearance) or an opportunity.

The Five of Wands reversed shows this person – or these people – as wanting to put an end to the conflict or struggle. I have mentioned in other readings that this card can indicate a peaceful conclusion or a violent one. There can also be a sense of competition associated with this card as well.

The Three of Cups could suggest there was some kind of reunion between Paul and one or more other people. It is a card that depicts a happy type of situation on its face, but I can tell you that there is a lot of dishonesty surrounding all of this. I don’t think anyone can or should take events, situations, or people at face value here. Things are not as they may have seemed at the time.

The King of Cups reversed comes across as a person with energy that is consistent with someone who is older and male. That doesn’t mean the person is male, but they are coming across that way to me. The Nine of Cups reversed is a disturbing card to see paired with the King of Cups in its reversed positioning. The card likely points to someone who caused (and perhaps still causes) a lot of destruction and unhappiness. It could also be someone who has had addiction problems (may still have).

The person involved – or the main one at least – is a really dishonest person. The Seven of Swords shows them as deceitful and cunning. This is a person who does some very bad things and were/are used to getting away with a lot of them. Whatever involvement they have in Paul’s disappearance, this person believes they have been clever and resourceful enough to get away with it. This is also a card that can indicate a theft took place.

The Seven of Wands shows this person as having felt cornered or defensive about something involving Paul. I have to say that none of this feels like a situation where Paul orchestrated his own disappearance, or death if that is the case here, himself. Obviously, I could be wrong about that. However, if even half of the cards are accurate then there is one or more other people involved in this entire situation.

What I don’t know – and can’t see very clearly – is whether other people were aware that this person, or people, had a problem with Paul. I also feel there were aspects of this that were not made obvious. Perhaps the passage of time has changed that, and more is known about this aspect to other people that knew Paul.

The last row, which usually gives me insight into what motivated or motivates a person, shows me someone who had some kind of chip on their shoulder. At the time of Paul’s disappearance, this person would likely have been someone with a bad reputation and someone viewed as a failure in many regards. If Paul was not responsible for his own disappearance, then I would say there are enough cards to conclude that someone had a real issue with him. I’m not convinced that they immediately made that known to Paul though. If this scenario is the case, they were extremely deceptive.

Question: What circumstances caused Paul’s disappearance?

Row 1
2 of Wands (r) – 4 of Swords – 2 of Swords (r)

Row 2
7 of Wands (r) – 10 of Cups (r) – 6 of Cups (r)

Row 3
Justice – 5 of Pentacles – King of Cups (r)
Card pulled for King of Cups (r): King of Pentacles (r)
Card pulled for King of Pentacles (r): The Moon

The Two of Wands reversed suggests that Paul was at some kind of crossroads in his life. He could probably see change coming down the line and he may have had some concerns or fears about it. A lot of this was likely fear of the unknown and worries about impending changes.

The Four of Swords usually shows a situation where a person feels overwhelmed emotionally or mentally. If true, Paul may have felt that he needed some time to think and possibly some time away from the challenges in his life so that he could think and regroup.

The Two of Swords reversed continues to suggest that there was a lot going on in Paul’s mind with regard to him having anxiety, fears, and concerns about various aspects of his life. Many of these appear – based on some of the other cards – to pertain to people or family that were known to him. It can also show him as beginning to see some people and/or situations with increased clarity. He may have previously wanted to deny certain truths, or look away from them, but this card suggests he was at a point where he wanted to begin to face them.

The next row of cards is what makes it seem as though the issues weighing heavily on Paul’s mind were relating to family or people close to him in his life. The Seven of Wands reversed shows him feeling as though he lost a sense of power or control over his life. He had a strong sense of responsibility when it came to other people – like he didn’t want to turn to them for help because he was supposed to be the one helping (in his mind). The Ten of Cups reversed suggests disputes or conflict with a person, or people, known to him. It is a card that can point to broken homes or a lack of stability in terms of having a home. The Six of Cups reversed can point to someone who is thinking too much about the past – such as things that may have happened in their childhood or issues that they might have had in the past with people close to them.

The Ten of Cups reversed, combined with the Six of Cups reversed, make me think that there was some kind of abuse situation in his past. The implication is that his circumstances were motivated by these matters. They were on his mind and there may have been a good reason for it. I don’t know if this simply put him in an unusually vulnerable state of mind or if these are directly related to all of this.

The third row consists of Justice and the Five of Pentacles. The first possibility regarding this is that Paul may have had some kind of legal issue hanging over his head. The second is that he was seeking to put something right or get some kind of closure on an issue – in a way that would fall in his favor. In the upright position, it tells me

The Five of Pentacles makes me think he had recently gone through – or was in the midst of experiencing – something significant in his life. To give an example, people that get this card might be impoverished or severely lacking in resources. The unfortunate aspect of this card is that it has much more to do with perspective than reality. It depicts a person who feels as though they have been left out in the cold and have no one to help them; however, this is not always the truth of the situation with this card. Often other people want to help but the person is unable or unwilling to see or accept it. Again, I get this sense that Paul was someone who wanted to take care of other people and not be the person in need of being taken care of. Hard to explain beyond that.

The King of Cups reversed could represent an adult with masculine energy that can react to situations based on emotion. It is someone that may have appeared, or reappeared, in Paul’s life under the guise of offering friendship or help of some kind. There appears to be another person, with similar masculine and adult energy that is linked to this individual. The person connected to them is represented by the King of Pentacles reversed. This usually points to someone who has money issues and is unstable. Sometimes it represents a person that has money but is obsessed with material matters and status. More often than not, it is someone who is very bad with money and material issues though.

The Moon tells me that whatever person, people, or issue that Paul was dealing with was surrounding by lies and deception. A situation and/or person (maybe people) appeared to be something they weren’t. I think that someone may have also been playing on Paul’s vulnerabilities and insecurities too. If the readings are generally accurate, that is.

Question: What do we need to know about Paul’s disappearance?

I pulled the Winter card from the Halloween Oracle deck, as well as the Sea Storm from the Oracle of Shadows and Light. Winter is a card that represents the end of something. It can represent a metaphorical or literal kind of death. The Sea Storm card tells me that whatever drama or problems he faced in his life at the time of his disappearance, he has moved on from them. I’m not saying he’s alive or deceased. I have no way to know that. However, if he is deceased then he is in a better place or situation than he was at the time all this happened.

Question: What do we need to know about the person/people involved in Paul’s disappearance?

I pulled the Skeleton from the Halloween Oracle deck and the Angel of Time from the other one. The person – the primary one at least – comes across in a way that makes them seems stronger than they really are. The person has underlying vulnerabilities, such as their tendency to hold grudges and their refusal to move on from people or matters that make them upset. The Angel of Time is a card that either points to someone who is burned out or overworked, or someone who is experiencing health problems (mental, physical, or a combination).

This person would be known for, and potentially identifiable by, the above qualities and characteristics.

Haley Thomas

Disappearance: 07/25/2021
Location: Houlka, Mississippi

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. Tarot reading is an art and not a science.

Haley Thomas disappeared on July 25th of 2021. She was said to have last been seen before dawn. She was 16 years old when she went missing. She has reportedly not been seen since.

Question: Why did Haley Thomas disappear?

Row 1
Death – Page of Pentacles – 5 of Wands (reversed)
Card pulled for the Page of Pentacles: 7 of Wands

Row 2
9 of Wands – King of Cups (reversed) – 8 of Cups (reversed)
Card pulled for the King of Cups (r): 4 of Wands

Row 3
Hierophant (reversed) – Page of Cups – 10 of Swords
Card pulled for the Page of Cups: Hermit (reversed)

Haley Thomas reading 1

In response to my question regarding why Haley disappeared, the first card I pulled was Death. Death shows me there was something major that happened in her life to trigger these events.

The Page of Pentacles shows me that she may have gotten some kind of news that she perceived as positive. She might have been planning to pursue something – something pertaining to a job, school, somewhere else to live, or something else along those lines. I’m not sure what it was. But the Seven of Wands, in connection to the Page, tells me that for some reason she was put on the defensive. It’s almost reading like she wanted to do something but for whatever reason she felt like she would be under attack, or told she couldn’t do it, if other people knew. Maybe she didn’t even bring it up to anyone because she anticipated that they would not agree with it. It really could go either way.

There might have been a fight or argument about whatever all this pertained to because the Five of Wands reversed is showing the timeframe after the dust settled. It’s a card of compromising or agreeing upon some kind of solution. Sometimes it depicts a person who is worn down from trying to fight for something they want or believe in.

But the Nine of Wands reversed feels like its saying that whatever she had in mind that she wanted to do, she really did not want to compromise or give up on it. She might be someone with a bit of a stubborn side because this card is suggesting she really did not want to compromise on something.

The King of Cups reversed is suggesting there’s a man involved. This is someone who comes across as a friend but has ulterior motives. It’s a person who can also seem emotionally immature. The Four of Wands is the card I pulled in connection with him. The Four of Wands is a card that denotes some kind of celebration, party, or home coming. It’s connected to this individual though and I don’t really know what to make of it. Also, if this was someone Haley knew or was involved with, it would have been someone older than her. It’s coming across as an adult.

The Eight of Cups tells me that it was a situation she knew deep down she should leave behind and walk away from, but she chose not to do that. I don’t know if it was because of a fear of being abandoned by someone or if she was just ignoring signs telling her not to do something or what. This is such a strange reading for me because it’s hard to grasp what was going on here.

The Hierophant reversed could point to a few things. First, it could signify someone who is rebellious and unwilling to conform. Second, it can point to a broken marriage. Third, it could suggest there was a person in her life who was coming across as a mentor or adviser of some kind – someone who was presenting themselves as though they wanted to help her, when really they might not have had good intentions.

The Page of Cups is news or a message. It can be a romantic or marriage proposal. It has something to do with emotional matters of some kind. Sometimes it is a pregnancy or an engagement. Sometimes it comes up if a couple takes a next step and moves in together. Things like that It can also be something less significant, such as an admirer or someone who reveals they have a romantic interest.

Now what’s odd is that the Hermit reversed was pulled in connection with this card. Whatever was going on with the Page of Cups situation, it seems to have caused Haley to want to withdraw and become somewhat reclusive. Perhaps she did not feel this way about whoever else was directly involve in this, but there’s this sense of separation that I’m getting. Almost like to move forward with whatever it is she wanted to do she would have to do it on her own – without the support of people in her life. Was the person depicted by the King of Cups (reversed) asking her to run away to be with him? Is the issue that he is an adult, and she wasn’t?

The Ten of Swords concerns me. This is usually a card of backstabbing and betrayal. It depicts a rock bottom situation for Haley. Now, this is just a tarot reading and it does not tell me her ultimate fate. But I would say that, at a minimum, the situation did not unfold the way Haley thought it would. Something might have gone wrong for her, but I can’t tell for sure what it means in this reading.

Question: Who or what caused the disappearance of Haley Thomas?

Row 1
3 of Swords – 2 of Pentacles (reversed) – 7 of Cups (reversed)

Row 2
The Star (reversed) – Queen of Wands – 8 of Swords (reversed)
Card pulled for the Queen of Wands: 3 of Wands

Row 3
Page of Cups – Temperance – Ace of Wands (reversed)
Card pulled for the Page of Cups: Hermit (reversed)

Haley Thomas 2

The first thing that jumps out at me is that I got the Page of Cups a second time, on the third row, and I got the Hermit reversed in connection with it – just as I did in the first reading. So that is a really big piece of this puzzle. Keep in mind that I don’t have background information on this situation and so I have to try to figure out the right meaning without any real context. These readings always make more sense to people close to the person missing, or knowledgeable about the disappearance in general.

The Three of Swords is showing me a heart break situation. I asked who or what was responsible for her disappearance and so it’s telling me that it has something to do with pain related to some of kind of relationship. It often pertains to romantic ones, but not always. It can be related to a falling out with a close family member or a friend.

The Two of Pentacles reversed is showing that the person involved was trying to balance aspects of their life – particularly ones of a financial and/or material nature.

The Seven of Cups reversed is showing me someone who either had few options in terms of what they could do in their overall situation, or someone who simply felt that way. It’s also a card depicting poor choices and so the limited options were probably connected to bad decisions this person made. Now keep in mind, I don’t know if this reading is referencing a person besides Haley, or if it is referring to her. If someone else is directly involved, it pertains to them. If she left on her own volition, then it could possibly pertain to her.

The Star reversed indicates a situation for the person responsible felt hopeless. Something happened, or was happening, that made the person feel as though they wouldn’t get what they wanted. This doesn’t always mean the situation was all bad; however, it does mean that the person viewed it as such.

The Queen of Wands is typically an adult female – though there are always exceptions. In its upright position it is showing me someone with positive attributes, though they probably have a bit of a hot temper and might be perceived as aggressive sometimes. The Three of Wands shows this person as possibly traveling or moving forward with plans that were made. The person in the Queen’s position was feeling like things were going well.

The Eight of Swords reversed is depicting a person who felt they achieved a sense of freedom or relief. The card usually suggests that a person has had to overcome something significant – or general hardships – to obtain that sense of freedom.

The Page of Cups, and the Hermit reversed, mean something important here. The problem is that they can be interpreted in different ways. It’s like someone proposed something to Haley, but the caveat was that it would require her to withdraw or isolate herself from other people. A scenario that might line up is if she met an adult and they told her she could do live with them, but it would require her to essentially become a recluse for obvious reasons (she’s a minor). If that’s not the scenario then it’s something like that in terms of there being something offered, but this downside of having to live a certain way if she did.

Temperance is a card depicting harmony. It’s a positive card that can point to someone doing things in moderation, gaining perspective, and potentially finding a strong relationship or what they feel is a soul mate.

The Ace of Wands reversed is a card that conveys the receiving of bad news, or the experiencing of delays, with regard to something a person was embarking on. To give an example, if a person became pregnant and was preparing to plan and move ahead with having a baby, this card might point to a difficult pregnancy or a miscarriage. I’m not saying this is what happened here, but it would be a scenario along those lines in terms of there being a new beginning that is delayed or significantly impeded. It could even be something as simple as she experienced a new beginning, by leaving to live with someone else secretly, but it didn’t turn out as well as she hoped. Or it wasn’t at all what she expected.

Question: What else do I need to know about what happened to Haley Thomas?

6 of Wands (reversed) – 8 of Cups (reversed) – 5 of Cups (reversed)

Haley Thomas reading 3

The Six of Wands reversed depicts a situation that resulted in some kind of failure. It usually depicts a person feeling as though they are a disgrace, or that they will be. It’s a card of disappointment.

The Eight of Cups reversed came up in the first reading. This is a situation where someone probably should have walked away from a situation, but they didn’t. Part of the reason why people don’t do that is because they have a fear of being abandoned or alone. Or they fear change so they stay in a situation they shouldn’t.

The Five of Cups (reversed) shows a person letting go of past pain and sorry. If a person has been isolated or keeping to themselves due to depression, or grief over something, it can depict them returning to the world in terms of beginning to reach out to others.

I want to take the last card as a positive one, although the outcome card for the first reading is not a positive one. However, sometimes the Ten of Swords is more a reference to a person’s state of mind than it is to actual events that occur. It’s a tough card to read here. I would really like to figure out exactly what happened to Haley. My hope is that she is okay somehow, and that she will re-emerge at some point, but I simply can’t tell from these readings alone.

Tiffany Reid

Disappearance: 05/17/2004
16 years old at the time of her disappearance
Location: Shiprock, New Mexico – Navajo reservation

Question: Who or what caused the disappearance of Tiffany Reid in 2004?

Row 1
10 of Wands (reversed) – 5 of Cups – 4 of Pentacles

Row 2
3 of Pentacles – Ace of Cups – Star (reversed)

Row 3
3 of Swords (reversed) – 9 of Swords (reversed) – Justice

Tiffany Reid reading 1

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. When/if I say that something happened, in any part of a reading description, I mean that is what I am interpreting from the cards, their positions, and other related factors. Tarot reading is an art and not a science.

Tiffany Reid was 16 years old when she disappeared on May 17th of 2004. That morning, Tiffany left the Navajo reservation where she lived to walk about one mile to her school. She did not return home and is still missing. Two weeks after her disappearance, some of her belongings were found scattered on a dirt road in a town nearby.

I asked the cards to give information about who or what caused Tiffany to disappear. The Ten of Wands reversed usually shows someone who is overwhelmed and potentially on the verge of a breakdown.

The Five of Cups suggests that someone was depressed and mourning over a loss. It can also point to someone who is unstable emotionally.

The Four of Pentacles is someone who is probably stingy with money or possessions. This card can come up when people have past issues that contribute to a hoarding-type mentality. Not everyone represented by this card is a hoarder but there is usually a sense that they are guarding their possessions or controlling about their finances.

The Three of Pentacles has come up in past readings as a collaborative result. It suggests the possibility of two or more people other people involved in Tiffany’s disappearance. Sometimes it represents someone who works as a tradesperson.

The Ace of Cups is showing me a new beginning type of situation. The card can refer to a pregnancy or a plan to get pregnant; however, that is not always the meaning. It is typically a positive card but can also just reflect someone’s hopes – versus their reality. It can pertain to emotional or general types of beginnings as well.

The Star reversed is a card that signifies a loss of hope and a lack of faith pertaining to a person’s situation. This card can represent the person I am asking about – in this case Tiffany. I would not describe this as a card that gives insight into the outcome of a situation when this particular question has been asked. I got it in an after-the-fact reading I did on Jaycee Dugard about halfway through.

The Three of Swords reversed is a card that signifies that a person is getting over an emotionally difficult situation. It might be linked to the Five of Cups that suggests that something was lost that caused grieving. If so, this card might indicate that the person reached – or is reaching – a point where they are beginning to let go and move on. Sometimes, though, it refers to a romantic reconciliation with someone who caused prior heartbreak and so I want to put that possibility out there also – that if someone else is involved, it might be someone she knows or has known in the past.

The Nine of Swords reversed is a light at the end of the tunnel card. I got this card in my after-the-fact reading on Jaycee Dugard and so I hope that it pertains to Tiffany. It can signify someone who is feeling guilt or shame about something.

The last card pertaining to this question was Justice. It is an accountability card, as well as one that pertains to karma, and so it appears to communicate a just outcome associated with whoever is involved. I don’t have an idea of the timeframe involved.

Question: What happened to cause the disappearance of Tiffany Reid in 2004?

Row 1
Judgement (reversed) – 8 of Swords (reversed) – 7 of Wands

Row 2
10 of Cups – Wheel of Fortune – The Emperor (reversed)

Row 3
6 of Cups (reversed) – 8 of Pentacles – 2 of Swords (reversed)

Tiffany Reid reading 2

I know I have said this before in other readings, but I just want to remind anyone reading this that nothing I write here should be taken as fact or absolute unless there is existing evidence supporting it. I have no way to know for sure what happened, or the status of a person in terms of well-being.

Judgement reversed usually refers to someone who doesn’t learn from the past and repeats mistakes or poor choices. It can also point to a lack of awareness on someone’s part – about themselves and other facets of their life.

The Eight of Swords reversed is a card that I have gotten in two kidnapping readings – one done before the person was found (Cleo Smith) and the other conducted after-the-fact (Elizabeth Smart). In those contexts, it referred to people that had been abducted and escaped or gained freedom. It can signify a survivor. It is showing up early in this reading and I don’t know what that means in this particular case and so I am just putting my experience with this card out on the table in case it refers to something positive happening. It is no guarantee of that.

The Seven of Wands may signify a situation where someone stands up for their beliefs or behaves defensively – to real or imagined trouble. It can depict someone who feels territorial or protective of something.

The Ten of Cups is one that is usually positive since it denotes happy home situations. It can refer to marriages, the birth of a child, and things of that general nature. My hope is that this card means there may be a homecoming or reunion, but I have no way to know that. It might mean something else entirely that I am not picking up on here. However, it can also simply mean that another person involved is in the family or has a connection to one or more family members – someone known along the way, basically.

The Wheel of Fortune is often looked upon as a change in someone’s luck. It is often for the better, but it depends on the situation and other factors involved. It usually refers to changes, opportunities, or events that are out of someone’s direct control – the person they impact directly, at least.

The Emperor reversed is a person that I can best describe as a tyrant, a control freak, and rigid in the way they function or operate. Often a person depicted by this card is a male and behaves in ways that are immature. This card came up in an after-the-fact reading on Amanda Berry, in reference to Ariel Castro, so that might help to paint a picture of possible personality traits associated with such a person.

The Six of Cups reversed shows someone who is in a situation where they may need to let go of the past but are struggling to accomplish that. Sometimes people associated with this card have experienced childhood trauma. I have no way to know if this is referring to Tiffany or another person. There seems to at a minimum be an older male involved in all of this, though I don’t have enough information to say what their role might be specifically.

The Eight of Pentacles may represent a new job or a similar type of opportunity. It also pertains to achieving goals and experiencing success.

The Two of Swords reversed is a card that I have seen in cases where the truth has come out or lies have been exposed. I always tend to hope that past meanings will still apply to present or future ones – indicating the possibility that the truth will emerge about what really happened here.

I did not feel this was a particularly clear reading. I can’t completely work out what kind of story the cards are trying to tell. It is just a tarot reading, but I’m hoping that the more positive possibilities discussed might reflect in a future outcome.

Question: How can Tiffany Reid be found?

Judgement (reversed) – 6 of Water – 4 of Fire

Tiffany Reid reading 3

Judgement reversed appeared yet again. It shows someone who has not learned from past mistakes and likely continues to repeat them. It also points to a lack of self-awareness and a need to come to terms with a person’s authentic self or identity.

Six of Water is a card that depicts a happy outcome. I know I’ve said it a hundred times, but this is just a tarot reading. I don’t want to give false hope. I can only hope this card turns out to be positive. A positive outcome is a relative concept because for some people, merely getting answers, understanding what happened to someone, and locating them (for better or worse) counts.

The Four of Fire is a card that depicts the need for harmony and balance. It also suggests the need to work hard, and be strong, to achieve the goal pertaining to this reading. It seems to suggest that answers might not come easily or without effort.

That is unfortunately all I have for this one at this time. Never rely on the cards or these readings as an absolute depiction of what may have happened, who might be involved, etc. These are just tarot readings. If you can back up details with facts and evidence, then that ultimately just speaks to their accuracy (or inaccuracy when they don’t match up). I hope this beautiful woman is located sooner rather than later.
