Disappearance: May 11, 2011
Location: Aurora, Illinois

Summary:

Timmothy Pitzen was six-years-old when he was last seen on May 11th of 2011. His mother, Amy Fry-Pitzen, is said to have taken him on a trip for three days to various water and amusement parks. She was found deceased in a motel room in Rockford, Illinois, and the cause of death was ruled as a suicide. She did not indicate where Timmothy was or what happened to him, except to say that he was safe and in someone’s care.

Question: What circumstances caused Timmothy’s disappearance?

Row 1
The Fool – 7 of Wands – The Hermit (r)

Row 2
Queen of Pentacles – Strength – Knight of Swords
Card pulled for the Queen of Pentacles: 9 of Swords
Card pulled for the Knight of Swords: 6 of Wands

Row 3
8 of Wands (r) – 2 of Swords (r) – 4 of Swords

Reading

The Fool is the first card in the reading and probably represents the trip that Timmothy and his mom took. The card suggests there was spontaneity to those circumstances and that it was not something that was well planned in advance. It could have been planned, just not with a lot of clear or advanced notice.

The Seven of Wands is showing a person who felt under attack and protective (and potentially territorial).

The Hermit reversed shows a person feeling as though they have been cast aside and are not wanted. It’s someone who feels withdrawn and rejected.

The Queen of Pentacles would normally be a positive card in that it usually represents an older feminine type of energy. It is associated with mother or motherly figures who put a lot of time and effort into their home life (and work life if they are career minded). However, the Nine of Swords came up in connection with this person and this shows me someone experiencing a deep depression or a deep sense of unhappiness, anxiety, and overall negativity. It can indicate significant mental health issues.

The Strength card seems to indicate that there was an effort to push through it all and overcome those internal feelings of self-doubt, regret, negativity, etc.

Strength is situated between the Queen and the Knight of Swords, which tells me that whoever falls into the position of the Knight was perceived as the main obstacle preventing the person in the Queen’s position from overcoming what she was going through. The Knight of Swords comes across as a younger adult energy – or younger in terms of their behavior and thought patterns – who was (or still is) good with words and opinionated. This is a person that would tell you how they are feeling about something directly and clearly.

The Six of Wands came up in connection with the Knight of Swords. This card indicates a desire for recognition, attention, praise, and/or support. It’s also a card about winning and that desire that a person might have to achieve victory or gain an advantage.

The Eight of Wands reversed can represent impulsivity and a lack of control. It also indicates bad timing – such as being in the wrong place at the wrong time, or circumstances not going in one’s favor.

The Two of Swords reversed is interesting because it suggests that there was something that came to light that would explain what triggered all of this. It’s a card about lies being exposed and the truth coming out. It’s also representative of emotional turmoil and feelings that have become overwhelming.

The Four of Swords is the card that comes up when someone has experiences complete mental and/or emotional overload and need to find relief or rest from it. In this case, it seems to point to Amy’s suicide and the culmination of emotions that appear to have led up to it.

Question: Who or what caused Timmothy’s disappearance?

Row 1
5 of Cups (r) – Judgement – 2 of Pentacles

Row 2
6 of Cups – 8 of Cups – Strength

Row 3
5 of Swords – Hanged Man – 4 of Cups (r)

Reading:

This doesn’t come across as a situation where there was an outside person that got involved in the circumstances surrounding Timmothy’s disappearance. What I mean by this is that it’s reading like the mom is the who and the what here.

The Five of Cups reversed is a card about overcoming despair and letting go of sorrow.

Judgement can represent a self-evaluation of sorts and the idea of a rebirth or life changing opportunity. It can also be about transformation and starting again. It makes me wonder what Amy’s religious or spiritual beliefs were because there is this sense that she did what she did with this expectation in mind that it wasn’t the actual end. It’s possible that she believed in life after death and that the only way to get relief from the emotions and problems she was experiencing was through the process of dying. I don’t know how to explain that better, but it’s just a strong feeling I got as I read these cards.

The Two of Pentacles shows someone who experienced ups and downs – likely trying to find balance or a way to deal with the chaos they felt was surrounding them or within them.

The Six of Cups can be a card about reminiscing – for better or worse – about one’s childhood or past experiences. Sometimes it can indicate that a person was abused as a child, but not always.

The Eight of Cups is walking away from a person or situation that one feels is no longer beneficial to them. What’s odd about it is that is often comes with this dynamic of gathering strength and courage to accomplish this. So I don’t know if Amy felt torn about her plans and was trying to gather the courage to execute them, or if there is another component to this card that I’m not seeing.

Strength came up again in this reading and is about overcoming hardships. Often it pertains to feelings of doubt or disbelief in a person’s ability to persevere.

The Five of Swords is a conflict card, but it can also indicate self-sabotage and violence. It usually denotes situations where a person doesn’t feel like they can completely overcome the problem or whoever is associated with it, and so they either admit defeat or they take other action.

The Hanged Man is showing the need for release and a feeling of being confined or trapped. It’s also a card of sacrifice – usually with the belief that it is for a greater good or a higher cause/power.

The Four of Cups reversed is when a person leaves a period of stagnation. They feel they have a viable opportunity to do something, and they take it.

Neither of the readings gave me clear insight into what happened to Timmothy specifically. There are definitely a lot of cards suggesting emotional distress/mental illness on the part of the mom. Like I always say, these are just tarot readings, and I don’t have a way to know what happened for sure or what the facts are surrounding these situations. I didn’t see cards that suggested Timmothy is alive, but there weren’t any that outright showed him as deceased either. The mom might have possibly had some beliefs about the afterlife and/or reincarnation that fueled some of the decisions she made. It would be interesting to know what her religious and spiritual beliefs were regarding all that because I think it would tell people a lot about what really happened here and why.

Claudia Lawrence

Disappearance: March 19, 2009
Location: Heworth, York, England

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Summary:

Claudia was last described as being seen on March 19th of 2009. She is said to have left her home to go to work and then disappeared. She was 35-years-old at the time.

Question: What circumstances caused Claudia’s disappearance?

Row 1
9 of Cups – Page of Cups – 5 of Swords
Card pulled for the Page of Cups: 7 of Wands

Row 2
2 of Pentacles (r) – Queen of Cups (r) – 6 of Swords (r)
Card pulled for the Queen of Cups (r): Ace of Wands

Row 3
The Lovers – The Devil – 8 of Swords (r)

Reading

There was a lot going on around the time that Claudia disappeared. The Nine of Cups is suggesting that she went into these circumstances (the ones that caused or contributed to her disappearing) in a good place mentally and emotionally. It’s a card that indicates satisfaction with a person’s accomplishments, happiness, and just a general sense of wellbeing.

The Page of Cups is either a young person, such as a child, or a message. In this case, it is likely a message that she received in reference to a relationship. Upright, it is usually good news and so it’s interesting that it is coming up in reference to all this as a contributing factor. Sometimes it represents a proposal, a marriage, a pregnancy, or the revelation that someone has romantic type feelings for someone.

But the odd thing is that the Seven of Wands, pulled in relation to the Page of Cups, is showing a situation where someone feels like they have to defend themselves. It is a card where someone stands firm regarding their beliefs, interests, or position on a matter. Sometimes the person who is taking this defensive stance is responding to a situation that calls for it – like an accusation or something definitive; however, there are times when a person reacts this way and there are not necessarily circumstances to warrant it. I don’t know what the case is here.

The Five of Swords is showing me conflict arising from this situation though. It is another defensive type of card, where someone feels as though they are under attack. However, given that it is the second one presenting this general theme, I feel like it is trying to drive home that the conflict was real (not imagined) and that it escalated quickly.

The Two of Pentacles reversed is showing a situation where Claudia was trying to find a balance. It can come up in times of financial distress, but it can also indicate a situation where someone is trying to juggle too many things at once – and it is just too much. Maybe a plan went awry – or perhaps the news kicked off a change in the course of her life – and she didn’t have a contingency plan in place. So maybe she also didn’t expect whatever came her way.

The Queen of Cups reversed could represent Claudia’s mindset at this particular point in time, or it could represent an entirely different person. It would be someone with energy consistent with an adult female – who is responding to things in an overly sensitive and/or emotional way and is likely depressed over their circumstances. The Ace of Wands, pulled in relation to this card, is about new beginnings and is generally positive. It can indicate plans to travel, a pregnancy, or a new business/creative idea. If it doesn’t represent Claudia, then I wonder if it represents whoever she felt on the defensive with, and someone directly involved in the conflict mentioned previously.

What’s interesting about the Queen card is that the next one – the Six of Swords reversed – is a card that can indicate canceled travel plans. It can also indicate drowning in some cases or being put in a situation where you have nowhere to go – nowhere to run.

The Lovers could represent an important decision that Claudia was faced with making or it could indicate a romantic type of relationship situation.

The Devil is troubling in this reading because it’s showing these potential issues surrounding the situation, such as addiction, obsession, infidelity, cruelty, etc. It can indicate acts of violence as well.

The Eight of Swords reversed is a card that comes up when someone is trying to achieve a sense of freedom. It can also indicate standing up to someone who is abusive. It comes up sometimes when a person has had enough of something, and they seek freedom from it.

We will see what the next reading shows, but this is reading almost like a situation where someone had a romantic interest in Claudia that was beyond what would be considered normal or healthy. Maybe she didn’t realize this at first, but if accurate, then something seems to have happened to tip her off and that’s when everything might have gotten crazy for Claudia.

Question: Who or what caused Claudia’s disappearance?

Row 1
6 of Wands – 5 of Pentacles (r) – 7 of Pentacles

Row 2
5 of Wands (r) – 4 of Pentacles – The Wheel (r)

Row 3
10 of Wands – The Devil – 4 of Cups

Reading:

This reading refers to whoever is responsible for Claudia disappearing and so the cards pertain to them. I’m not getting a bunch of court cards or anything that is suggesting a lot of people were involved. It seems and feels like there is just one main player who is responsible for all this, but that doesn’t mean that didn’t have someone helping. It’s just not clear from all this.

The Six of Wands shows a person who wants public recognition and admiration.

The Five of Pentacles reversed suggests the person may have once experienced hardships pertaining to financial or material matters but overcame them. It can indicate employment or the paying off of debts.

The Seven of Pentacles is showing that the person was experiencing some of the fruits of their labor, so to speak. They might have put some hard work into something, and it appeared to be paying off.

The Five of Wands reversed can indicate the end of a struggle or a conflict. But it can also have another facet where someone is experiencing a lot of pent-up energy, suppressing their temper, and/or acting in a way that seeks to avoid conflict.

This person has some issues with regard to holding on too tightly to possessions, money, and/or people. This card does not necessarily represent someone who has money; it is more a representation of someone who does not want to share whatever it is they have.

The Wheel reversed shows them as having experienced a complete change of luck or fortune. Something threw a wrench into their plans or life, it seems.

The Ten of Wands shows them as feeling overburdened and stressed out – with too many responsibilities and a lack of focus.

The Devil is showing that the issues that came up in the first reading, as indicated by the exact same card, as associated with this person in particular. It’s possible this is someone who had addictions, but there’s definitely an obsessive quality about this person.

The Four of Cups is showing them as refusing or missing out on opportunities, feeling disillusioned, and maybe even living in a fantasy land of sorts. Often the focus of the person represented by this card is either negative or apathetic.

So for a person with no understanding of who might be involved in all this, the above doesn’t tell me enough to identify them. However, that could be a completely different story for someone who does have extensive knowledge and knows of a suspect – or multiple – and can narrow it down.

Khayman Welch

Disappearance: 08/12/2020
Location: Toronto National Forest, Arizona – Superstition Mountains

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims or facts with regard to any person or situation. I only present the possible meanings associated with the cards, as well as intuitions and impressions that I get during the reading. All readings are suppositional and should be treated as such.

Summary:

Khayman Welch was last described as saying he was taking a short walk on August 12th of 2020, in the Superstition Mountains. He was 25-years-old at the time of his disappearance.

Question: What circumstances caused Khayman’s disappearance?

Row 1
Page of Swords (r) – 6 of Wands (r) – Emperor
Card pulled for the Page of Swords (r): 3 of Pentacles (r)

Row 2
6 of Cups – Death (r) – Knight of Wands (r)
Card pulled for the Knight of Wands (r): 6 of Pentacles (r)

Row 3
King of Cups – 7 of Wands – Queen of Wands (r)
Card pulled for the King of Cups: 2 of Cups
Card pulled for the Queen of Wands (r): Magician

Reading

The Page of Swords reversed can represent bad news that is usually delivered quickly (in person, text, etc.) and/or a situation where someone is not thinking clearly or is having destructive thoughts. There is a sense of paranoia that can be associated with this card, as well as defensiveness. The Three of Pentacles reversed was pulled in relation to the Page card and it’s showing a situation characterized by poor collaboration – typically in a home or work environment, but not always. The card can point to a lack of motivation, someone who isn’t producing quality work, or someone who is making mistakes and not learning from them.

Since the reading is on Khayman, the Six of Wands reversed almost certainly pertains to him and how he was feeling around the time of his disappearance. It shows a person who feels like they are a failure and who is deeply disappointed. There can be a sense of feeling like a person is being set up to fail or is being targeted in some negative way. But given the first couple of cards, these feelings might not represent what was happening in actuality and might truly more reflect how Khayman was feeling (his thought process).

The Emperor is coming up as a kind of father figure or person who felt protective toward Khayman. This would have been someone who had an air of authority, was practical, and someone who can be counted on to do their part. It is in the upright position and so it isn’t reading like a negative influence or person that was seeking to harm Khayman. It’s more like a person who could see that things were not going well for him and was trying to provide support. That’s the appearance of it, at least, and I’m not seeing other cards that call that into question.

The Six of Cups shows me that the past was influencing Khayman and his situation a lot. He might have been thinking a lot about his childhood or things that happened in his life over the years.

Death reversed is a period of stagnation and can also represent depression. It can come up when a person knows that they need to make changes in their life, but for whatever reason are struggling to do that. This is another card pointing to a person not learning the lessons they are supposed to learn, and it can also suggest an impending inevitable end to something.

The Knight of Wands reversed is the energy of a younger adult male who can come across as rebellious, reckless, overly confident, and lacking in self-discipline at times. It’s also someone prone to making hasty decisions – acting before thinking things out. I don’t know if this is meant to represent Khayman or someone else in the picture at the time he disappeared. However, the Six of Pentacles reversed is showing a power dynamic between at least two people that was not balanced. If the Knight represents Khayman, it is like someone was trying to help him or offering him help that either had strings attached or that Khayman perceived as such. Or it could be an abuse of help or charity, on the part of the person receiving it.

The King of Cups represents an older mature male energy. This is a person who comes across as sympathetic, compassionate, and helpful. The Two of Cups is coming up as a partnership or relationship card where there was a sense of mutual respect and harmony. It can refer to any type of relationship – friendship, romantic, etc.

The Seven of Wands is a card that usually depicts defensiveness. It’s like when a person gets accused of something, or thinks they are being accused of something, and they try to stand up for themselves.

The Queen of Wands reversed is a card that depicts a feminine type of adult female energy – or someone that comes across that way. In it’s reversed position, it’s someone acting in a pushy or demanding way. The Magician is linked to this card and is someone who is very intelligent, skilled at whatever it is they do, and is resourceful. Sometimes it indicates a person with psychic powers or abilities that are somewhat scare or outside of the norm.

The Seven of Wands is situated between the King card and the Queen and so there is a possibility that the defensiveness or feelings associated with that card in particular have to do with one or both of these other people.

Question: Who or what caused Khayman’s disappearance?

Row 1
7 of Swords (r) – The World (r) – King of Swords (r)
Card pulled for the King of Swords (r): Justice

Row 2
6 of Swords – Hierophant (r) – 3 of Cups

Row 3
5 of Wands (r) – Hermit (r) – 3 of Pentacles (r)

Reading:

When reading the cards, it’s important to consider them from two different perspectives in relation to the question of “who or what.” On one hand, they might all represent Khayman – particularly if he is the primary cause of his own disappearance for reasons intended or unintended. On the other hand, if someone else was involved in his disappearance then they are more likely referring to that person (or people).

The Seven of Swords reversed is showing a person who either got caught doing something they shouldn’t have been doing or were about to. It can refer to someone admitting to something they did as well.

The World reversed depicts a lack of success, feeling like a burden or disappointment, and the potential imposition of an unwanted beginning. So it’s like something specific might have happened that was a catalyst for all this.

The King of Swords reversed is someone who tells self-serving stories, manipulates situations and facts, and can come across as overly opinionated or biased. It’s often someone who comes across with an adult masculine type of energy. Now what is interesting here is that the Justice card is directly connected to this person. This card can come up in reference to lawsuits, karmic justice, and other types of cause-and-effect consequences.

The Six of Swords depicts a calmer situation that typically follows a pretty significant time of conflict or problems. It can refer to someone who is running away from their problems because they are seeking relief from them. In some contexts, it indicates travel.

The Hierophant reversed can represent bad advice that was given, someone who is unconventional and rebellious, and a desire for freedom from conventions.

The Three of Cups is usually a card signifying social gatherings, parties, happy times, etc. I don’t know if there was a belief or perception that normal life expectations or conventions were blocking Khayman from achieving a sense of happiness or what. It could be that Khayman had these supports around him, but he was unable or unwilling to acknowledge them. I’m really not sure with this one.

The Five of Wands reversed is someone who feels like they are fatigued from battle, is ready to try to find a solution or compromise and is seeking a resolution to a conflict.

The Hermit reversed depicts someone who is behaving reclusively, withdrawing from others, feeling as though they have been rejected, and someone who sees themselves as an outsider. This is someone who feels really alone and isolated, for whatever reason. It can sometimes show a person who self-isolates and goes off on their own, which is what we are basically told Khayman did when he walked away from the rest stop area where he and his uncle are said to have parked.

And the reading ends with the Three of Pentacles reversed making its second appearance. Again, this depicts a situation where there is poor collaboration, a person not learning from past mistakes, a lack of determination, and the absence of motivation.

These readings come across as a situation where Khayman was experiencing significant emotional and mental conflict/confusion. I don’t see cards indicating he was physically attacked or murdered. It really reads like his mental state contributed to a situation where he put himself in danger by going off on his own. I don’t know if he planned to disappear for good or not, but his lack of motivation and willingness to put in the hard work – for himself – might have contributed to his ultimate fate. When I say he lacked motivation, I’m not saying he didn’t want his life to get better or anything like that. I’m saying that whatever was going on with him was powerful enough to act as an unwavering obstacle to that. It’s a really sad situation. There was such a sense of palpable despair and disappointment that accompanied both readings.

Jessica Stacks

Disappearance: 01/01/2021
Location: New Albany, Mississippi

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. Tarot reading is an art and not a science.

Summary:

Jessica Nicole Stacks reportedly disappeared after getting off a boat she had gotten onto with a boyfriend. He said that she got out of the boat and starting walking toward the highway. Jessica has not been seen since.

Jessica Stacks reading 1

Reading:

The reading about who or what caused Jessica’s disappearance begins with Temperance reversed. The two primary options with this card, in a situation where someone has gone missing, include disharmony or conflict and the possibility of overindulgence in terms of alcohol or other things of that nature. Because the reading is beginning with this card, I would say it’s an important piece of the puzzle in terms of what happened to her.

The Two of Wands reversed indicates poor planning, or a lack of planning. It can also represent a situation where a person feels they have limited options if they are trying to decide about something.

The Wheel of Fortune reversed signifies circumstances shrouded in bad luck and unfortunate events, or some kind of upheaval, that likely fell outside of Jessica’s immediate control.

The King of Swords has come up as an older male individual (or someone who has those attributes and mannerisms) who appears to have been with her at the time of her disappearance. The Three of Cups is the card pulled in connection with it and it is usually associated with celebrations or happy social occasions. It is probably referencing the proximity of time in terms of this occurring at some point on New Years Day morning, but I’m not sure.

The Six of Swords is often a travel card. It can also represent a time of calm after there has been conflict, or a time when people are beginning to move forward after a time of disruption or stagnation. It could refer to Jessica being on a boat, but it doesn’t necessarily suggest that the story about her getting off the boat and going off on her own is accurate. It more just suggests that this represents a time in which the conflict or problems died down, and possible travel from one location to another of some kind – potentially by water or boat, but this is not a certainty with this card. Sometimes it refers to the period of time after a major conflict.

The Page of Cups is an interesting card to come up because it’s one I often see when someone proposes marriage or there is some kind of positive news relating to a relationship or family. However, the Seven of Cups reversed is suggesting the possibility that it might not have been well received – or that in Jessica’s mind, it might have felt as though she didn’t have a lot of options or better options. By contrast, it sometimes simply points to poor decision-making.

The Two of Cups is another card pointing to a relationship that Jessica had with someone (likely the King of Swords person, since he was someone introduced a little into the reading). The card usually represents a close relationship or connection. Some of these cards are reading like Jessica was not as sure about the relationship – like she was having misgivings about it or just had a different perspective on it than the person in the King position.

The Two of Swords card is another one that seems to show Jessica as potentially not being on exactly the same page as the King of Swords individual. First, the Two of Swords can be a card where someone is in denial about something. Second, it can represent someone who wants time to delve inward and think about their situation before they make decisions. It’s a card that comes up when someone feels they have no good options to choose from and so they are uncomfortable making a choice.

The Fool reversed is a card depicting poor decision making – where someone acts in a way that is careless or does not really account for all the possible risks inherent in a situation. There can also be negligence with this card.

So the only other person this reading appears to have focused in on was the individual represented by the King of Swords card which is meant to answer the question as to who or what caused her disappearance. I feel like we got a little bit of a glimpse into the why as well; however, I would like to do a second reading and see what more I can get.

Reading

Straight away we have the Moon. This is saying that there’s more to this story than is being told. People are keeping secrets and there are hidden elements that have not fully been uncovered. There could be multiple people with information about what really happened and there is a sense of hidden or inherent danger in the situation, though I don’t really understand what that’s about just yet.

The Ace of Swords is assertive in that it represents a situation where a person clings to their truth or is willing to articulate what it is they want or need. Jessica was apparently having problems or conflicts with at least one other person – the person mentioned in the prior reading – and she was trying to make the right decision about it all.

The Seven of Wands reversed may indicate someone who feels defeated or does not feel as though they have enough power or control to fully defend themselves. Perhaps they feel a loss of control, or they feel as though they don’t have the energy or stamina to hold their ground. The Wands is a suit of action and so it could represent an actual physical altercation or fight, though it is hard to say for sure just based on these readings. Like I always say, these are tarot readings. Not everything is going to be accurate, and I can misinterpret what cards are trying to tell me at times as well.

The Knight of Wands came up as a card representing a person with masculine traits or attributes. Such a person might have a quick temper and come across as passionate about different aspects of life. The Ten of Wands reversed is showing this person as feeling overwhelmed and faced with an insurmountable obstacle – someone who feels resigned to their fate, for whatever reason. It kind of feels like this is another person with some after-the-fact kind of involvement or knowledge. It reads like someone else who was pulled into it and felt like it brought a significant amount of stress on them – more burden than they felt they should have, basically.

Death reversed is showing me that there was a lack of harmony between the person indicated by at least one person and Jessica. It’s a card that can come up when people breakup, or are on the verge of it, or when a relationship has serious problems but one or both people fear change too much to leave it behind. Sometimes an attempt to break up with someone can trigger negative events or violence. I don’t know if that’s the case here but it reads as a possibility.

The Page of Cups has returned for this reading and again seems to represent some kind of proposal or positive news that must have had a significant influence on the situation because it has come up in two separate readings now. The Queen of Cups reversed is the card pulled in direct connection with the Page and so there is this sense that the proposal or information was given to Jessica. It is coming up as upright in both readings which means that on its face, it’s something positive and good. However, Jessica might not have viewed it that way or reacted in a way that was expected. This part is hard to get a clear picture of right now.

The Knight of Swords reversed was pulled for the Queen reversed card and this is most likely to represent one of two things (and I honestly don’t know which one is more likely since I have so little background information on this): 1) it might represent a side to the boyfriend or significant other that was acting as a kind of obstacle in terms of making Jessica reluctant to move forward with whatever was offered or proposed, or 2) it could represent another person entirely that Jessica felt stood between her and the person who has appeared in both readings. The Star is the outcome that Jessica would have hoped to achieve, or the one she was basing her decisions on. And whoever the person was in the Knight of Swords reversed position (the boyfriend or someone else entirely) stood in the way of that or was a reason why a positive outcome might now happen.

Somehow, it does feel like there were at least three people involved or who had direct knowledge about what happened (including Jessica). I cannot totally make sense of this though.

The King of Wands reversed is someone who demonstrates the more negative or aggressive elements of the Wand court cards, such as a potential for recklessness, a quick or hot temper, etc. Again, this comes across as an older male versus the Knight that is either a younger male or someone who comes across as immature for their age. The Four of Swords came up in connection with this older person and denotes a strong sense of anxiety, fear, and mental overload. It is a card showing that someone is seeking to rest or recuperate after a significant conflict or series of battles.

The Six of Pentacles reversed shows an inequity between the people involved. It’s a card that can represent someone giving gifts or support, with strings attached, or someone who yields power and control in a situation because they have more material or monetary resources than the other. There also might be a monetary aspect of all this that I’m not picking up on. It could be someone getting money to keep quiet or someone who feels like they must keep quiet in the interest of a shared business or endeavor, or something along those lines.

The Six of Wands reversed is a situation where someone feels as though they have failed to achieve what they wanted, and they feel they are at a total disadvantage. I am included to read this as Jessica’s final positioning in the reading, but it could also pertain to someone who has knowledge or involvement in what happened to her and perhaps did not intend for it to go quite the way it did. There are elements in other parts of these readings that point to poor planning and reckless behavior, so it is not coming across as a meticulously planned situation.

The readings make me think that at least one person had a hand in her death, and they are keeping secrets about it. I’m inclined to think there is another person with knowledge as well, but I’m not as confident about that part.

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. Tarot reading is an art and not a science.

Summary:

Michael Vaughan, whose nickname was “Monkey”, disappeared from his neighborhood on July 27th of 2021 at the age of five.

Question: Who or what caused Michael Vaughan’s disappearance?

Row 1
The High Priestess – Strength (reversed) – 7 of Wands (reversed)

Row 2
8 of Wands – 2 of Swords (reversed) – 9 of Cups

Row 3
6 of Wands – Queen of Cups – The Chariot
Card pulled for the Queen of Cups: The Fool

Reading:

The High Priestess is referring to intuition and hidden knowledge – potentially on a subconscious level. It suggests people directly involved in looking for him should listen to their gut feelings because they may be receiving assistance or guidance in terms of where he is or how they may find him.

Strength reversed shows a situation where Michael was overcome physically and emotionally.

The Seven of Wands reversed is related to the above card in that it represents someone who is giving up or admitting defeat.

The Eight of Wands depicts a situation that unfolded very quickly. So the events happened fast.

The Two of Swords reversed is suggesting that the truth about what happened will be exposed – potentially sooner rather than later if one factors in the speed in which things upfold as communicated by the Eight of Wands. This card also warns of lies being exposed so it does appear the truth will come out about this situation, and anyone involved.

The Nine of Cups, and the subsequent Six of Wands, are strange – but interesting – cards to appear in this particular reading. The Nine of Cups refers to emotions and the sense that someone has that they have achieved success and circumstances are going their way. It can also point to someone who seeks fame or attention for their accomplishments.

The Six of Wands is a similar card in some ways, because it refers to someone who gets recognition and praise for things that they do. It depicts a person that others might view as a kind of leader and someone who does positive things. Sometimes – but not always – it can refer to someone who inserts themselves into an investigation by acting as though they are helping, when their motives are really to try to cast suspicion elsewhere or get inside details about what the police are doing. This is a tarot card reading, and not everything in it is going to be accurate or interpreted correctly on my end, but I’m throwing that out as a possibility.

The Queen of Cups is showing a person who is likely an adult and demonstrates feminine types of attributes. Such a person is sensitive emotionally and can be easily wounded by criticism or harsh words. The Fool is the card I pulled in connection with the Queen. This could be conveying one of two things. The first is the possibility that Michael was lured away by this person, or someone connected to them directly, with the promise of an adventure or something along those lines. It could show him as going along and not questioning the situation at the time – blindly trusting, essentially. The second possibility is that the Fool refers to the person in the Queen position and reflects their motives – kidnapping a child because they want to have a family or something more nefarious, depending on other factors.

The last card is the Chariot. This card denotes movement and travel. It can sometimes represent transportation by vehicle and so it could be trying to drive home the point that he was taken quickly, by vehicle. The speed in which everything happened is probably complicating the investigation.

Question: What is happening with Michael Vaughan currently?

Row 1
The World (reversed) – 4 of Cups (reversed) – Knight of Wands (reversed)
Card pulled for the Knight of Wands (r): 5 of Cups (reversed)

Row 2
The Lovers (reversed) – 6 of Cups (reversed) – Ace of Cups

Row 3
2 of Wands – Magician (reversed) – King of Swords (reversed)
Card pulled for the King of Swords (r): 3 of Swords (reversed)

Reading

The World reversed suggests partial success and partial failure. Everything didn’t go exactly as planned.

The Four of Cups reversed is one where one or more people involved are trying to take advantage of possible opportunities and move beyond feelings pertaining to regret or not achieving all goals.

The Knight of Wands reversed is depicting a younger male energy (late teens, twenties, or thereabout) who might simply be an older person who acts immature for their age. However, this is someone who makes decisions impulsively and recklessly – something that has created some issues for the person or people involved.

The Five of Cups reversed, pulled in relation to the Knight reversed card, is showing someone who was recently experiencing grief or emotional upset, but has made it a point to begin moving on and letting go of the sadness or sorrow they recently felt.

The Lovers reversed could stand for a poor decision that is impacting all of this, or it can represent a relationship that is going wrong or went wrong recently. It could depict fighting or conflict that is occurring because of this situation.

The Six of Cups reversed shows someone trying to let go of the past. It might also point to childhood issues or abuse in someone’s life that is factoring into all of this somehow – even if only on a limited basis.

The Ace of Cups represents new beginnings and new relationships. I have no way of knowing if this is suggesting that Michael has entered into these because of his situation, or if it pertaining to the person or people involved.

The Two of Wands can show a person who is taking concrete steps toward a goal. The person or people are moving beyond merely planning or talking about possibilities. It can also indicate travel or a feeling of restlessness. People represented by this card might feel the urge to travel or move suddenly. It can also be a card of cooperation and so it does feel like more than one person is involved here. It is coming across like there are at least two people.

The Magician reversed is often a person who manipulates people and lies. Sometimes these people accomplish their goals by tricking people or creating a false sense of reality. It might link back to one or more people appearing to try to help with the case, but it is hard to know for sure.

The King of Swords reversed is coming through as an older and more mature (in terms of age and life experience) male. However, the age could vary widely in reality. This person manipulates situations and facts to get their way.

The Three of Swords reversed was pulled in connection with the King reversed. Either it is showing someone who is moving beyond a period of heartbreak or grief, or it is someone who is using their lies and manipulation to get someone else to overcome their pain or sadness.

I really don’t have a clear indication of Michael’s current status. Mostly, if at all accurate, the cards are giving more of a sense of who did it. They also seem to rule some people out. For example, I didn’t see anything pointing to the parents.

Trevor Nichols reading 1

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. When/if I say that something happened, in any part of a reading description, I mean that is what I am interpreting from the cards, their positions, and other related factors.

Summary:

Trevor Nichols was last seen on November 17th of 2017 in Syracuse, New York. He was reportedly seen getting on a train. Trevor was 24 years old when he disappeared. He was a Specialist E4 in the U.S. Army, and he was getting transferred to Fort Riley in Kansas. That was where he was said to have been heading. However, he never got there.

Reading:

The Hierophant reversed tells me that around the time Trevor disappeared, he was feeling restricted by his circumstances. Specifically, by the structure and rules that he was expected to live by. He is coming across as a strong personality in that he preferred to have more control over his situation and circumstances.

The Three of Wands reversed is communicating a situation where Trevor was experiencing a lot of difficulty. The card often signifies a return home from afar and so at some point in the not-so-distant past it looks like he returned from a trip or something along those lines. I saw on a missing poster that he had been stationed overseas at some point and so this is probably in reference to that. The distance created or exacerbated problems with a relationship because this card shows a failed long-distance relationship type of situation.

The Seven of Wands reversed is another card conveying to me that Trevor didn’t feel he had much control over his life anymore. This was causing him distress. I think he also felt burned out in terms of his career. Since he was on his way to serve in a completely different location, I think this might have sent him into a bit of a spiral. He was not happy about it. He felt defeated by his circumstances. It was a culmination of many different things, but this occurrence did not help.

There are two reversed Page cards in this reading. Pages often signify the delivery of messages or information, but they can also represent people. If these two represent individuals in Trevor’s life, then they are younger people who behaved immaturely. These would have been people who acted as though they were much younger than their age. The Devil reversed, pulled in connection with these two cards, makes me wonder if these were people giving Trevor a hard time or pulling him down in some kind of way. It just comes across as a negative influence and both Pages, in a reversed position, represent people who are prone to speaking before thinking or saying nasty things. They wouldn’t have been positive people in his life.

The Devil reversed is linked to those two Pages and it depicts a situation where Trevor was looking to reclaim control over his life and break free of certain people or influences. I’m not entirely sure what was going on there, but whatever those represent is significant enough to have found its way into this particular reading.

The Seven of Cups is a card that comes up if someone feels that perhaps something is missing from their life, and they want to evaluate several options in terms of what to do or what to pursue. Sometimes the card is associated with fantastical types of thinking, but it is also one that suggests the person was considering a multitude of possibilities or options. Trevor felt he had more than one path that he could take, and he appears to have been weighing those options.

The Four of Pentacles reversed card is one that shows a person giving up material possessions or things with financial value. It can also point to excessive or reckless spending. Sometimes it refers to someone who becomes really reluctant to spend their money – almost to the point of hoarding it, I guess you might say. So this one can go either way.

The Queen of Swords reversed shows me there was someone who is coming across as an adult female. The reversed Queen of Swords tells me they were exhibiting the more negative attributes associated with the card. This is someone who might have made accusations or claims that weren’t true, or someone who behaved in ways that were hurtful and bordering on malicious. Queens can represent someone who is a mother or someone who is trying to be/wants to be.

I pulled the Two of Wands reversed in relation to the Queen reversed card. It is showing me that something was going on there between this person and Trevor. I don’t know if it was romantic or platonic or what. There was some kind of issue with planning – where there was a failure to plan properly and one or both people felt they had limited options in their situation. It almost feels like one person stayed in the relationship longer than they should have and did not feel the same level of commitment. I’m not sure. This isn’t clear to me yet.

The Sun is a positive card in the upright position as it represents life and vitality. This is the first reading out of two that I am doing on Trevor and so I am hesitant to put what I think it means on the table. I want to see what the next reading shows me first. I would like to take it as a positive sign though.

The Hermit reversed is showing me that Trevor was – or is, depending on what is really going on here – in a situation where he felt rejected, reclusive, and lonely. There is also a sense of willful isolation or anti-social behavior where someone withdraws from others deliberately. In the reversed position it can sometimes signify someone coming out of such a state. It depends.

Question: Did Trevor Nichols cause his own disappearance?’

Row 1
Ace of Pentacles – 8 of Pentacles (reversed) – Strength

Row 2
Ace of Wands (reversed) – 9 of Pentacles – Queen of Swords
Card pulled for the Queen of Swords: The Tower

Row 3
3 of Swords (reversed) – 10 of Wands (reversed) – 4 of Swords (reversed)

Trevor Nichols reading 2

Reading:

The Ace of Pentacles is a card of new financial or career opportunities. It could suggest that Trevor was looking for something like this or that he felt he had already found one.

The Eight of Pentacles reversed is telling me that he did not see the job he had at the time, with the military, as one that would really pan out for the long-run. To him, it felt like a dead-end and he really did not feel connected to it – for lack of a better way of describing his situation.

One of the questions I have had in my mind this whole time is: did Trevor commit suicide? I am not finding a specific card, or combination of cards, which points solidly to this. But I’m also not finding anything that definitively convinces me he didn’t – which is frustrating. I do think he was going through a depression that was related to his circumstances at the time – something that is understandable given what the cards have shown me thus far.

Strength almost seems to have appeared to communicate to me that he did not take his own life. This is a card that reflects someone who has a lot of underlying courage. He is coming across as down and out, but if he was feeling suicidal then the Strength card has me leaning toward thinking he was trying to work through that and overcome the sense of defeat and distress he was feeling.

The Ace of Wands reversed likely means one of two things here. The first possibility is that he got bad news. The second is that he likely felt that his talent was wasted on the military and he wanted more from life. He isn’t coming across as feeling like the job was really compatible with what he felt he could do or accomplish.

The Nine of Pentacles is saying that he was someone who wanted to feel like his work counted for something and that he mattered. He wanted to also have a sense of independence and feel self-sufficient.

The Queen of Swords is showing up in this reading again. However, it is presenting in its upright position. I pulled the Tower in relation to her which tells me something happened with this person that turned Trevor’s life completely upside down. Whatever happened was not expected and basically brought about the feeling that the structure and foundation of his existence had crumbled. So we could be looking at the dissolution of a relationship, but there are critical circumstances here. Whatever happened seems to have rocked his world.

The Three of Swords reversed tells me that he was working his way out of all that though. In its reversed position, the Three of Swords shows a person who is slowly recovering. One thing to note is that it can at times point to a reconciliation with the person who originally broke their heart. I don’t see other cards suggesting a reconciliation though.

The Ten of Wands reversed could be taken one of two ways here. On one hand, it can show someone who is abandoning their responsibilities – shirking them essentially. On the other, it can mean that someone is on the verge of a breakdown or feels completely overwhelmed by what is happening in their life. I don’t know which applies here because the application of each meaning has different implications in terms of what ultimately happened to Trevor.

The Four of Swords reversed might clue us in to which path, however. This is a complex card, but its underlying meaning is one of recovery. It can indicate a sense of restlessness. If a person responds to the feelings and drives associated with this card in a way that is self-aware then they may decide to step back, rest, and reconsider what is happening. The alternative is that they will push forward and hit up against more problems and barriers because it could mean they are fighting a pointless fight.

Question: Is Trevor Nichols alive?

Row 1
Mother of Air reversed – 2 of Air (reversed) – 6 of Water (reversed)

Row 2
The Hanged Man – 10 of Water – 4 of Water (reversed)

Trevor Nichols reading 3

Reading:

The Mother of Air reversed is the equivalent of the Queen of Swords reversed. Why is this person coming up in every single reading I have done on Trevor? They clearly have answers and knowledge. To find out what happened to Trevor, someone must identify who this person is and then try to ascertain what they know. This is a person who relies on their sense of logic to make decisions and can come across as cold or calculating. I hope this person wasn’t trying to talk him into doing anything that would cause him harm. This person keeps coming up and I don’t understand why. Because every reading has zeroed in on the air element Queen, this could be someone with the astrology sign of Aquarius, Gemini, or Libra. Or at least someone who closely matches personality traits or attributes associated with one.

The Two of Air reversed shows me someone who is out of touch with their emotions. The question pertained to Trevor and so the card likely reflects his mindset. It shows him as having been in denial about something. The equivalent in other decks is the Two of Swords reversed and I have seen that come up in cases where lies were exposed and the truth was revealed. I’m hoping that is the case here.

The Six of Water reversed is a person who is having a hard time letting go. Their stress and burdens are preventing them from enjoying the smaller things in life.

The Hanged Man could be figurative or literal. In a figurative sense, it depicts a person who is waiting. Typically it is someone who feels as though they are making a sacrifice. They feel resigned to their fate, and they have accepted that they can’t change aspects of their situation. I don’t have to explain what it means in a literal sense. That’s evident.

The Ten of Water is showing Trevor as finally having accepted his circumstances. In this particular deck, the card has a meaning of completion and feeling as though one has enough to get by. I am not sure how much meaning to apply to cards in this deck, from ones in the traditional RWS, but if I were to compare then this would be the 10 of Cups. That is a card of happy homes and relationships. It would be nice if somehow this applies in a positive way, though it’s impossible for me to say which application is the most accurate.

The Four of Water reversed depicts someone who is afraid of getting hurt again. However, they have reached a point of feeling somewhat restless and bored.

The prevalence of water cards in the final reading stands out to me. I am not sure why I can’t quite get the information needed to determine what Trevor’s status is right now, or what happened to him specifically to cause his disappearance.

If any of this is accurate, I have a better understanding of some of the surrounding circumstances now, but I don’t know for sure who the Queen of Swords person is and why they have played such a prominent role in both readings. I am seeing them as a source of the answers that I cannot seem to get here. At a minimum, they were a catalyst that appears to have contributed to events leading to Trevor’s disappearance. I’m not going as far as to say they are responsible; I’m saying they know more than anyone else does about what happened here. There are aspects of this that are bothering me a lot.

Ultimately, I do not know Trevor’s ultimate fate for certain. These are just tarot readings and sometimes a card can have a few different meanings or outcomes. I always hope for a positive outcome – the most positive possible. Sometimes the unexpected happens and it turns out much better than people dared hope. I can only say that I truly hope Trevor’s loved ones get the answers they need.

Mercedes Toliver reading 1 – Dark Angels tarot

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. When/if I say that something happened, in any part of a reading description, I mean that is what I am interpreting from the cards, their positions, and other related factors.

Summary:

Mercedes Zaevon Toliver was 18 years old when she disappeared on December 17th of 2016. She left her home on the 300 block of Rosston Road and appeared to be headed South.

Reading:

The Nine of Swords reversed tells me that at the time of Mercedes’ disappearance, she was experiencing stress and turmoil. The stress and anxiety had been going on for more than just the evening she vanished. However, this card in the reversed position suggests that she was in the process of working her way through it. She might have been talking about her feelings more and possibly requesting help from people.

The Six of Cups shows Mercedes as being in a mindset where she wished she could go back to a happier and perhaps simpler time. She was having a lot of thoughts about her earlier life – or childhood – and reminiscing about happier memories. This card can come up if someone is spending too much time thinking about the past, versus living in the present or moving forward.

At the time of her disappearance, Mercedes really longed for stability and a fresh start. The Ace of Pentacles represents new opportunities and a desire to achieve a greater sense of material and financial stability. Though Mercedes was thinking a lot about the past, she was also feeling as though her future was her proverbial light at the end of the tunnel (this ties back in with the Nine of Swords reversed) and so she was hopeful in this respect.

The Queen of Pentacles reversed is telling me there was a person with a feminine and more mature energy that came into the picture here. While the energy is feminine, there are times when a Queen card can represent a male and so the most important aspect is the personality characteristics and attributes. This is a person who came across as being selfish, jealous, intolerant, and overly focused on material things/money. It is coming across as someone likely older than Mercedes. They factor into her disappearance, but I don’t know precisely how.

The Nine of Cups reversed came up in relation to the Queen reversed person. It is showing them as being in a negative and generally unhappy mindset at the time of her disappearance. Was it someone Mercedes thought she could turn to for help or support, only to discover they had ulterior motives and negative feelings toward her? I can’t get a clear idea of what unfolded here.

Justice reversed is a concerning card in this reading because it describes the situation involving Mercedes as being unjust and unfair. Justice reversed can also point toward acts of retribution, corruption, or someone that has done something wrong and is trying to avoid being held accountable for it.

The Eight of Cups reversed indicates that Mercedes was staying in some type of bad situation. I don’t know if it is referring to something that happened between when she left her home and disappeared, or if it is referencing something that had been more ongoing. In traditional readings, this is a card that comes up if someone is in a situation that is not serving them well – or one that once worked out well for them, but no longer offered the same benefits – but are reluctant to move out for whatever reason.

The Five of Cups, on the last row of the reading, is depicting Mercedes as feeling extreme disappointment, sadness, or loss over something. A lot of cups cards are coming up in her reading which tells me her situation was highly emotionally charged. The cup cards represent a suit that pertains to emotions, relationships, creativity and things of that nature. It’s telling me that 1) Mercedes was an emotional person who would likely have demonstrated strong creative or artistic skills and 2) she was highly invested in matters of the heart and so any disruption in this area of her life – including anything to do with family – would have impacted her significantly. So this card is one that denotes emotional grief.

The Queen of Cups represents a female energy or person who demonstrates compassion and kindness. I don’t know if Mercedes turned to this person for help or what. The Three of Wands reversed is the card I pulled for the Queen. It is one associated with the frustration a person experiences when they feel they are limited or restricted. Sometimes it refers to delays that occur due to obstacles or restrictions. In other cases it has referred to a situation where someone returns home – either from travels or after being taken away. It would be nice if this meaning applies here in a way that favors Mercedes.

The Ten of Swords reversed is the last card on the row. In many respects, this is a card of hitting rock bottom. Once someone gets this card in a reading, it means they have reached an extremely low point. Such a situation offers a person the opportunity to obtain release from their problems or circumstances, but it is only attained if they facilitate it on their own. The person has to seize that opportunity and climb up out of the hole they are in.

I wanted to try to get some more focused information about how and why Mercedes disappeared and so I posed a somewhat different question to see where it would take me.

Question: Who or what caused Mercedes to disappear?

Row 1
8 of Pentacles (reversed) – Tower (reversed) – 3 of Swords

Row 2
The Chariot – Ace of Pentacles – Ace of Cups

Row 3
Justice (reversed) – Ace of Swords – 3 of Cups (reversed)

Mercedes Toliver reading 2 – Dancing in the Dark tarot

Reading:

The Eight of Pentacles reversed is showing Mercedes as lacking motivation but recognizing that she needed to come up with a plan. She didn’t want to end up in a dead-end job or in a situation where she wouldn’t be able to provide for herself properly. Money and material matters were on her mind at the time she disappeared.

The Tower reversed shows her as being in a situation where she was delaying the inevitable because she had a fear of change. She knew she needed to change something in her life and take advantage of new opportunities (as evidenced in the multitude of Aces in this reading), but she was resisting it for some reason. Something or someone was holding her back.

The Three of Swords is a card that shows up when someone is or has experienced heartbreak. It is a card that shows someone in a state of sadness and grief as a result of a broken relationship or a separation from someone. The card is reading as though she had been in a relationship or was in one at the time of her disappearance, that was causing her significant distress. It may tie in with the Tower reversed in that the relationship might have been bad or toxic, but she didn’t want to leave it for whatever reason. It does not necessarily have to be romantic relationship either. It could be a friendship or other relationship in which she felt emotionally invested. This has come up in two separate readings now so it feels like something to pay attention to at this point.

The Chariot in these kinds of readings signifies the involvement of a vehicle. In ordinary readings, it has other meanings pertaining to forward moving progression toward success or the use of willpower or self-discipline to achieve goals. However, I don’t find this card to have the same meaning when I pull it in disappearance readings or ones in which a crime was known to have been committed that involved a vehicle in some direct way.

The Ace of Pentacles is a card of new beginnings. However, I am leaning away from this showing Mercedes as disappearing intentionally because the first reading showed that she had really close ties to the people she cared about. Running away, or trying to start an entirely new life, does not seem to align with her energy. However, it can also point to future career or monetary goals. Money matters were on her mind, as shown in the first card, and so she was likely formulating plans about what she wanted to do in terms of a job or career path.

The Ace of Cups is also a card of new beginnings, but it usually refers to ones of an emotional or spiritual nature. It can also indicate an increase in creative thinking or feeling inspired to take on new creative endeavors. Odds are decent that Mercedes might have felt torn between a couple of career path options. The readings come across as her having a lot on her mind pertaining to these kinds of matters. Sometimes the Ace of Cups can point to meeting someone new. If coupled with the Chariot, there is a possibility that she met up with someone she had only recently met or someone she knew online but possibly had not met just yet.

Justice reversed came up in this reading again. It is showing me something bad definitely happened. An act of injustice occurred. The card carries the added significance that whatever happened was an act of dishonesty, corruption, or retaliation.

The Ace of Swords is a truth card, and it points to a possible breakthrough in this case in terms of learning new information or finding out about something that was previously not clear. The truth can be a double-edged sword though and so there is a need for people to be willing to hear and accept it before it can sometimes fully emerge.

There were some things going on in her social life that I don’t think she was openly sharing with people. In both readings, I had this feeling that she experienced some kind of bullying or was mistreated by one or more people. I can’t quite pinpoint why I am getting this impression or how significant it is in all of this. I just think that Mercedes had some eye-opening experiences. She might have been dealing with someone – or more than one person – who was jealous of her and mistreated her or something along those lines. Did this contribute to her disappearance? That I don’t know.

I don’t know anything about the investigation into her case. She was described as having left home with a cell phone and so I am wondering what that activity might have showed before there was no further activity. She was at an age where a lot of people have multiple social media accounts so that would be a place that I would imagine investigators have looked. If not, that is a really important aspect of her life to examine because she might have decided to meet up with someone online. Maybe she was feeling vulnerable and took a chance this way. She did seem to have a lot on her mind and was going through something because both readings pointed to a sense of grief and loss. Something seems to have happened there and it came up in both readings and so it could be pertinent to her disappearance.

I wish I could have gotten more out of these readings. I still feel like I only scratched the surface here. As always, please do not take any of the information described in the readings as fact until or unless details are proven.

Summary:

Liberty German and Abigail Williams were murdered after hiking the Monon High Bridge Trail on February 13th of 2017 in Delphi, Indiana. The girls were not found until February 14th of 2017. Despite Libby having taken a picture of a man the girls encountered on the bridge, and an audio recording of his voice, the case remains unsolved. The case is sometimes referred to as the Delphi murders.

The Reading:

I plan to do multiple readings for this case because different questions will yield differing types of information. I have no way to know what happened for certain. Please do not take any of the information described in the readings as fact until or unless details are proven.

The first card – due to the nature of the question asked – is intended to represent the person that committed the murder. The cards are showing me someone that is two-faced in nature. The person has a private identity and a public one. This means that outwardly they appear to be a mature man who can come across as enthusiastic and passionate, but at times impulsive and reckless. He presents himself as a leader or role model of some kind. He poses as someone who is typically friendly and approachable. And someone who offers safety and protection.

However, he is hiding his true nature which is the King of Swords reversed. In reality, he is a man that manipulates information and situations so that they work to his advantage. He is a predator with the ability to think strategically. He is deceitful. In his close personal relationships, he can behave in ways that are toxic, controlling, and oppressive. There are people who are familiar with this aspect of his personality.

I pulled the Three of Wands in relation to this man. When I do readings about disappearances, or unsolved crimes, the Three of Wands shows me someone who left the area at some point after the crime occurred. I am not necessarily saying he moved away, but he put physical distance between himself and the scene of the crime. What is important about this card is that it tells us he is local – due to his need to travel, versus merely just escaping or leaving the area.

I have two cards that I am not sure what to do with. I will explain their meaning and leave them out on the table for interpretation by anyone that knows more about this case and might be able to identify them.

The first card is the King of Pentacles, and it likely means one of two things. The first possibility is that there is a second person involved in the murders – even if the involvement is after-the-fact or what people might consider secondary. The second possibility is that it is someone who is connected to the person represented in the King of Wands position. The Empress is the card that I pulled for the King of Pentacles, and this represents a mother figure. The strongest message conveyed is that someone in a motherly position (maybe Abby’s mom?) knows this person or knows the person in the first card (King of Wands) through this King of Pentacles. Again, I am not completely sure how these fit in.

The reading consistently gives me this sense that people know this person. It is almost like people think the killer is going to be someone that neighbors will say “oh yeah, we always knew he was a little off,” but really it is more likely going to be someone the community says, “I never would have imagined in a million years that he would do something like this.” That is what I am getting from this reading as a whole. Sometimes the truth is so close that everyone ignores it and searches for answers beyond it.

The Hanged Man is telling me that the main perpetrator experienced a sense of being in limbo after he committed the murders. He was unsure what to do, how to hide, how to stay on top of the investigation, and other things of that nature. He wanted to gain perspective and get a feel for what people were saying and thinking about the murders.

I want to point out that I keep hearing in my mind that he participated in the search. He was a participant and he offered help. I am also hearing that he was able to do this easily because whoever he is – whatever his position or status is within the community – it would have pretty much been expected of him anyway. It allows him to blend in and not have to necessarily explain his presence. If this is true, he did not leave the area (temporarily or permanently) right away.

The Queen of Pentacles reversed is representing a feminine and more mature person that is somehow involved in all of this. The reversed position emphasizes some negative traits associated with this woman, such as a tendency to be self-absorbed, intolerant, and materialistic. However, I pulled the Magician in relation to this card and that tells me this person is resourceful, skilled, and probably respected in her field, profession, or community. She’s going to play a role in solving this, but I don’t know what that is.

Now the weird thing about these cards is that when I studied these two cards in particular, I remembered this woman who does this social engineering thing with DNA tracing. Basically, she takes unknown DNA, and she goes through the ancestry registries, and she can narrow it down to an immediate family and then eventually, a person. Her name is CeCe Moore. I looked up her astrology sign, and she is a Capricorn. Pentacles often represent earth signs or people that demonstrate the attributes associated with those signs. The three earth signs are Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo. I cannot get her image out of my mind as I go through this reading and so I’m putting this out there because it feels like a message. If someone wants ideas on how to get her attention and help, contact me at tarotofthemissing@gmail.com. I have several.

If law enforcement doesn’t think they have DNA, check the evidence again. Technology improves constantly. Because I am seeing that they have something to work with that will solve this case. I just don’t know what it is.

Judgement is showing me that there is or will be a time of reckoning for whoever is directly involved in the murder. What I mean by this is that something is going to come to light that will cause people to look back, reflect, and realize the answers were right there in front of them all along. Whether or not people realize it, law enforcement has enough to catch the person or people involved. It is showing up on the same row as the Queen of Pentacles reversed which tells me that somehow, she is a direct link to the evidence. So either she has evidence that she can and eventually will provide, or she has the skills and proficiency to take the evidence that already exists and use it to bring a resolution to this case.

The High Priestess is a powerful card to appear in this reading because it tells me that there are greater forces that want the truth known. People need to follow their intuition and their gut feelings because something or someone is trying to help them find the answers needed. There is some kind of guidance that is being given here.

The Three of Pentacles is reiterating that a strong foundation for finding the perpetrator (or perpetrators) is present. Hard work will pay off in this case. It might be time to put aside what everyone thinks they know and almost go back to the beginning and re-investigate everything. Check for DNA that was not found before. Find someone to run DNA that already exists – if that is the case. Think outside of the box. Interview people again. Relationships have changed and time has passed. People that were once reluctant to talk might now share new information.

The Two of Swords reversed shows me the delays that have occurred in getting to the truth. However, it is a card that warns of lies being exposed and the truth being revealed. Whoever did this might think they got away with it, but this reading says that you didn’t. They will catch you.

The last card is the current status of the primary person responsible for these murders. I cannot tell from the reading if there is more than one person so I will have to investigate that through another reading. However, the main person is outwardly demonstrating attributes associated with the Knight of Wands reversed. This is a person who comes across as impulsive, making what others see as reckless decisions. Perhaps the passage of several years has caused this person to feel somewhat arrogant in that with each passing day they feel safer. The Tower reversed shows me that they think they averted getting caught. However, this person doesn’t learn from their mistakes, and they can’t or won’t change their true nature.

To whoever murdered these girls: You’re going to get caught. It is completely unavoidable. You made too many mistakes and you left too much evidence.

Abby and Libby reading 2 – Traditional Manga tarot

Reading:

I asked the cards the above question. For the second reading, I saw that the King of Swords reversed was again used to represent the person who committed these murders. In the first reading, the card came up as his true and private self. In this one, because I asked how the person could be found, the card that I pulled in relation to the King of Swords reversed is meant to tell me where or how to find them.

The Five of Pentacles was pulled in connection with the above card. To understand the significance, I will give you a brief overview of the card. It is a card that can be interpreted a few ways in its upright position. In any traditional Rider-Waite deck, you can expect to see a building depicted on the card that has stained glass windows and resembles a church. The upright card shows two people who are walking by the church, but for whatever reason it is either not accessible to them or they are not considering it as a resource available to provide help. In this reading, the card is reversed – showing the opposite. It depicts someone who is – or at least presents themselves to be – someone closely linked to the concept of spirituality. The card is telling me that the person can be found in places of worship and may even suggest the person works in the capacity of a priest, minister, pastor, or other religious/spiritual type of leader. Or did this work previously. The other explanation is the person is a member of the congregation and is known to one or more members of the girls’ families.

The second main card shown in the row is the Queen of Swords. The last reading suggested the possibility of a female connection between the person/people who committed the murders and Abby and/or Libby (or their immediate family members). The Ace of Swords is a card depicting one’s truth or what a person knows and believes to be true. This woman is important, and she is one of the keys to solving this since she showed up in the first row of this particular reading. Being in the same suit as the King suggests the possibility of a link through work, family, or marriage.

The Nine of Wands reversed tells me that the person who did this is on the defensive. They have a mindset that is stubborn and rigid. In this person’s mind, they have been fighting a constant ongoing battle in relation to hiding who they are and hiding what they did. Since they present themselves one way, but are really another, the best way to bring out the true aspect of their King of Swords reversed identity is to put them in a proverbial corner and make them feel as though they are in a position where they have to defend themselves. It is under that kind of stress and pressure that the person’s real attributes will soon emerge.

In the first reading, the Three of Pentacles and the Two of Swords reversed came up. Here they are again. They are in the SAME positions – with the Three of Pentacles first, followed by the Two of Swords reversed. To find the person or people that did this, the cards are telling me that teamwork and collaboration are an absolute necessity. People need to share their information, their time, their resources, and anything else they have to put toward resolving this. Effort is needed to bring the truth to light. Again, it also points to a solid foundation in which the framework has already been built.

The Two of Swords reversed signifies the truth being revealed. It also suggests that delays have occurred for several reasons. First, people are looking at too much information and they are reaching out for even more. But again, investigators either have more than they realize, or they have evidence they haven’t known what to do with previously. They might be at a loss as to what direction to go in at this point. Check the evidence for DNA that was missed. If law enforcement already has DNA, but can’t match it to anyone, consider options like what I described above. People like CeCe have solved cold cases and the technique is mind-blowing.

Finally, the last card I pulled was the Ten of Pentacles reversed. This card is communicating that the person in question is likely experiencing financial hardships or familiar disputes. Money matters, and/or material possessions, are posing some kind of issue for him and it is not a minor one. He is going through a time that is unstable in this way and this added pressure will make it harder for him to hide some of the negative attributes that we have discussed that he hides from the public. The problem is that being under this pressure might also increase the chances of him victimizing someone else.

It’s really important that people put the time and resources into catching this person or these people. They do not react well to pressure and the possibility always exists that they have – or that they will – kill again.

Niqui McCown 1st Reading – Traditional Manga tarot

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. When/if I say that something happened, in any part of a reading description, I mean that is what I am interpreting from the cards, their positions, and other related factors.

Summary:

Marilyn Renee Nicole McCown (known as Niqui) disappeared on July 22nd of 2001 from Richmond, Indiana. The last place she was known to have been seen was at the Richmond Coin Laundry that was located near the 1100 block of South E Street. Normally, she was accompanied when she did her laundry. She went alone on this day though. She reportedly told her mom that a couple of men were bothering her outside of the laundromat. She made the decision to go back and get her clothing.

The last known camera footage of Niqui consisted of her putting clothing into her fiancé’s 1990 GMC Jimmy 4×4. She left the laundromat and did not appear to be in distress at that time.

Niqui had an eight-year-old daughter at the time of her disappearance. She also had plans to marry in approximately three weeks from the date that she vanished. Her family has worked tirelessly to keep her name and story alive in the hopes that one day they might finally have answers about what happened to Niqui.

The Reading:

At the time of Niqui’s disappearance she was feeling overwhelmed. She felt that she had too many things going on at once and was struggling to balance everything. The Two of Pentacles reversed is a card that suggests someone has too many balls in the air at once. The card also points to concerns about money or financial decisions.

The Four of Pentacles shows me a situation where either Niqui was experiencing financial insecurity, or someone in her immediate sphere of influence was worried about money. This card suggests a sense of stinginess and a situation where someone did not want to contribute their own resources toward something – or someone who was not contributing resources in a balanced way.

The Page of Pentacles reversed is showing me someone in her life that was acting irresponsibly and was basically an underachiever. This would have been a person who had opportunities to do more with their life, but for whatever reason they were not seizing them.

I pulled the Ten of Cups reversed, in relation to the Page card, and it is showing me that these financial issues – and the person represented by the Page of Pentacles reversed – had to do with her immediate home situation. The card is telling me that she had instability in her relationship and that it was a person she shared a home with. The troubling aspect of this card is that it suggests neglect and possible abuse. It also shows me a desire to “keep up appearances” which can mean that Niqui was not sharing all of the details of her home life with the people around her. At the time she disappeared, the card is showing significant disharmony in that home relationship. There were things she wasn’t telling everyone about the relationship and its status.

The Lovers reversed is reiterating to me that she was having problems with a romantic partner and there was a strong element of decision-making involved. The card links back up with the Ten of Cups reversed which shows me this was a romantic situation that was current and close to home – meaning it all suggests this was not someone far removed from her family life, and it was not someone who suddenly re-emerged from her past.

The Four or Swords is showing me that Niqui was hesitant to make solid decisions at the time of her disappearance. I don’t know if she communicated any of this to her fiancé, but she seemed to want to step back a little and see what happened. She felt overwhelmed emotionally and she felt she needed some down time to think. Multiple cards are showing her as having been in a high stress state. All of this suggests that there was more going on in her life than people might have realized.

The Five of Swords is a conflict/confrontation card. It shows me a situation where there were one or more significant disputes. It is linked to the cards above it (the Page of Pentacles reversed and the 10 of Cups reversed). The implication of that linkage is that there is a possibility she or her fiancé wanted to delay or call off the wedding. There is also an intimidation factor with this card when it comes up in these types of readings that suggests that one of the people involved in the conflict was being aggressive and behaving in a hostile way. Bullying behavior is the best way I can describe it.

The Three of Wands is a card that can depict a few scenarios here. The first is that it can represent someone who is responsible for Niqui’s disappearance that wanted to be able to move on. It can also depict someone who is seeking freedom. Sometimes it is a literal travel card in that someone leaves their home or area to achieve it. It could represent Niqui’s hesitancy to decide about something important in her life because she had hopes that the problems would blow over.

But the Judgement reversed card is telling me the person was not successful in attaining the sense of freedom, or forward movement they sought, from a particular situation. This is a card that shows someone who makes the same mistakes repeatedly. It is someone who does not learn from the past and has a degree of self-awareness about this issue.

None of the cards show Niqui in a position where she would have chosen to disappear or start over somewhere. The Knight of Wands reversed is telling me who is responsible for what happened to her. The person was someone who had the capacity to be violent and abusive. It was someone with a short temper who got jealous easily.

The High Priestess reversed is a card that tells me there are details about this whole situation that are not widely known. The person in the Knight of Wands reversed position did one or more things to create a sense of confusion about what happened. Also, they are coming across as adept at hiding their true motives and intentions from those close to them – including those in a romantic relationship with them.

The cards are communicating a situation that was “close to home” so to speak. On an intuitive level, it appears that some of the little evidence they have – such as the car or whatever else – was staged in a manner that was intended to suggest someone else was responsible for her disappearance. The cards seem really bent on communicating the close to home aspect of this.

Niqui McCown 2nd Reading – New Era Elements tarot

Reading:

I decided to do a six-card reading using the New Era Elements deck to see if I could find out anything additional about who was responsible for Niqui’s disappearance. The deck is darker than traditional ones and sometimes seems to dig a little deeper into these cases.

The Seven of Water reversed reiterates that Niqui was feeling overwhelmed by her situation and the choices she was facing. This card, in this particular deck, suggests a desire not to face the facts about something or someone. The card is one that shows a person engaging in wishful kind of thinking – ignoring things they know deep down they shouldn’t.

The Ten of Water shows me that she wanted to make decisions that would bring her a sense of peace. This card corresponds with the Lovers reversed in the prior reading which suggested that Niqui appeared to be in a situation where she felt she needed to make a choice. However, she was reluctant to make one too quickly.

The Hanged Man in the New Era Elements deck has a somewhat darker meaning in that is shows someone who has become resigned to their fate. The situation a person is experiencing has culminated into a crisis and they are not simply trying to endure it. It can denote a sense of passivity and waiting. The card in this deck also shows someone who found themselves in a situation where they felt helpless.

The Sun reversed tells me the person involved is self-absorbed. They are a narcissist. Such a person is shallow and adept at presenting situations in a way that favors them. The closer a person is to a narcissist, however, the more they begin to see of the real person that most people don’t experience. Unfortunately, the Sun reversed in this reading may also represent Niqui’s physical death since the upright version represents life and vitality.

The Two of Fire reversed shows me there was a confrontation but that it was pointless. It suggests one person in the situation wanted to take a step back and that this prompted the other person to come at the problem or argument more aggressively.

The Son of Fire reversed shows me the same person that the above reading did in the Knight of Wands reversed position. This is the equivalent card. It shows someone who is overly aggressive, reckless, and feels the need to have other people validate them. It supports the notion that the individual has narcissistic tendencies or is a narcissist. The problem is that on the surface, this person can (or could) come across as charismatic. This is someone who would have enjoyed adventure and who would have felt impatient with people that did not move at the same pace.

The Three of Air reversed shows me someone who is prone to being overly sensitive. Small things can set this person off if they feel it is an attack on who they are or their character. In this deck, this card also suggests there is a difficult and painful truth that people need to face about this individual. When they do – if they haven’t already – they will likely feel a strong sense of betrayal.

If what the cards are showing is correct, the key to finding Niqui lies with the person responsible for her disappearance. This is someone who did not learn lessons from their past and thus probably continued to show the same cycles of behavior with other people. This is not necessarily to say they ever caused another disappearance, but there should be people who have gotten close to this individual over the years who may have heard or been told pieces of information. The truth is not lost or completely unattainable here.

As always, please do not take any of the information described in the readings as fact until or unless details are proven. My hope is that somehow Niqui is alive. No matter what, keep fighting for answers as a resolution is desperately needed.

Iwona Wieczorek reading – Dark Angels tarot

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. When/if I say that something happened, in any part of a reading description, I mean that is what I am interpreting from the cards, their positions, and other related factors.

Summary:

Iwona Wieczorek was 19 years old when she went missing on July 16th or 17th of 2010. She had gone to Sopot to attend a party with a friend. She was last captured on CCTV in Gdansk Jelitkow – a location that is described as being about 20 minutes away from her home.

Iwona enjoyed going out with her friends to party and let off steam. On the evening of July 16th, Iwona and her friend Adria were invited to a party that wasn’t too far from where she lived. Both were seen leaving together. They were planning to go to a club with three men. Iwona is said to have felt somewhat uncomfortable with going because she did not really know the men they were going with. However, she agreed to go to a place called the Dream Club.

After several hours, Iwona had some kind of argument or altercation with the people she had gone to the club with. She was described as no longer being interested in remaining at the club and so she left at about 3:35 am. She was caught on video footage walking barefoot down the nightclub strip. She was by herself and holding her high heels.

She seemed to be heading in the direction to go home. However, her phone was dying. She texted her friend and her mother that she was heading home. Iwona expressed to her friend that she was unhappy with having to leave alone. She felt that Adria should have supported her, as her friend, and left with her. Iwona is said to have worked it out with Adria via phone and the two agreed that Iwona would go to Adria’s house to spend the night. Iwona texted her mom to let her know the plan. This is described as one of the final messages she sent.

CCTV footage captured Iwona walking down Seaside Boulevard at 4:12 am. This is the last known footage to have recorded her.

Adria had returned home and said she left her keys outside, but Iwona never showed up to her house. Iwona’s family found it difficult initially to get assistance with finding her. She remains missing to this day.

The Reading:

The Knight of Cups reversed is showing me that Iwona was in a position where someone took notice of her in an unhealthy way. It represents a masculine energy or person who is dishonest, moody, and causes or brings trouble. This can also represent someone who is a narcissist. Most importantly, this person presents themselves as something they are not.

I pulled the Page of Pentacles reversed in relation to the Knight of Cups reversed, along with the Two of Pentacles. So what I’m seeing here is the offering of a choice or an option. The person in the Knight reversed position was not in a good frame of mind, though that may not have been unusual for them. They were the kind of person who wanted to see results without putting in the work. There is an element to them that reads as they were looking for easy money. I don’t know if this is a general description, or if this pertains to their motive on this night/day. The Two of Pentacles element is like an offer of some type. It could be an exchange – a you give me this and I will give you something in return, type of thing.

The Seven of Swords tells me that Iwona felt defensive in response to this person. I would equate it to a gut feeling that something isn’t right. The card presents someone in a position where they are standing their ground, ready to defend themselves or those around them. She would have been concerned about this person and their intentions – ready for a fight, basically.

The Page of Cups reversed tells me that a factor impacting her decision making was that Iwona was in a fragile and emotionally vulnerable state when she encountered this person. Her guard might have been down more than usual. Also, she was probably feeling uneasy about her prospects of getting home. It was early morning, and it was dark. Iwona was attempting to get home by herself, and it is said she had about 6 kilometers to go. That is almost four miles. The Wheel of Fortune was pulled in relation to this card, and it signifies an impending change that is about to occur in the lives of those directly impacted by this situation. It is showing Iwona as a victim of circumstance. Wrong place, wrong time.

The Six of Swords reversed is not a good indicator for Iwana. This is a card that conveys the message: trouble is coming or trouble is here. It can signify a situation where a person is literally or figuratively trapped. The person has no where to run. It can sometimes indicate drowning.

Justice seems to appear in the middle of readings where the cards want to deliver a message to the person or people responsible for whatever has happened. The card reminds that karma is a real concept that no one escapes. The scales of justice always come into balance – one way or the other. This person (or people) might think they are an exception, but this card says they are not. It also suggests that investigators might have more evidence than they realize that points to this person or it will be forthcoming.

The Hanged Man shows that this case is at a point where it seems as though it is in limbo to some degree. Perhaps investigators are unsure of what way to go with the evidence or where to look for new evidence. Some valuable time was initially lost in this investigation, but that does not mean it can’t be solved. The cards are expressing that this period of waiting is a part of the final resolution process. Sometimes it takes time for everything to fall into its right place. The Justice card is telling me that someday, it will.

The cards are not telling me whether Iwona is deceased. The Justice component of the reading worries me because it feels like someone overcame her will and did something that was against the law. Since Iwona has not been found, it suggests a tragic outcome. Iwona was someone who had inner courage and bravery – perhaps more than a lot of people realized or gave her credit for having. She was a compassionate person, and she would hope that others would treat her similarly. Fairness and balance were important to her. She would not have been someone to give in easily to her fate and the cards are suggesting that her will – in this regard – might be the reason there is more evidence than people realize.

The key to solving her case is teamwork. People need to pool their energy and resources for this one. It is important not to give up. There is evidence out there and it will take them down the right path. It just may take a lot more work to uncover than people hoped. The answers are absolutely there. One thing the cards are telling me is there is a need to collaborate and share information. There are different types of people involved in solving her case. They all have pieces to the puzzle. Come together and share them. It will show you what really happened to her.

Finally, the Magician reversed is someone who lies, manipulates, and deceives. It came at the end of the reading and so it suggests to me that there was or is someone involved in her case who – for whatever reason – is not really committed to solving it. I don’t know what the motive is. I don’t even dare speculate. However, this person is an impediment, and they are probably in a high enough position that they can create obstacles for the people who genuinely want to find Iwona. This person creates illusions that point people in the wrong direction. They use their skills and their talents and their position to accomplish this.

One thing to consider is the possibility that somehow, in some way, the person responsible has inserted themselves into the investigation. Maybe they helped search. Maybe they offered misleading information. Something.

The people who want to solve this disappearance must come together to bring forth the answers. I am speaking entirely on intuition here, but I think this was someone that was either completely unknown to her or someone she had known for an extremely short time (i.e. had met that evening/morning). It does not feel like it was someone well known to her.

Ultimately, I have no way to know for sure what happened and I always hope for a positive resolution.
