Kyle Leblanc was 31 years old when he was last seen on December 31st of 2020. He is said to have lived in Saint John in New Brunswick, Canada.

Question: Who or what caused Kyle’s disappearance?

Row 1
Queen of Cups (reversed) – The Wheel – Emperor (reversed)
Card pulled for the Queen of Cups (r): 8 of Swords (reversed)

Row 2
4 of Cups (reversed) – Hierophant – 8 of Cups

Row 3
10 of Pentacles (reversed) – Page of Wands (reversed) – Strength
Card pulled for the Page of Wands (r): Ace of Cups (reversed)

The meaning behind the cards in this first reading is going to depend on whether Kyle disappeared willingly, and on his own, or whether someone else caused it. I’ll provide both breakdowns and then my hope is the second reading will provide a clearer picture of which one is the most likely here.

The first card is the Queen of Cups reversed. The card pulled in connection with it is the Eight of Swords (reversed). Scenario one is that someone caused his disappearance. Scenario two is that he caused his own (either willingly or unintentionally). For scenario one, this combination is showing me a woman who did something to get out of what she perceived to be a bad situation in which she felt trapped. The Queen could refer to either male or female, but the energy is female, and it comes across as an adult. In its reversed position, this is a person who is behaving in ways that emphasize the more negative aspects of this court card. This is someone who – at least at the time this all happened – probably would have come across as very emotional and sensitive to the things people said to or about them, someone who was possibly depressed, and someone who was perceived as emotionally immature.

So either this person, depicted in the first card, caused Kyle’s disappearance, or Kyle disappeared on his own for reasons linking back to this person.

The Wheel shows a change of luck for the person the reading is about – at least in the beginning. If the person depicted by the card caused Kyle’s disappearance, then it is suggesting that individual benefited from it in terms of their luck or situation changing for the better (or at least, that might have been their belief at the time). By contrast, if Kyle was primarily responsible for his disappearance, through his own actions, then it was his luck that appeared to improve for a short time.

The Emperor reversed is a father-type figure. While a person in this position is not necessarily a literal father (in general), it is typically someone in a position of authority or someone who has a degree of power. The reversed position shows someone who is controlling and could embody a range of harsh traits or characteristics. If Kyle’s disappearance was caused by someone else, then it suggests some kind of second person involvement. It doesn’t have to mean they directly contributed to what happened, but minimally they would have known about it early on.

The above card makes less sense if no one else was directly involved in Kyle’s disappearance. It still has the same meaning in terms of the type of person it represents, but it then becomes far less clear what role this person played in all this.

Whoever was involved – someone other than Kyle, or Kyle himself – viewed their escape from the other person as a positive occurrence. Previously they felt trapped and hopeless, but they believed they got out of that situation. That is true in either scenario, but if it pertains to Kyle then I would expect the situation to look a little like this. Kyle had some kind of relationship (doesn’t even have to be a romantic one) with the person depicted by the Queen. It caused him to feel trapped and he wanted to escape. He did escape, or at least put distance between himself and that person, and things looked up for a time. If someone else caused his disappearance than those meaning apply to that person and not Kyle. I know this is confusing, but I haven’t gotten a card that has me leaning in a particular direction yet.

The Hierophant could have a lot of meanings. It is a card of tradition and can at times indicate a marriage. It can also be someone seeking forgiveness for something.

The Eight of Cups is a card that shows a person as walking away from something that is not beneficial to them. It can be a situation that was harmful, or it can just be a person or situation that is no longer serving them for the better.

The Ten of Pentacles shows the person experienced some kind of significant financial hardship or was possibly fighting over money. It can also indicate a divorce. I have no idea what Kyle’s relationships status was when he disappeared so if it pertains directly to him, I don’t know which meaning makes the most sense.

The Page of Wands reversed is often a card depicting delays related to either work or one’s romantic life. The Ace of Cups (reversed) can be pregnancy issues or a canceled celebration. Basically, something happened or was delayed that caused problems. An example (it is just an example) is if two people get engaged and then someone suddenly calls it off or delays it because they don’t want or dare to cancel it outright. The reversed Page is definitely adding a dynamic to this as well, which is impulsiveness and a lack of patience.

Strength is usually a positive card. It shows someone who is drawing on their inner strength to get beyond problems or obstacles. It can sometimes indicate there is someone behind the scenes who is pulling the strings with regard to something. I don’t see that meaning as often as the first one, but I’m just putting it out there.

Question: What circumstances caused Kyle’s disappearance?

Row 1
Devil (reversed) – The World (reversed) – 6 of Swords

Row 2
Page of Pentacles (reversed) – High Priestess (reversed) – 3 of Pentacles
Card pulled for the Page of Pentacles (r): King of Pentacles (reversed)
Card pulled for the King of Pentacles (r): The Fool

Row 3
Page of Swords – Ace of Wands – Temperance
Card pulled for the Page of Wands: 7 of Wands (reversed)

The first card is the Devil reversed. This can be a card indicating that someone is working toward overcoming an addiction, or a vice of some kind, and attempting to gain control over their life. It’s interesting that both readings started out with a card indicating this type of intent. Now, since I know for sure that Kyle is the direct subject of this reading, it makes sense that it would apply to him.

The World reversed shows an incomplete cycle so it’s coming across like the intent was there, and he may have taken steps toward that goal, but he did not achieve it. In this context, next to the Devil reversed, this is telling me what he wanted to accomplish and it’s saying that he did not fully achieve it.

The Six of Swords comes up when someone has moved past a major upheaval in their life – it can be a single event, or it can be ones that have been ongoing – and they are moving away from it and toward something calmer. It can denote a sense of healing from something or beginning that process at least.

It’s like Kyle was making progress toward something positive and then was stopped from progressing further. The Page of Pentacles reversed can indicate a message or person. If a person, it is usually a younger one or it is someone who is behaving like a child. When it pertains to news, it isn’t good news. It usually relates to finances, material matters, and/or work.

The news was either about, or in reference to, the King of Pentacles (reversed). If a person, this is someone very focused on money and/or material matters. They don’t even have to have money since in the reversed position it could point to a situation where someone is broke, has spent well beyond their means, or gambles. It’s showing a negative financial situation for someone involved that comes across as male energy and an adult. The Fool, pulled in connection with this King card, shows someone as having made a risky – and potentially naïve – decision. They wanted to try something new, and it was a situation with a lot of uncertainty.

The High Priestess reversed is telling me there’s a lot of secrets surrounding whatever the Page, King, and Fool card are presenting. There is also a sense of betrayal and hidden agendas. So what people close to this whole situation see right now is not likely a full representation of what was happening.

The Three of Pentacles is either someone embarking on learning a new trade and/or a collaboration that seemed to be going well at the time. It’s a card that comes up when someone is recognized for having worked hard too sometimes. So did he have some kind of collaboration or work-type thing going that eventually went wrong? All of that factors in, but I’m not sure how since there are multiple possibilities.

The Page of Swords is another card that can indicate messages regarding delays or problems that have come up suddenly. The Seven of Wands shows the person who received it as giving into it. It is coming across as a last straw type of deal where this marked the point in which someone felt they no longer had any control over something.

But the next two cards are interesting because the Ace of Wands is a new beginnings card and it’s coming up in its upright form. Temperance is a card of balance and harmonious relationships. Both cards contrast considerably with many in the other two readings since they are positive and appearing near the end of the reading.

Because I don’t have any information beyond the mere basics (date of disappearance, name, location), it is best for someone who has more to evaluate the first reading to determine what scenario makes sense. No matter what, there is at least one person (probably two) who were involved in these circumstances. Either Kyle caused his own disappearance, anything that may entail, or at least one person (Queen of Cups reversed) was directly involved in it. I wish that I could say with more of a degree of certainty which way this one falls, but I can’t. As always, this is a tarot reading. None of it is to be taken as fact, but I’m hoping some of the information might give someone close to Kyle some ideas on where to look or who might have answers.

Jamie Valdez

Disappearance: June of 2020
Location: Booneville, Arkansas

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. Tarot reading is an art and not a science.

Jamie Valdez disappeared in June of 2020. Though the exact date of his disappearance is unclear, it has been reported that his vehicle was found abandoned in Sugar Grove, AR on June 17th of 2020. His family, and his wife, have not heard from him since.

Question: Who or what caused Jamie’s disappearance?

Row 1
Empress (reversed) – Knight of Swords – Hierophant (reversed)
Card pulled for the Knight of Swords: 6 of Wands

Row 2
The Moon – Page of Swords (reversed) – 8 of Pentacles
Card pulled for the Page of Swords (r): 9 of Pentacles (reversed)

Row 3
7 of Wands – 5 of Wands – Justice

The first thing this reading is conveying to me is that there was trouble in his home life – or home environment. It can sometimes point to a pregnancy issue or an unwanted pregnancy, though this is not always necessarily the case. It can also show someone in a relationship where one person is overbearing. The Empress reversed shows the state of his home life as a prominent issue/contributor.

The Knight of Swords is showing me a person consistent with a younger male adult. It could be an older male, but if it is then it is someone who acts or behaves – on mental and emotional levels – as though they are younger. This is a person who speaks what is on their minds. They come across at times as loud and opinionated. They may show tendencies to speak or act impulsively. It can also be a person who kind of goes against the norm, or against the flow. The Six of Wands shows that this person likely seeks recognition and attention. They might even be someone who gets it – for reasons that are not made clear here.

The Hierophant reversed can go a few ways. Since it is in the first row, combined with the Empress reversed, then the likely meaning pertains to Jamie’s marriage. It can be indicative of problems or a separation – or plans and/or discussion about these kinds of matters. It can also refer to someone who is a nonconformist and goes against tradition. So it does not necessarily pertain to his marriage, but there are other cards in this reading that seem to suggest a higher probability that it does.

The Moon tells me that things with Jamie – and in particular, quite possibly his home life – were not as they seemed. This card comes up in these types of readings when there has been deception concerning the narrative given about what happened or may have happened to someone. It also points to hidden dangers and potential secret enemies. I will probably have a better idea what else this refers to after the second reading.

The Page of Swords reversed is showing me that there was a message sent, or something that was said (or texted, emailed, etc.) that was negative and pertained to Jamie. I don’t know if he received this message or if it was merely about him and it kicked off the circumstances. Because it is reversed, I would expect the intent behind it to be more malicious, vindictive, or intended to cause harm (emotional or otherwise) than I would see if this particular card appeared in its upright position. The Nine of Pentacles reversed, pulled in connection with the Page reversed, is telling me that the message likely pertained to something material or financial in nature. There is also a possibility of a theft or some adverse event.

Because the question is seeking to find out who or what caused Jamie’s disappearance, the Eight of Pentacles could refer to different people. If Jamie disappeared on his own accord, then it refers to him. If one or more people were involved in his disappearance, then it refers to at least one of those people. The card comes up when a person works in a particular trade or has an area of expertise. Sometimes it comes up to communicate that a person has started a new job or has become self-employed in some capacity. I don’t know precisely what this means here, but it might make much more sense to someone who knows more about Jamie and the people in his life.

The Seven of Wands shows a situation where someone is defensive about something. Again, who it pertains to depends on who is involved here. But it is linked to the message or interaction discussed previously and it shows someone as getting upset about it – feeling defensive and potentially as though they are being backed into a corner. In some cases, it can refer to a person as being under attack or being blamed or accused of something.

The Five of Wands shows that there was ongoing conflict between Jamie and whoever else was involved. This reading does not make me feel as though this is a matter of Jamie disappearing on his own. I can’t completely rule that out – because of the nature of these readings and the potential for error – but on an intuitive level that is not how this situation is coming across. So with this card, it is showing me conflict, fighting, and there could be an underlying degree of competitiveness that comes with this card – or clashes of ego.

Justice really gets my attention here because this card suggests that someone has been wronged and that the situation will eventually have a just outcome. Basically, if someone did something to Jamie and hurt him or something that crosses ethical or legal bounds then this card is communicating that the appropriate person or people will be held accountable. I do not have an idea of when or what circumstances will bring that about. I will say there is an air of impulsiveness and reactionary conflict to all this – that I am picking up on – so if something really bad happened here then I highly doubt it was well planned.

Since the Knight of Swords is a person who tends to talk a lot and is opinionated, the odds that they have or will say too much to someone about what has happened are really good. This is the kind of person I would expect to have time work against them in that the more comfortable they become that they will not get in trouble, the more likely they are to start saying things that contradict former statements or that outright provide more details about what really transpired here.

Question: What circumstances caused Jamie’s disappearance?

Row 1
7 of Wands – Death – 4 of Swords (reversed)

Row 2
10 of Wands – 8 of Cups (reversed) – 4 of Wands

Row 3
6 of Wands – 5 of Wands – 4 of Cups

The Seven of Wands came up before, but in this reading, it refers to the circumstances surrounding Jamie’s disappearance. It still carries the same meaning. Someone was – of felt they were – under attack or blamed for something. It shows someone as being defensive and trying to stand their ground, so to speak. It can also point to someone who is behaving in a way that is territorial. It is not unusual – in missing person’s readings – for a card like this to represent the use of force or an attack.

Death is a card that is often assumed to represent a literal and physical death. However, typically it does not (there are exceptions, and it depends on surrounding cards). In this case, it seems to convey a situation that changed dramatically for some reason. It is as though there was some kind of major upheaval that occurred.

The Four of Swords reversed is showing someone who has been in the process of finding mental strength, and perhaps emerging from some difficult or dark times. My understanding is that Jamie had some addiction problems at one time, but this card supports what has been reported about how that was a part of his past.

The Ten of Wands shows someone who felt overburdened and extremely stressed out. It is someone who felt they were carrying the brunt of the responsibilities and that whatever situation pertains to all of this felt like an uphill battle. But it shows someone as continuing to try to overcome those difficulties and move forward or make progress.

The Eight of Cups reversed is showing me that Jamie was in a situation that he probably knew he should leave or break free from, but for emotional reasons he just couldn’t do it. Another aspect of this card is pretending that a person is happy or in a decent place in their life – when they are really having a difficult time. Some of this stems from a fear of abandonment and a reluctance to move on from something that is known and familiar.

The Four of Wands can represent some kind of gathering or celebration. It can represent teamwork. It can also represent some pride in one’s success or accomplishments. It’s very difficult to say what this refers to specifically here.

The Six of Wands is showing someone as getting positive recognition for something. It is immediately followed by the 5 of Wands, which makes me wonder if this was a trigger or something that might have created a sense of competition between two or more people. The Five of Wands came up in the first reading so it’s evident there was some ongoing conflict going on here. Another aspect of the Five of Wands is that it shows people as having different agendas. People are in conflict because they want different things, or they have different beliefs. It’s indicative of ongoing opposition.

The Four of Cups represents missed opportunities and disillusion. It can convey a sense of apathy or an overall negative viewpoint.

Question: What else do we need to know about Jamie’s disappearance to understand what happened to him?

Row 1
The World – The Fool (reversed) – The Sun (reversed)

Row 2
King of Wands – 6 of Cups (reversed) – 7 of Swords
Card pulled for the King of Wands: Four of Wands

The World shows a cycle as being completed. In these readings, there are two main reasons this card comes up. The first is to communicate that the case will be solved – the answers will come. The second is sometimes to show me that a person might not be alive. I really cannot stress enough that I don’t feel confident using these readings to determine if someone is alive or deceased. Once in a while they come across clearly this way, but that is rarely the case.

The Fool reversed shows me someone involved here who acted recklessly and exercised poor judgement. There is a sense of intention with regard to this that points to something that exceeds the seriousness of a person walking away from their life on their own. It can also depict someone who behaves irrationally.

The Sun reversed shows there is some degree of blindness to the truth here. Also, it could be interpreted as the literal opposite of its upright meaning, which is essentially: vitality, positivity, freedom, etc.

The King of Wands and the Four of Wands is throwing me because it can be interpreted in two extremely different ways. So before I get to that, the Six of Cups reversed might show that there are past issues that played a role in all this – perhaps someone was abused as a child, or someone was working on resolving those issues. I’m not sure. But it typically shows someone as progressing beyond those types of problems and trying to move forward.

The Seven of Swords is a person, or people, who has done something bad and gotten away with it. It can be more than one thing, but the main aspect of this card to understand is that the behaviors it conveys are not good ones and may include cheating, stealing, excessive lying, and manipulation. There is a sense of cunning that comes with this card. While I find that people this card is often attached to are on the impulsive side, they tend to have put thought into what they are doing and how they might get away with it. I’m not sure how to explain that better except to say it can be challenging to trip these people up – though possible.

In getting back to the King of Wands…I see there being two possible distinct possibilities. In my mind, one feels a lot more consistent with the overall impressions I got from these readings than the other. I am going to put them both out there with the hope that someone close to Jamie can ascertain which one makes the most sense and is the most consistent with what they personally know about this situation.

The first possibility is one I am not currently buying into. It is that Jamie disappeared on his own because responsibilities or problems got to be too much. There are a lot of cards that I feel contradict this possibility, but it is one I can’t completely discount because of the Four of Wands. Here’s the issue with that card. It has many different meanings, but one of them pertains to reunions and homecomings. So if Jamie disappeared on his own, then this suggests he will return. But that would mean that all of the other cards are merely communicating the contributing factors. This would mean the Seven of Swords would have to represent Jamie and I have to say that does NOT feel consistent with the feelings I have gotten about him throughout all of these readings. He’s not coming across as that kind of person to me. If that is true, and he isn’t that kind of person, then it becomes much easier to completely discount this possibility.

The second possibility is the one that intuitively makes more sense to me, and that is that he disappeared due to a conflict with someone else. The first reading suggests an adult male is involved and the third one does as well. If the adult male is not Jamie, then it is another person. All of this is linked to conflict he was having in his life and oppositional forces that he was up against. That is true, regardless of which possibility proves accurate. The Seven of Swords is one of many cards that has me leaning in favor of this possibility. I think there was one or more fights over something specific and that it may have either gotten out of hand, or someone might have done something they shouldn’t have. If another person is involved, then there is a possibility their identity would be revealed in connection to some kind of celebration (potentially a wedding or something along those lines) – at some point in the future (because of the two appearances of the Four of Wands). The appearance of Justice at the end of the first reading is another reason why this possibility makes much more sense to me.

Kristian Justice and Kaylah Hunter

Disappearance: 5/27/2014 (some sources say 5/24/2014)
Location: Detroit, Michigan

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. Tarot reading is an art and not a science.

In May of 2014, Kristian Dejuan Justice – who was born on October 2nd of 2013 – disappeared along with his mother, Alicia, and his half-sister Kaylah Nevaeh Hunter. Kaylah was born on November 8th of 2007 and was six years old at the time. A couple of weeks later, Alicia was found deceased and wrapped in a blanket in the basement of a vacant home. The two children remain missing.

Question: Who happened to cause Kristian Dejuan’s Justice’s disappearance?

Row 1
5 of Wands (reversed) – King of Pentacles (reversed) – The World
Card pulled for the King of Pentacles (r): Ace of Cups

Row 2
The Moon – 4 of Cups – Knight of Pentacles (reversed)
Card pulled for the Knight of Pentacles (r): 4 of Pentacles

Row 3
Queen of Swords – 9 of Pentacles – Queen of Cups
Card pulled for the Queen of Swords: Chariot (reversed)
Card pulled for the Queen of Cups: 8 of Cups

What the reading, as a whole, is showing me is that Kristian’s mother was trying to leave a bad relationship/situation. Her trying to get away from it completely – or perhaps expressing a desire to do so – seems to have set the male off that is represented by the King of Pentacles reversed. The Five of Wands reversed shows me a situation that becomes calm or peaceful – after a period or event of conflict. The King of Pentacles reversed is coming across as a man who was experiencing hardship financially – likely due to his own decisions and behaviors. I’m seeing this as a person who was likely unfaithful in his relationships and probably projected that on to other people – even in cases where the other person was faithful to the relationship.

The King of Pentacles reversed can present as a person who is extremely cold, ruthless, and cruel. I have a hard time believing that anyone that felt this man’s wrath came out on the other end unscathed – children included. The Ace of Cups, in connection with the King reversed card, suggests one of two possibilities. The first is that the motive behind Alicia’s murder was because the King reversed felt she was leaving him, or was trying to leave him, for another person. The second is that the King reversed wanted to get her out of his life so that it would pave the way for him to commit to another relationship that the cards are showing him as having begun prior to her murder.

The World shows everything coming full circle for Kristian, which I really do not take as a good sign with regard to his fate. I don’t ever like to outright say that I think someone is deceased, but the cards are not giving me a lot to work with in terms of finding ones that are more on the hopeful side.

The Moon shows that there is still a great deal of deception surrounding everything that happened here. The person responsible has continued to lie about his role and involvement. I don’t know enough about this case to know if he ever confessed to Alicia’s murder, but these cards are not showing him as coming clean about what happened to the children. The other thing that stands out to me is there is another male involved in all of this. It is likely someone who is a bit younger than the person in the King reversed position – or at least this is someone who has the mentality of someone who is younger than that person. This person has not been honest about what they know, or the extent of their involvement either. The Four of Pentacles is telling me that the main reason for this is they do not want to face the financial and material consequences.

The Four of Cups is a card that came before the Knight of Pentacles reversed and the Four of Pentacles. It shows me that there were more opportunities to get to the bottom of all this, earlier on when Alicia was discovered murdered. However, some of those opportunities are gone now and I am taking that to mean critical evidence that might have shown where the two children are.

So we have this second person who knows much more than they are admitting. Then on the third row, we have the Queen of Swords and the Chariot reversed which tells me there is likely a third person with information and/or involvement of some kind. I cannot get a clear view on what was going on with this person. I’m not necessarily getting the impression that this person helped commit a crime. She might have tried to assist Alicia or the children and got caught up in it all somehow. I’m really not sure. This part is not clear to me.

The Nine of Pentacles is showing me someone who has become independent and successful. I don’t know how this is related specifically, but maybe it is meant to help identify the female involved.

I am seeing the Queen of Cups as Alicia because the card pulled in connection with her is the Eight of Cups. This shows me someone who had recently left, or was in the process of leaving, a situation she knew was not serving her well. I’m seeing it as an abusive type of situation that she did not realize she was taking on when she first got involved with the man who killed her.

I don’t see the King of Pentacles reversed person as telling what they know and did. I think that answers will need to come from the person represented by the Knight of Pentacles reversed card. This person may have already shared some information, but I see him as downplaying the degree of his knowledge and the extent of his involvement.

Question: What happened to Kaylah Hunter?

Row 1
7 of Swords – King of Pentacles (reversed) – 6 of Swords (reversed)
Card pulled for the King of Pentacles (r): Magician (reversed)

Row 2
3 of Pentacles (reversed) – Temperance – King of Wands (reversed)
Card pulled for the King of Wands (r): Ace of Swords (reversed)

Row 3
9 of Wands – 2 of Swords – 8 of Cups (reversed)

The reading on Kaylah is showing me that the same primary person that was responsible for her brother’s disappearance, and her mother’s death, was responsible for what happened to her as well: the King of Pentacles reversed. As you can see, he came up in both readings. The Seven of Swords was the first card, and this shows that the person responsible was very deceitful – in pretty much every aspect of his life. He was not faithful in relationships. He was not honest. He was extremely manipulative. And he got (maybe still gets) away with a lot. People potentially underestimate what this man is capable of and the degree to which he can be cunning.

The King of Pentacles reversed came up with the Magician reversed. This shows me someone who conned and tricked people to get what they wanted. It also shows someone with a degree of intelligence and resourcefulness. This man can get other people to do his bidding for him by lying and manipulating them. He probably pulled several people into this mess who may still not have fully realized it yet.

The Six of Swords can have a dual meaning here. On one hand, it shows someone rocking the proverbial boat and standing their ground. I think that Alicia did this and tried to get away from this man. However, sometimes this card comes up when there has been a drowning or a situation where someone has been put into water. I’m not saying that’s what happened to Kaylah – because I do not know – but I’m putting it out there as a potential meaning.

The Three of Pentacles reversed shows that the man behind all this did involve other people and it did not go well. I don’t know if one of the people turned on him to save themselves or what. But something went wrong with that aspect of the situation. Temperance shows me as someone trying to balance the situation and escape from the conflict. The King of Wands reversed could be the same person who came up in the first reading in the Knight of Pentacles reversed position, but I am not sure about this. If not, then we have another man involved in some aspect of all this. That person has been incredibly dishonest also – as shown by the Ace of Swords reversed. The reversed positioning is someone hiding their truth. It’s also someone who made one or more really poor decisions with regard to all of this.

The Nine of Wands shows that there have been a lot of setbacks in this case and that there are people with information who are worn down. They might be more inclined to talk than they were before, but keep in mind if the worst-case scenario proves true about what happened to these two children, then anyone else with knowledge recognizes that the stakes are high. Maybe they could strike an immunity deal if they tell police what they know. I don’t know. But this whole thing is very dark and terrible.

The Two of Swords show that there are still people in denial about some aspects of this. I don’t know who this is pointing to – if it is referring to someone else with knowledge. It’s also a card that comes up when a person feels they have no optimal or good choices. Every decision they make could cause them serious problems. But that’s the main issue here, isn’t it? That people are much more worried about protecting themselves than letting the family of these children know what really happened to them.

The Eight of Cups reversed is showing me people living with a bad situation. They don’t want to take the risk of admitting the truth. It comes across like they are afraid they will be abandoned by people they care about or that the consequences will be significant. Which makes me really worry about the ultimate fate of these two kids. A minimum of two people know where they are or where they left them, is the best way I can put that.

Card pulled for the King of Wands: 9 of Pentacles

So I can tell you right now that the reading is conveying to me that this was a murder. This was not a suicide. I’ll get into that in more detail shortly, but I knew the answer to my question before I even processed the entire reading because of the appearance of the Empress at the end. It’s a tarot reading. It is not proof of anything, but this reading is a clear one to me. It is one of the more straight forward ones I have interpreted in recent times.

The Nine of Cups, appearing at the start of the reading, tells me that Rebecca was happy before the events that transpired with her boyfriend’s young son, Max. Max’s death was ruled as accidental – stemming from injuries he sustained inside the house while he was playing. So before Max became critically injured (I believe that he died within days of Rebecca’s death), Rebecca was happy. She felt she had a good life, she felt thankful for it, and things were going well.

The Ten of Cups really serves to emphasize that Rebecca had a happy home life. Her relationship with Jonah appears to have been solid and it is not reading as a dysfunctional situation/household/relationship. It shows her as having been invested emotionally and that she had a desire to contribute to a positive environment.

The Four of Swords shows me that at the time of Rebecca’s death, she was definitely stressed and feeling overwhelmed. She was in a state where she was trying to cope with everything that was happening, and she was trying to gather the energy she felt she would need to help others do the same.

The Seven of Swords reversed shows that the person responsible for her death – and it is not Rebecca – is someone who was or is two-faced, a pathological liar, and a whole host of other unpleasant descriptors. The person who murdered her should have been apprehended and held criminally liable quickly, but it seems that did not happen.

The person responsible was either someone known or related to Jonah or Rebecca. They were seeking a new start – particularly as far as jobs and money were concerned. The Ace of Pentacles shows me this. The card is also suggesting that financial or material factors played a role in protecting the person or people involved (you will understand why I am putting “people” out there as a possibility soon).

The King of Swords reversed represents the person who actually committed the crime. The corresponding card is Strength reversed. It communicates that this person made Rebecca feel helpless and victimized. This person is directly responsible. The King of Swords reversed is a person who manipulates situations and people – primarily through their words or methods of communicating.

The Six of Pentacles reversed shows a scenario where the person mentioned above was abusing or taking advantage of someone else’s generosity. I don’t know all the specifics on that aspect, but there was an imbalance in terms of financial or material resources. And this factors into all of this, though I don’t yet understand exactly how.

The King of Wands, in its upright position, is making an appearance before the reading is finished and I am not sure if this is because this person is involved in some way or if it is because they have information or knowledge that would expose the person who committed the murder. The Nine of Pentacles, pulled in combination with the King, shows me someone who is doing well financially and is self-reliant. They had, or have, a good amount of financial or material freedom is how I would describe it. It reads like it might be Rebecca’s boyfriend, but I’m not in a position to say for sure. Because I don’t know, and this reading is not providing full clarity here.

The Empress is a card that I often get at the end – or close to the end – of readings where a murder has occurred. Before I started publishing readings, I spent a lot of time practicing on cases that had already been solved – particularly ones I knew little about before I did the readings. Then I would go back and see what interpretations were right and try to learn from the ones that I got wrong. I refer to those as after-the-fact readings because they really only serve to help me understand what specific cards are likely to mean in readings where the answers have not yet been uncovered. This card, combined with other give-away cards pointing to murder, is how and why I feel confident saying that Rebecca did not cause her own death. This was not a suicide. Another person caused her death and it was deliberate.

Dylan Ehler

Disappearance: 05/06/2020
Location: Truro, Nova Scotia

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. Tarot reading is an art and not a science.

Dylan Ehler disappeared from his grandmother’s yard on May 6th of 2020. He was 3 years old.

Question: Who or what caused Dylan’s disappearance?

Row 1
9 of Pentacles – Strength (reversed) – King of Wands
Card pulled for the King of Wands: The World

Row 2
5 of Swords (reversed) – The Sun – High Priestess

Row 3
10 of Wands – Knight of Swords (reversed) – 8 of Wands
Card pulled for the Knight of Swords (r): The Magician

The first thing I can see about Dylan’s disappearance is that it happened very quickly. Events unfolded rapidly. The first two cards support the claim that he was under the grandmother’s care (Nine of Pentacles can represent a mature and/or older female). Strength reversed shows Dylan as having been in a vulnerable or helpless position.

The King of Wands is the third card. The card pulled in connection with this one is the World. The King card is throwing me a little because it suggests knowledge about, or involvement in, Dylan’s disappearance on the part of an adult male. The World is a card showing the completion of a cycle – whether it be a life or something else. It was pulled for the King card and so it pertains to them and/or their role in all of this.

The Five of Swords reversed is a card that can carry two conflicting meanings. The first is that it can represent a resolution to conflict. However, the second is that it can refer to an escalation of violence. If a person is directly involved and caused Dylan’s disappearance (versus a situation where he wandered away and drowned), then this card could point to revenge or escalating violence. If a crime has been committed, this card points to it being solved eventually – possibly because the person confesses, surrenders, or is apprehended another way.

The Sun can mark the end of a struggle. It can also indicate success at achieving goals. A factor that makes these cards especially difficult to read is the question mark concerning whether this was an accidental drowning or if he was taken. If Dylan was indeed taken, then it could suggest success in terms of the person achieving their goals. If not, then it’s meaning is much harder to pinpoint here.

The High Priestess is a card pertaining to intuition and sacred types of knowledge. In these readings, it can indicate that guidance is being given regarding what has happened in a particular situation. If there are people close to the case who are intuitive, or have strong gut feelings, it makes sense to listen to them and see where they lead. It’s also a card that indicates there is still a sense of mystery surrounding this situation.

If the King of Wands does represent a person that is involved in this then it’s showing someone who is over-burdened and stressed at this point. This would also be a person who feels extremely restricted and like they are dealing with more than they can handle. The meaning of every single card in this reading depends entirely on whether he died accidentally, or someone took him.

The Knight of Swords reversed is showing me someone who has younger adult energy who is using whatever resources they can to find Dylan. This person is viewed negatively by some people, and he has a difficult time expressing himself well, which seems to add to the problem. However, this is a person who is trying to find answers. The Magician suggests that this person may have gotten another person with more knowledge and skills to help them gather information. This person might end up being the key to understanding all this because they are actively seeking answers. The problem is they might be finding it hard to get people to help or cooperate because in the reversed position, there is this sense that people view him negatively. My thoughts keep going to the father so I feel this might be Dylan’s dad. Not sure. Whoever this is…keep seeking answers because at some point it feels to me like you will find them.

The Eight of Wands reiterates that everything happened quickly. The sequence of events unfolded fast, and time was of the essence. Time was lost and I’m seeing that as having been a huge impediment to Dylan having been found. The clock was really ticking on this one. I hate to say this, but if the response had been quicker and more aggressive then we all would probably have the answers by now.

Question: What happened to cause Dylan’s disappearance?

Row 1
The Star (reversed) – Queen of Pentacles (reversed) – 7 of Pentacles (reversed)
Card pulled for the Queen of Pentacles (r): 6 of Wands

Row 2
The Moon (reversed) – King of Wands – The Hermit (reversed)
Card pulled for the King of Wands: King of Pentacles
Card pulled for the King of Pentacles: 2 of Wands (reversed)

Row 3
The World – The Chariot (reversed) – 7 of Cups

The Star reversed shows a situation where wishes were unfulfilled and there is an overall lack of faith that there will be a happy ending here. I’m not saying this is the case. But this is the mindset surrounding this situation.

The Queen of Pentacles reversed is appearing with the Six of Wands. The attributes exhibited by someone represented by this card are not great ones. The Six of Wands is showing this person as wanting support and positive recognition.

The Seven of Pentacles reversed is a card that depicts a lack of growth or progress. It’s reading like some of the work needed to find Dylan was not expended quickly enough. It’s also suggesting a lack of resource allocation and follow through.

The Moon reversed is showing things are exactly as they seem here. Now that’s a tricky thing to say because a person’s perspective on what happened here is going to dictate how this card is interpreted. I’m reading this as this disappearance is potentially not as simple as Dylan wandered off and drowned. I’m not dismissing the possibility that he wandered off and then something happened to him; I’m saying that there are elements to all of this that have not come to light yet.

The next card is the King of Wands. It is the second time this one has appeared. This person is important. They must know what really happened because the readings are emphasizing this aspect. The King of Pentacles came up in connection with the King of Wands this time. The Two of Wands reversed came up in reference to both King cards. That is a lack of planning card. Did the person in the King of Wands position tell someone else what happened? Did they ask them to help cover something up? I can’t make sense of this.

It gets weirder with the Hermit reversed because this depicts the person as going into a state of seclusion and isolation. Or maybe this is someone that was already living this way – someone who is on the anti-social side and known to be an outsider in general.

The World has come up in both readings now, which does not feel like it bodes well. But like I always say, this is a tarot reading and is not meant to be taken as fact. The Chariot reversed is showing powerlessness and a lack of control over something. Sometimes it represents acts of aggression, but it just isn’t quite reading that way here. At times, it is literal and represents a vehicle. In the reversed position – if it is literal – then it points to a problem with the vehicle or an accident that occurred in relation to one.

The Seven of Cups is a wishful and illusionary thinking card. There are so many possibilities and theories circulating that the truth is easily lost. It’s also communicating that people are off track and letting their imagination run wild. Which can be a real problem if it causes people to overlook evidence or possibilities that do not fit their personal beliefs or theories.

I’m going to have to do another reading on this because I just can’t put these pieces together in a way that makes sense in my mind’s eye.

Question: What else do I need to know about Dylan’s disappearance?

Row 1
7 of Swords (reversed) – 4 of Pentacles – 8 of Swords

Row 2
8 of Wands (reversed) – Page of Swords – 9 of Swords
Card pulled for the Page of Swords: 5 of Pentacles

Okay, this one is interesting. The Seven of Swords reversed is another card showing me that the truth about what happened here will come out at some point. This card comes up when someone eventually confesses, or something happens that reveals what really happened. The Seven of Swords upright is someone getting away with something. The reversed is the opposite.

The Four of Pentacles shows me that there is a stinginess regarding the use of resources pertaining to this case. At the very least, it reads like an unwillingness to allocate enough money or resources toward finding Dylan only made the situation worse. This is just my interpretation but there have been a number of cards suggesting this.

The Eight of Swords is a card that shows someone as feeling trapped, victimized, or pushed into a corner. It can also depict someone who has been silenced – at least temporarily.

The Eight of Wands reversed is showing a delay in a resolution. While everything immediately surrounding Dylan’s disappearance happened quickly, resolving the situation is not unfolding at the same speed. It feels like this case might not have been handled that well.

There will be a message – perhaps in the form of a tip or someone relaying an important piece of information to someone else – that is going to be communicated regarding this case. It’s going to happen due to some kind of hardship someone will be experiencing – such as a divorce, a financial crisis, or something else that is significant enough to cause a real struggle. Though the message itself will be delayed in terms of timeliness, the method will be something quick (like a call, something stated in person, an email, a text, or something along those lines).

The Nine of Swords is showing someone experiencing mental anguish over this situation. It is a given that people who love Dylan would suffer and so this is more likely to point to whoever it is that has some kind of knowledge about, or role in, this boy’s disappearance.

I cannot confidently say that Dylan did not drown, though the appearance of the King of Wands twice is what really prevents me from feeling satisfied about this being an accident. It very well could be, but the readings are communicating there are missing pieces to this puzzle still.

None of the readings hint at the parents being involved. If anything, the Knight in the first reading might be Dylan’s father. I’m unsure because I don’t have the background on this case that I would need to figure out who might fill what roles. That was a sense I got though. What I would say to people is be careful about getting caught up in beliefs or theories that could point away from real evidence. In my heart and mind, after doing these three readings, I do not see the parents as involved. I don’t know why I feel like I need to keep saying this, but it’s really prominent in my mind.

One takeaway here is that the King of Wands person seems to be a key to finding out exactly what happened. I don’t know who this person is or why they are hiding what they know. But they know something critical to unraveling this and I don’t have a single clue as to who they are. I really can only tell you some of the people they are not (parents).

This one is really nagging at me. They all do, but this one has just taken hold. It’s like something in the universe wants this one resolved so that people can find peace. If someone thinks they know who this man might be, feel free to reach out to me. I feel like there has to be at least one person who has suspicions about this individual.

Harmony Montgomery

Disappearance: October of 2019
Location: Manchester, New Hampshire

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. Tarot reading is an art and not a science.

Harmony Montgomery is 7 years old. The last confirmed sighting was approximately two years ago. Like Elijah Lewis, who was found deceased in 2021 after disappearing for 6 months, Harmony’s disappearance has now come to the attention of police.

Question: Who or what caused Harmony’s disappearance?

Row 1
The Lovers – Tower (reversed) – 4 of Pentacles

Row 2
Magician (reversed) – Page of Pentacles – 7 of Wands
Card pulled for the Page of Pentacles: Ace of Pentacles (reversed)

Row 3
The Devil – King of Wands (reversed) – Queen of Cups (reversed)
Card pulled for the King of Wands (r): 2 of Pentacles
Card pulled for the Queen of Cups (r): 7 of Cups (reversed)

In response to the first question concerning who or what caused Harmony’s disappearance, the cards are showing me a couple. It is reading like an adult man and an adult woman. The Lovers indicates that there is likely a romantic type of relationship between the two people.

The Tower reversed suggests that something happened that was not planned out well in advance. Unlike the upright position, the reversed Tower comes with a sense of impending doom – as though whoever is involved has been waiting for the other shoe to drop with regard to all this. Whoever is involved doesn’t want to be held accountable.

The Four of Pentacles indicates that one or both people have some deep-seated issues going on. These issues extend to how the people maintain their finances and their home. It can point to people who are hoarders or who hold on to people or possessions obsessively at times.

The Magician reversed is showing me that one or both of these people con people or behave in criminal ways. They might try to play the system, so to speak. There are definitely some other issues at play – as evidenced by the appearance of the Devil on the last row – and so I would expect one or both people have some kind of serious addiction. It could be alcohol, drugs, etc.

Okay, so the next two cards I am reading based on meaning and intuition. The first is the Page of Pentacles, which I am seeing as representing Harmony. The card pulled in connection with the Page is the Ace of Pentacles reversed. I’m not taking that as a positive sign because it shows the people involved as feeling like Harmony was a financial burden. This is a tarot reading, and so as always, I caution against taking any of this as fact (without solid evidence backing it), but this card – combined with the meaning of the Four of Pentacles previously – is making it seem like these people were having money issues or wanted more money. There is a stinginess factor here that tells me that a possible scarcity of financial resources contributed to all of this happening.

I think financial and resource-related matters contributed in other ways too. For instance, it’s possible that Harmony was supposed to have been monitored by some kind of youth protection agency (I’m not saying she was, but I’m using this as an example here) and fell into the cracks due to a deficiency in financial and/or human resources. I’m getting that there were failures on more than one level here and I’m seeing a lack of money or resources as a major factor.

I don’t think it is a huge mystery – behind the scenes at least – as to who is responsible. I am getting from the Seven of Wands that these people are already on the defensive and are acting as though they are under attack. So if law enforcement has not found or communicated with them yet (and it honestly feels like they probably have or have at least talked to people who could relay messages to these two people) then these individuals know and understand that’s coming. They are delaying the inevitable as evidenced by this cards and the Tower reversed.

The Devil points to there being a lot of underlying issues at play. We could be looking at drug abuse, alcohol dependency, physical abuses, and on the list goes. The Devil is not a promising card in these readings. I can’t do anything with this card, or interpret it, in any way that is truly positive. There are definitely mental health issues surrounding this whole thing as well. Serious ones that were hinted at in other cards, like the Four of Pentacles (in the context of this reading).

The King of Wands reversed appears to represent the male figure. The Two of Pentacles shows this person has been responding to financial stress and has been trying to balance a range of issues or problems. The person knows they are in a dire or crisis type of situation, but they are still trying to focus and figure out options. This is a person who behaves recklessly and likely has a hot temper. A person represented in the reversed positioning of this card does not exhibit pleasant characteristics or qualities – let’s put it that way.

The Queen of Cups reversed is coming across as the other person involved. If they were not directly involved, then I would say they have knowledge. I don’t know if this is the other half of the couple that the Lovers point to. The Seven of Cups reversed is interesting because it shows this person as feeling trapped in their situation and who is avoiding facing reality. I don’t know if they are directly involved or if they just know/suspect what really happened.

Question: What circumstances caused Harmony’s disappearance?

Row 1
The Devil – 10 of Swords (reversed) – Queen of Swords
Card pulled for the Queen of Swords: Knight of Cups (reversed)
Card pulled for the Knight of Cups (r): Emperor

Row 2
4 of Pentacles – Page of Pentacles – 4 of Swords (reversed)
Card pulled for the Page of Pentacles: Queen of Cups (reversed)
Card pulled for the Queen of Cups (r): The Star

Row 3
4 of Cups – 4 of Wands – 6 of Pentacles (reversed)

The Devil reappeared in this reading as the first card. It’s telling me that there is some kind of vice or addiction that has contributed to events playing out in the way that they have. The Ten of Swords reversed is emphasizing there are mental health issues associated with one or more people involved. The issues are prominent enough that others were (or still are) aware they exist.

The Queen of Swords, Knight of Cups reversed, and the Emperor is an interesting combination that could be read a few ways. It seems like something got between the person in the Queen position and Emperor position that caused conflict to arise. The Knight of Cups reversed could represent a third person – who has a younger energy – that could have been a child of one or both people. It could also signify some kind of romantic situation that went bad. The Emperor is usually a father figure. I’m taking that to likely be Harmony’s father. I don’t know if the Queen of Swords is Harmony’s biological mother or what. I wish I had some background information on this case because then I might be able to say who fits in what roles here.

The Four of Pentacles showed up in the first reading and it made its appearance in this one as well. The card points to situations where someone is stingy with their money, can be obsessive about people or possessions, and feels a strong need to control financial or material aspects of their life. This is a card that can come up with people that hoard – for all of those reasons. It’s also a mental health card in that it reflects a mindset that is unhealthy, obsessive, and rigid.

The Page of Pentacles came up again in this reading. I could be totally wrong here, but I’m going to go out on a limb with this one and say that the two cards pulled in reference to the Page are implying that the female (Queen of Cups reversed) represents Harmony’s mother or someone who was acting as a mother-type figure when she disappeared. I kind of feel like the Queen of Swords is Harmony’s biological mom, so this Queen of Cups reversed is coming across as the same person discussed at the end of the last reading. The exact same card came up there. And the Star makes me think that Harmony viewed this person in a hopeful way. It seems like she had (or has, since I don’t know her fate for certain) some positive feelings for or about this person.

Okay, the last row is interesting. The Four of Cups shows regret and missed opportunities. The Four of Wands could depict a marriage or family type of celebration. The Six of Pentacles reversed is someone who is coming across as using money or material things to control another person or situation. Is this trying to clue me in that the two people mentioned in the first reading are married, or were married in the not-to-distant past?

I’ve said before that I don’t like to point fingers because these readings aren’t always completely accurate, and my interpretation of the cards is not always correct. However, I have a really strong feeling about who specifically is involved, and I don’t have a good feeling about the final outcome for Harmony. Here’s what I will say. There is one parent – a biological parent – who knows FAR more about what happened than the other. This person can be identified by their obsessive and/or stingy approach to money and resources. They either still have at least one addiction, or they did in the not-too-distant past. This person has some mental health issues that may or may not have been diagnosed (people who know this person are aware of them though). And they have – or at least had when Harmony first went missing – a significant other who has some kind of information. That’s all I feel comfortable saying. I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think this one ends well. I would welcome being wrong in this case.

Bottom line is that these are just tarot readings. I don’t have any way of knowing for certain what happened.

Morgan Nick

Disappearance: 06/09/1995
Location: Alma, Arkansas

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. Tarot reading is an art and not a science.

Morgan Nick was 6 years old when she disappeared from a parking lot that was located near the Wofford baseball field. She was last seen catching fireflies with other children before she vanished completely.

Question: Who or what caused Morgan’s disappearance?

Row 1
Devil (reversed) – 7 of Pentacles – 6 of Cups

Row 2
Page of Swords – 2 of Wands – Knight of Wands
Card pulled for the Page of Swords: 8 of Cups (reversed)
Card pulled for the Knight of Wands: 3 of Swords

Row 3
The Sun – 5 of Wands – The Lovers

In response to the question regarding who or what caused Morgan’s disappearance, the cards are showing me with energy consistent with an adult male. It was either someone on the younger side or someone who had the mentality of a younger adult. The Devil reversed shows someone who was trying to regain a sense of control over their life. This was likely a person who had a few different things going on in terms of vices and what-not.

The Seven of Pentacles is what is suggesting to me that his mindset might have been that of a younger adult, but in actuality this was likely someone older. This is a card that usually depicts a situation where someone has worked toward something for a while and are waiting to reap the benefits of prior work put in. The card does not always pertain to career or work matters, but it’s telling me this was a person who had accumulated experience by the time they caused Morgan’s disappearance.

The Six of Cups points to a person that might have had some kind of past childhood trauma and/or abuse. It shows me someone who thought a lot about matters dating back to their childhood. They may or may not have shared those details with others, but it is coming up in the reading for a reason – probably as a kind of identifier.

The second row gives me a little more insight into the circumstances surrounding Morgan’s disappearance. First, it doesn’t look like this was a family member or a friend of the family. This is coming across as a stranger. I don’t know if they had any prior interactions with Morgan or her family, but I just want to point out that this is a predatory-type situation where someone looks for victims based on personal preferences regarding age, sex, etc.

The Page of Swords likely represents Morgan. The pages typically represent children, people who behave in ways consistent with a child, or messages. If Morgan was an intelligent child who seems somewhat wise beyond her years, then this card would fit for her. The Eight of Cups reversed is coming up in connection with the Page card. It suggests a person who had concerns about being left behind, or perhaps was not always comfortable being on their own.

The Two of Wands shows travel and movement away from the area. I think he was familiar with the area and region, but he either left because he was worried about being linked to the crime if he stayed or because it wasn’t where he resided. If he did reside there, then he moved immediately or shortly after the abduction. That could be a possible identifier.

The Knight of Wands is the card that likely directly represents the person responsible. He would have come across as warm and friendly. I don’t think he would have been perceived as a threat. At least, not upon first meeting him. This would have been an action-oriented type of person who was always on the lookout for a new adventure or endeavor.

The Three of Swords – in connection with the Knight of Wands – suggests that at the time of Morgan’s disappearance, this person had experienced a pretty significant emotional event, such as a breakup or the loss of someone in their life. I don’t know if this was a trigger for them or if it’s meant to help identify them.

The Sun could refer to a couple of different things. One, it is possible that at some point this person had one or more children. Two, it might point to this person having gotten married or something along those lines. I’m not sure of the exact meaning for this one.

The Five of Wands shows that this person experienced conflict with multiple people. I don’t see his interactions as having been particularly harmonious. I think this was a person was possibly someone who caused or found trouble a lot – almost like they enjoyed it.

The Lovers is a card that either signifies a relationship, a choice, or both. I don’t know how it applies just yet. It could definitely point to their being a sexual component to all of this. If we link this card back to the first one in the reading, then it’s evident that this reading is communicating that this is a sick individual. Their perspective on sex, love, and relationships is not going to align with those of a normal or average person.

Question: What were the circumstances surrounding Morgan’s disappearance?

Row 1
3 of Swords – 2 of Wands – Hierophant (reversed)

Row 2
5 of Swords (reversed) – Empress (reversed) – The Fool (reversed)

Row 3
|Page of Swords – 4 of Swords – The Emperor
Card pulled for the Page of Swords: The Moon (reversed)

The Three of Swords made an appearance again in this second reading. There was definitely some kind of event that caused emotional/mental upset and likely acted as a trigger for the person responsible. It might have more significance than that since getting the same card, in the same upright position, is a way for the cards to emphasize the importance of it.

The Two of Wands is the same travel card. It also indicates some degree of planning in that this person probably sought out opportunities that he was prepared to seize. This card showed up in the last reading and has extra importance as well. I think it’s trying to communicate that this person was not immediately local to Alma. They may have lived in a town or city nearby, but they had to travel a distance to get from Point A to Point B. However, it feels like they had familiarity with the areas they paroled, so to speak.

The Hierophant reversed is showing someone who goes against the norm and tradition. It can represent someone who breaks the law and/or is unconventional.

The Five of Swords reversed is a card that can represent a resolution to a situation. In some cases, it is a violent one. Sometimes I get this card for people that get caught or found out for something and their arrest or incarceration is the resolution. There are a lot of possibilities with this one.

The Empress reversed could indicate that around the time of Morgan’s disappearance, the person who took her was experiencing family or domestic problems. The Empress reversed often points to trouble at home. It can also indicate financial difficulties. The person involved appears to have been operating under a few different stressors.

The Fool reversed is another card that indicates that this person saw an opportunity with Morgan and took it. He can depict taking unnecessary risks or acting in a way that is careless or reckless. So I think there was inherent risk in what he did – in terms of possibly being seen or identified – but he decided to do it anyway.

The Page of Swords is appearing again. This time it is linked to the Moon reversed. I am taking this as a positive sign because I see the Page as representing Morgan as the child that was taken, and the Moon reversed as an indicator of lies being exposed. All of this time has gone by, but the Moon reversed is pointing to a resolution in terms of answers being forthcoming. It is a card that represents the exposing of lies and the unveiling of secrets.

The Four of Swords is a card of rest or inactivity. In criminal types of cases, it can point to someone who is or has been incarcerated. Or it is referring to someone who – for whatever reason – is not active.

The Emperor may represent a man, or some type of event or structure, which paves the way for the secrets and lies to come out. It could represent someone who is working on this case – who has uncovered answers or is on the brink of doing so. Despite the age of this case, it doesn’t feel like it has been forgotten. There may be work behind the scenes that people don’t know about. I hope so at least. The flip side here is that it suggests that there were times when he was active – meaning that Megan may not have been his first and/or his last.

I want to say that nothing in these readings points to Morgan’s parents as having any involvement. I know that sometimes people look to the parents, but there’s not a single card in either reading that suggests anything like this. It actually reads more like a predatorial type of person who was seeking opportunities and took risks in seizing one or more of them. It would be worthwhile to look for other cases that are similar (victims of with similarities in terms of age, sex, and circumstances).

Toby Eugene Anderson was 18 years old when he disappeared in 1988. He was last known to have lived with his uncle. He is also last believed to have been seen by his uncle and he has not since been located.

Question: Who or what caused Toby’s disappearance?

Row 1
Temperance (reversed) – 9 of Cups – Tower (reversed)

Row 2
The Wheel (reversed) – Justice (reversed) – 7 of Cups

Row 3
10 of Wands (reversed) – 6 of Pentacles – The Moon (reversed)

Right away, some things stand out to me about this reading. The first is that Toby’s death was not an accident, nor was it something that was planned out well in advance. I think that something specific happened to cause someone to go after him. It reads like Toby witnessed something and then became collateral damage, basically. Another thing that stands out to me is that it isn’t a secret as to who is responsible here (Moon reversed), but they have not been held accountable legally for what they did regarding Toby (Justice reversed).

So now I will break this reading down. Temperance reversed shows there was some kind of conflict or occurrence that triggered all of this. There are a couple of cards that point to a power imbalance between Toby and the person responsible. There could have been recurring or ongoing discord between Toby and this person.

The Nine of Cups is not completely clear to me here. That is a positive card that points to a person’s wishes being fulfilled, or their goals being accomplished. Maybe this was a situation where the relationship between Toby and this person seemed like it would be a positive one, but if that’s the case then that sentiment likely did not last for long.

The Tower reversed tells me that something happened with the person responsible that was essentially a near-disaster type of situation for him. In these types of readings – especially ones where I feel confident there was some kind of foul play – the Tower reversed can indicate someone almost getting away with doing something bad. In my mind, I see this going down as Toby saw or caught this person doing something they shouldn’t, and this caused his situation to turn on him – as evidenced by the Wheel of Fortune reversed. There is this sense that circumstances were beyond Toby’s control. What I am trying to say is that the events did not turn because of something Toby did specifically; I think they turned because of something he might have witnessed or uncovered.

Justice reversed tells me that the individual that is responsible for Toby’s disappearance has not been held accountable, in a legal sense, for their actions. That is not to say that no one suspects him of being involved. The Moon reversed tells me that a lot of people suspect him of being involved. I don’t see a secret here as far as that is concerned – people know this person’s true nature at this point.

The Seven of Cups tells me that the person responsible for this lives in a fantasy world. This person thinks they have more options than they do, and they believe that whatever stories or lies they spin will be believed. This person is not grounded in reality, which could actually be a good thing in terms of getting to the bottom of this because he likely tells a lot of different stories and then forgets who he told what. This is the kind of person that would be susceptible to tricks like telling them there’s proof of what they did (without telling them what the evidence is or anything about it) and then sitting back to watch them trip on their own lies. He is someone who would likely start saying too much if he felt pressured and felt like whoever he was talking to somehow knew the truth.

The Ten of Wands reversed tells me that this person feels, deep down, as though they are resigned to their own fate. I think they worry they will be caught and kind of look at the situation as being one where it is only a matter of time before it happens. They might be surprised they’ve gotten away with it for this long.

The Six of Pentacles tells me this person used to – and potentially still does, but it’s hard to say because so many decades have passed – manipulate people and situations by creating an uneven power dynamic. Temperance reversed shows the existence of imbalances right from the start, and the Six of Pentacles is showing me someone who probably helped Toby in some way (financially, materially, or by providing shelter) with the knowledge that it would accomplish two goals. The first is it would make it easy to take advantage of people, in whatever way this person may have done that. And second, it made him look like a good person from afar – like a charitable and well-meaning person. Which is not even remotely the reality here.

The Moon reversed tells me a lot of different things. First, some of this person’s lies are already known. This isn’t someone that no one suspects. This is someone that many people already suspect. Second, there is an element of danger here because this person is really invested in getting away with whatever it is they did. There’s a negative energy that comes with this person. I understand that people might say…well, yes that’s because he did something terrible. But it’s deeper than that and I can’t put my finger on it. There’s a lot more to uncover about this person. Beyond just the situation with Toby. There’s more here.

Question: What circumstances caused Toby’s disappearance?

Row 1
Queen of Swords (reversed) – 2 of Swords – The Wheel (reversed)
Card pulled for the Queen of Swords (r): Ace of Cups (reversed)

Row 2
8 of Cups (reversed) – Tower (reversed) – Queen of Wands
Card pulled for the Queen of Wands: Chariot (reversed)

Row 3
Queen of Cups – The Sun – 10 of Swords
Card pulled for the Queen of Cups: Strength

Asking the cards about the circumstances surrounding Toby’s disappearance has presented me with clarity on some issues, but more questions on others. The Queen of Swords reversed is telling me there is a female involved in this. I’m not saying the female did anything to Toby (that I can’t tell here), but there’s a female with information and knowledge about the events that transpired at the time of Toby’s disappearance. Something I am unsure about is the age of the person then, versus the age of the person now. Either way, this person wouldn’t have been known for things like honesty, good parenting skills, and productive communication. This is likely someone who probably experienced past trauma and had some very serious issues going on with them as a result. The Ace of Cups reversed tells me this person might have had issues with pregnancies, miscarriages, or infertility. They also probably exhibited signs of depression. There was (and maybe still is) a lot going on with this person.

The Two of Swords suggests that Toby was in a situation where at first, he might have been in a kind of denial about. I’m not getting the feeling he had a lot of options in his life at the time and so he might have felt stuck or trapped in a situation that he knew deep down was a bad one.

The Wheel reversed is appearing again in this reading and it reiterates to me that this change in fortune, which occurred regarding Toby, was caused by outside forces or influences – meaning Toby didn’t disappear of his own volition. Someone else made that happen.

The Eight of Cups reversed is suggesting that Toby was worried about leaving the situation and moving on. First, he is coming across as not feeling like he had a lot of other options. Second, I think he wanted to belong somewhere and was trying to make situations work that were already dysfunctional to begin with.

The Tower reversed appeared again. It’s definitely pointing to a situation where there was what was viewed as a near crisis event. In my mind, I keep thinking that he saw something. He witnessed something that would be extremely damaging and the whole situation was completely turned on him. I don’t know what the latter part means about the situation being turned on him, but that’s what I’m getting here.

The Queen of Wands suggests the presence of another person with adult and female energy in this situation. The Chariot reversed came up in connection with this person and it could represent a point of contention of conflict. I wonder if there was some kind of jealousy situation going on. Maybe a situation where Toby got attention from a female and that also created conflict between the person responsible and Toby. I don’t know. I am not sure what to make of this part. There seem to have been several underlying dynamics. Maybe this person helped cover something up after the fact. Hard to say here.

The Queen of Cups is coming across as a person that is trying to expose or uncover the identity of the person involved. Or someone who knows their identity and wants to make it known to others. Strength was pulled in relation to this person and that tells me they are not going to stop. They want justice and they aren’t going to be intimidated or deterred. Also, the Queen of Cups is someone who is highly intuitive – sometimes to the point of either being psychic or having underlying psychic-types of abilities – and they have strong feelings about what happened here – feelings that might be frustrating because it is hard to get others to fully take them seriously without concrete and solid proof. So if this person is looking for a way to find Toby, I would recommend considering what feelings and intuitions they have

The Sun is a positive sign in a reading like this. I think the person represented in the Queen’s position is trying to bring lies and wrongdoings into the light. It feels like their sheer determination may accomplish this, though it’s hard to say for sure here.

The Ten of Swords is not a positive sign for Toby in that it suggests he was betrayed, and that harm came to him. I don’t like to say that with absolute certainty in reference to readings, but it does really look like the outcome was not good for Toby unfortunately.

Lina Sadar Khil

Disappearance: 12/20/2021
Location: San Antonio, Texas

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. Tarot reading is an art and not a science.

Lina Sadar Khil reportedly disappeared from a playground on December 20th of 2021. She is described as being 3 years old at the time she went missing. The playground was at the apartment complex where her family lives.

Question: Who or what caused Lina’s disappearance?

Row 1
5 of Wands – 2 of Pentacles (reversed) – Hermit (reversed)

Row 2
Judgement – Knight of Pentacles (reversed) – Death
Card pulled for the Knight of Pentacles (r): 9 of Swords (reversed)

Row 3
7 of Cups (reversed) – Justice – 2 of Swords

In response to the question about who or what caused Lina’s disappearance, the Five of Wands is showing me a person who experiences a lot of conflict in their life – stemming from multiple sources. They might tend to act territorial or unnecessarily defensive.

The person is depicted as struggling with material and/or financial matters. This might be someone who makes poor financial choices or is not good with managing money. If so, this is a major source of stress for this person.

The Hermit reversed shows a person who comes across as anti-social and withdrawn. They might be viewed as an outsider, generally speaking, and are perceived as reclusive. The person might be prone to experiencing paranoia or communicating those types of thoughts or concerns.

Judgement is a card that I see come up in situations where a person, or people, are fated – for lack of a better word – to experience a reckoning. In some cases, like Ryan Rogers’, it points to a person who will get caught for whatever role they played in a person’s disappearance (or death, as the case was for Ryan).

The Knight of Pentacles reversed is showing someone with a younger male type of energy. The person may not be a young adult, but if they are older then they have the energy or mentality of someone who is on the younger side of adulthood. This is a person who can be irresponsible, focused on material matters, and someone who exhibits a sense of general apathy. I pulled the Nine of Swords reversed, in connection with this person, and it may represent someone who is experiencing shame or is on the verge of a mental breakdown. Sometimes it depicts a person who is seeking health or guidance in relation to these issues.

Death usually represents a major change or transformation that has occurred. Sometimes it is for the better and sometimes not. It can at times represent an actual death, but that is not its typical purpose for appearing in a reading. It might point to major upheavals or occurrences that have taken place in this individual’s life that could explain what has happened, or at least give some idea of a motive.

The Seven of Cups reversed suggests this person might now be facing a sobering reality in terms of realizing they are trapped by their actions or circumstances. It is often a card showing someone who has made poor choices and they are avoiding the inevitable, as well as living in denial about the severity of their situation – or things they have done.

Justice suggests that the legal aspects of this situation will work out as they should – which also implies that if the person this reading is describing harmed Lina, or is truly responsible for her disappearance in some way, then they will ultimately be held accountable for it. It’s a card pertaining to karma and potential consequences associated with one’s choices or behaviors.

The Two of Swords shows that this person is in a kind of denial about their reality and/or situation. However, they are also aware that their choices are limited. The card might also point to other people failing to see this situation for what it is – or this person. There is a general sense of denial or clouded perspective pertaining to what happened to Lina, but I don’t know where that is stemming from or why it is occurring.

The reading is odd in that it does clearly outline a person that is involved in some way, shape, or form. It is not outright saying that this person caused her harm either. But it is suggesting that if someone acted in the wrong regarding Lina, there will be consequences for it. They will be held to account – if that’s the case.

Question: What circumstances caused Lina’s disappearance?

Row 1
The World – The Emperor (reversed) – 7 of Wands (reversed)

Row 2
7 of Pentacles (reversed) – 8 of Wands – 3 of Cups

Row 3
2 of Wands (reversed) – Ace of Pentacles – 10 of Cups

In reference to the question about what circumstances caused Lina’s disappearance, the reading is beginning with the World. This is a card showing something that has come or will come full circle. It can represent the completion of a cycle – whether that pertains to a situation or someone’s life. I have to point out that I have gotten this card sometimes in the past for cases where the person was murdered. I’m not saying it absolutely represents that here, but it’s possible that is what this card is communicating.

The Emperor reversed is showing someone who acts as a fatherly type of figure, but likely abuses their sense of authority – someone who is controlling and rigid in their ways. This might have been a situation where someone saw Lina on her own and convinced her to go willingly with them under the pretense that they were going to take her to her family or something along those lines. That is just one of many possible examples.

The Seven of Wands reversed is suggesting that Lina was in a situation where she did not feel she could protect herself or gain power/control over the situation. It’s a card that often depicts someone who feels there is no use in fighting their situation or circumstances and so they give in to them.

The Seven of Pentacles reversed typically represents a situation where someone has made poor financial or business decisions. It can also point to a person who starts things that they don’t really follow through with. They don’t put in enough effort and so they experience failure. I’m not sure how this pertains to this particular situation, but it is relevant and important somehow.

The Eight of Wands show circumstances that unfolded quickly. It is kind of a situation where everything is aligned in such a way that a person feels presented with an opportunity. It makes me think that whatever happened with Lina was not planned out well in advance – or at least not in such a way where anyone involved anticipated having this kind of chance or opening right when it happened. I am not sure of the best way to explain it. If it is a crime, then it is one of opportunity, though the person might have been waiting for one such opportunity to present for a while. That part is hard to know for sure.

The Three of Cups can represent a happy occasion, a reunion, or a type of gathering.

The Ace of Pentacles represents new opportunities or beginnings pertaining to money or material matters.

The Ten of Cups usually depicts happy familial or social situations. The three cards, on the last row, suggest a possible positive outcome. However, this aspect of the reading is extremely unclear to me. This last row could have a different meaning that is not quite coming to me. The last card can sometimes be a homecoming one as well. I’m hoping that somehow Lina is located, alive, and reunited with her family.

There are several aspects of both readings that are not entirely clear to me. These are just tarot readings, so it is hard to say how much of this will prove accurate. It is one of those situations where this all might make a lot more sense once the truth about what happened is revealed. If someone took her, or harmed her, or saw what happened to her…they are best off telling what they know before the information is uncovered some other way.

And no, I do not think the parents were in any way involved here.

Alicia Navarro

Disappearance: 09/15/2019
Location: Glendale, Arizona

Disclaimer: Tarot readings should not be taken as absolute claims that something did or did not happen. I only report the meaning of the cards, their relationships and the meaning in the context of those relationships, as well as intuitions I have based entirely on the cards presented in the reading. Tarot reading is an art and not a science.

Alicia Navarro was 14-years-old when she disappeared on September 15th, 2019. She reportedly left a handwritten note that read “I ran away. I will be back, I swear. I’m sorry.”

Question: Who or what caused Alicia Navarro’s disappearance?

Row 1
The World – Ace of Cups – 10 of Wands

Row 2
King of Wands (reversed) – Strength (reversed) – 5 of Wands
Card pulled for the King of Wands (r): The Emperor

Row 3
10 of Cups (reversed) – 6 of Cups (reversed) – High Priestess (reversed)

The first reading begins with The World which shows a situation that has come full circle. Sometimes – though this is not always the case – I have had this card appear in readings where a person was murdered. It is a card showing something that has come full circle, or the completion of a cycle, so it can have different meanings that depend on the situation.

The person involved in Alicia’s disappearance – and though there may be more than one, this reading is only focusing on one in particular – presented a type of new beginning or situation to Alicia. It is a card that can be associated with the beginnings of a romance or can represent socializing with one or more new people in general. At times it represents pregnancy, but not always.

The Ten of Wands is showing that the person involved felt overloaded with stress and felt they were being taken for granted. I don’t mean that they felt this way in relation to Alicia; I am saying that they were not in a good mindset at the time of her disappearance. They might have been under more pressure than usual.

The King of Wands reversed usually represents an adult male. In its upright position, the King of Wands has many positive qualities. However, the reversed position emphasizes many negative characteristics. Such a person is likely to have a volatile temper, make promises they have no intention of keeping, and behave forcefully or aggressively. The Emperor reversed shows that this person abused – and perhaps still abuses – their authority. The Emperor can represent a father-type figure. I’m not saying the person is Alicia’s dad. I’m saying that this person could be a father to one or more children. If so, this is a person who is neglectful or lacking in parenting skills. From a personality standpoint, this is a person with a rigid and controlling demeanor. A control freak who likes to dominate people and situations, basically.

Strength reversed is suggesting to me that this person takes advantage of people he sees as vulnerable or weak. I am definitely getting a predatory vibe in that it seems like this person identifies individuals who might be lacking in confidence, or who might have a lot of inner self-doubt, and plays upon those insecurities.

The Five of Wands may refer to things that were happening in this person’s life at the time. They might have felt pulled in myriad directions. If it relates to Alicia in any way, it points to this person having a different agenda than the one they present publicly or to the people they interact with, like Alicia.

The Ten of Cups reversed is suggesting that the person involved had, and might still have, a bad home life. They may have experienced a dysfunctional or broken home while growing up, or they might have been connected to one at the time Alicia disappeared.

The Six of Cups reversed can point to abuse or issues in a person’s childhood. In some cases, it points to people working toward resolving these issues. In others, it can suggest a person behaves the way they do as an adult because of them.

The High Priestess reversed is telling me that this person was a hidden danger or enemy. Alicia would not have initially known – or even suspected – what this individual was really doing. It’s also a card that can point to a betrayal and so I could see a scenario where Alicia met this person (in the real world or online) and took them at face value, but were being deceived. If Alicia had any intuitions or feelings about this person, she ignored or dismissed them – perhaps because she didn’t have experience with predatory types of people or because she simply accepted people as they presented themselves.

Question: What circumstances caused Alicia Navarro’s disappearance?

Row 1
Strength (reversed) – The Devil – 2 of Cups

Row 2
9 of Swords (reversed) – Knight of Cups (reversed) – The Fool (reversed)
Card pulled for the Knight of Cups (r): 2 of Swords (reversed)

Row 3
The World – The Magician (reversed) – 4 of Swords (reversed)

This reading is giving me a better idea of how some of this all played out. Strength reversed is showing Alicia as being in a mindset where she was experiencing self-doubt and a lack of certainty about her ability to handle various responsibilities or expectations. I want to point out that she was only 14 when she disappeared and so these feelings are completely normal for teens of that age – especially females.

But these vulnerabilities are important to note because they are what some people seek out and prey upon. The next card in the reading, the Devil, is confirming that there is some real darkness surrounding this situation. The person involved in this has more than their fair share of inner demons that compel them to behave in a particular manner. This reading is absolutely reinforcing the feeling I got from the first one, which was that there is a predatory component to this situation.

The Two of Cups makes me wonder if this person presented themselves as someone else and initiated a kind of romantic interest type of situation. I keep thinking of the word “catfished”. I could be wrong, but I think this is an older person that presented themselves as younger. The reading eventually introduces the Magician reversed and that tells me that this person conned or tricked Alicia. They were not the person they said they were.

The Nine of Swords reversed signifies a feeling that things are going to get better and that there is help available. Maybe this individual posed as a friend, or romantic interest, that gave Alicia support and guidance. The problem with the Swords is that they can sometimes signify what goes on in people’s mind more than what happens in reality. So she might have felt like this person wanted to genuinely help her in positive ways, even though the reality is that they would do the opposite.

The Knight of Cups reversed, in connection with the Two of Swords reversed, is essentially saying to me that the mask this person wore (so to speak) was removed. Their truth and their lies were exposed – either because they showed Alicia who they really were, or she found out another way. So the person probably tried to come across as having the characteristics associated with the Knight of Cups in its upright position – romantic, helpful, sensitive, kind, etc. However, the Two of Swords reversed is saying they were revealed as having characteristics more aligned with this card in the reversed position: obsessive, moody, and prone to lying.

The Fool reversed shows that Alicia took this person literally and at their word. She might have known deep down that something was amiss with the situation, but she took a leap of faith and trusted them. She took risks that she probably wouldn’t ordinarily have taken. She acted in a way that is generally uncharacteristic for her.

The World shows a situation coming full circle. I got this card in both readings. I hope it does not mean she was murdered. I would really like for this situation to have a happy ending somehow. It depicts something that has come full circle or reached a stage of completion, but it is not always clear in terms of whether it is showing a person or a situation as coming to an end.

The Magician reversed is someone who uses their knowledge, skills, resources, and abilities to deceive and trick people. It can represent a con artist. It can depict someone with narcissistic tendencies. Whoever is involved in all this is not a stupid person. They are cunning and effective at manipulating situations or people. But they are also prone to being overly confident and this could result in them being found out.

The Four of Swords reversed denotes a period of calm and recovery. There is a possibility that the person involved isolated themselves somewhat after Alicia disappeared. However, this card suggests they may have re-emerged in a public sense and that they might feel as though they are safe because no one has caught them yet. Sometimes this card can point to a breakdown in mental health also, but an unwillingness to accept help or treatment for it.

Two cards that make me think this person will be identified include the World and the Two of Swords reversed. The World shows something coming full circle and so it suggests that the answers about what happened will come if people diligently seek them out. The Two of Swords reversed is a card where a person is exposed for who they really are, and this could speak to this whole situation generally in that this person could very well get caught.

So there are two scenarios that might describe how Alicia came in contact with this person. The first is in the real world. This person would have come across as someone who wanted to guide or help her, most likely. I do not see any of this as a complete stranger abduction type of situation. I think she was manipulated in such a way that she felt she was acting of her own free will – until it became apparent to her that everything was not as it seemed.

The second scenario is that she met this person in the online environment. The latter seems the most likely because the reading conveys a strong amount of deception and trickery – things that are easier to pull off online. However, I can’t rule out the possibility that she knew or met this person in some aspect of her day-to-day life. All of that said, there could be an electronic trail leading back to this person. I’m sure there’s already been an effort to find that. Keep in mind, this is not someone who fails to plan. He might be someone who encourages/encouraged people to use apps that do not provide a record of conversations the way traditional text or instant messaging ones do.

Could she be alive? It’s possible. I really don’t know. But I’m worried that the person involved is not a one and done type. This person might have already done this before, may have done it again since, or may do it again in the future.
